Denny's is a chain restaurant that tres to capture that old-school diner ambiance and for the most part succeeds in capturing that vibe. This place is very horrible. It's not clean and your first impression when Justin tries to sit you down is very rude The young man has no manners and no communication skills. Sharon was our waitress and also was rude half the stuff that we asked for was not even on the menu as she stated they are receiving a new menu. Myself, my husband and our kids decided on this location last minute because of the location being in our neighborhood. Bad idea. Customer Service from the manger on down to the servers TRASH. Two medium steak and eggs for us. Three birthday pancakes for the kids. Everything was cold obviously. the kids didn't care so we let them eat. We couldn't even cut the steaks so those got sent back. I visited on April 3 for a late lunch (around 3:00 pm.) The server had a great sense of humor, fast, efficient.....WONDERFUL! I watched her with other customers and she was the same with them. We saw the staff sing a special birthday song to another guest, and another employee went out of their way to give us lemons for our water, while our server was assisting another customer. If I could leave zero stars I would we couldn't even all get to sit down before they even tell us that we HAVE to pay 20% gratituity tip as if we were not going to tip. That was very judgy of them to do that. They tried sitting us as a party of 7 where it's for 4 people to sit and as if that weren't enough we ordered 2 tbone steaks and they got our whole family sick because we were sharing the steaks and all the food. It's been around for a while, and although the main thing is to get food there, this one actually surprised me; Let me explain: This location is behind the Strat, and has two entrances. Upon arriving I was greeted and immediately seated (they had hand sanitizer pumps) They have virtual menus for those who prefer to not touch anything physical. Staff was wearing masks and seemed jolly. The waitress was very polite and quick. After we ordered the food came fairly quickly which shocked me (Dennys NEVER gets your food quick) They were also fundraising to get food for kids in need of food and they actually did a little performance for the audience (every 30 minutes) The food was great, and the speed was fast allowing me more time to enjoy my vacation. Minor, but efficient things can be improved are bringing condiments (or at least asking) like the ketchup, sauce or napkins. Also distancing people from tables, there was a gentleman who sat at the table next to ours. Even though it was a double table and he sat farthest from us, it still uneasy being too close to people especially when not wearing masks. Beside those minor improvements everything is great!
