I am a Denny's fan! with that said; I was part of a 3 adult 3 kid party, we arrived when the place was not too busy, long story short we ordered after a 10 min wait, one drink was just carbonated water, salad was missing croutons, my food was missing the avocado, and we waited 35 mins for a chicken salad. I asked the cashier about it because our server was nowhere to be found. I asked for the manager and he had the server tell me he would be by when he finished with some plates. 15mins later he shows up and after I told him what was up he says ok, even after I told him it had taken him 15 mins to acknowledge us, he flat out said "I have to do what I have to do" I asked for his manger's number and his name. he gave me the info and told me that I was more than welcome to call. As we are ready to pay he tell us he has taken care of the bill and he was sorry about what happened that one of his chef's had died but we were still more than welcome to call his boss if we wanted. I am very sorry that happened BUT I cannot believe after the service we received he tried to guilt me into not complaining. We made sure to tell him we didn't go in with the intent of getting free food and that an apology would have sufficed, instead we got even worse service! I have made the call to his manager Ruben Rodriguez he apologized and made it clear that is not the way to handle anything at Denny's. The food was good, but great service makes even bad food bearable! I hope Armando Chavez gets a whole lot of coaching regarding good customer service. read more

Inedible steak. Sent back to re-fire and try to get beyond raw, and it came back cold. And just as raw. Meal was delivered over more than 20 minutes with dishes coming one at a time. Server was pleasant. Host was completely disengaged and borderline hostile while seating us. Kitchen needs as lot of work to plate edible food as ordered. Overall a very poor experience. The hostess "cleaned" our table yet there are crumbs on the table and seats. There is a lipstick stain on my mom's coffee cup (she hasn't had a drink from it and she's not wearing lipstick). The bathroom has had a "closed" sign for cleaning for about 10 to 15 mins. I've been on the road for 3 hours, my bladder is about to explode but these people can't clean a bathroom in a city where you stop only to go to the bathroom in a reasonable amount of time. The waitresses here, though, feel they're Hollywood superstars. They're wearing a face full of caked makeup... but they can't even clean a table or wash a cup. We ended up canceling our order. when you see this Denny's just keep on driving... Ok, I guess I have to admit I didn't actually EAT there, but I did try and that was a battle in and of itself. This was the only "sit down' place off of the highway at the point I needed to refuel. We got there and the line JUST TO CHECK IN was out the door. There were tons of open tables but just total chaos at the door. There was one person ringing up people and I guess one person seating people but there was no one around where you could ask how long the wait was, put your name in, or anything. After waiting half in and half out the door for 5 minutes we gave up and hit fast food. Funny my BFF who was also traveling separately stopped at this Denny's with her family. She said it was a horrible experience and took them 2 HOURS to get fed and out. Now, I admitted, I can't comment on the food, but unless you have all the time in the world, hit a different Denny's on this highway or you will be there a long time and that is what I have to say about that, lol! read more

This place is not worth of the name Denny's which isn't all that great to begin with....THIS place is beneath them. We were stuck in holiday traffic so stopped in to stay at the days inn in the same parking lot (very creepy hotel). There was fast food or Denny's so we chose Denny's for dinner. It was horrible and poor service but I thought surely they wouldn't screw up breakfast so we ate there again before hitting the road. Same poor service with a different server...she, like our evening server managed to get a very simple order wrong & parts of our meals came out at a time so everyone ate something cold. I'm not a fast food fan but I'd recommend any of the nearby fast food joints over this place. read more

I won't bore you with an incredibly long story, so to make it short - they got our order wrong, a couple things never came out - the stuff that did come out came out at different times, the food was not good, and not to mention took FOREVER and all we ordered was soup and french fries - our garlic bread and gravy ordered never came. The restrooms were 'closed for cleaning' the entire time we were there. When we finally went up to ask for our bill we were charged for more than we ordered. We stopped for gas and decided to have breakfast at 9:30 am on our way tdog8poopo LA from the bayarea. I ordered the $4 everyday Slam and my wife got blueberry pancakes with banana slices on top. I went to this Dennys with 2 of my friends on our way to Disneyland. We had 3 hours left on our drive and needed food asap. We got seated right away and our waiter seemed nice we ordered about 10 min after being seated. This is where everything took a huge turn. It took almost an hour for us to get our food due to there only being two cooks in the kitchen. We ordered a sandwich a chicken wrap and an appetizer. Multiple people were waiting to be seated while the hostess stood around talking to a couple of her friends, which in my opinion is the farthest thing from professional. Quite a few people left before even being seated due to frustration. The food was decent just shouldnt have taken as long as it did. I wouldnt stop here again. read more

Wow!! I have to say I usually avoid Denny's. I came in today to the one in Lost Hills. Everything was clean, I was seated right away, and our service was exceptional. Stopped in on the way down to L.A. fro San Francisco, hoping it would be better than the last Denny's we stopped at on the way up. Too bad. The sausage skillet breakfast my dining companion ordered tasted, he said, like it was cooked hours earlier and reheated (it looked that way as well) - the chicken and sausage quesedilla would have been actually edible were it not for bitter, stale tortillas, and the incredibly lousy plastic cheese spread or slices they use. Bitter salsa on the side as well. It was inedible and I left half of it if not more. The ladies' restroom was a horror show. Skip this place and choose any fast-food staple blind-folded and you'll do better. Denny's has proven to me for the 25th time it has no interest in keeping customers or getting new ones. Their policy of charging a buck for toast with any breakfast is just the last straw. We're done. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I totally would! We had such a bad experience! First off when we got our menus they were very dirty and sticky! They had not been cleaned. Then we ordered our food and my parents asked for a PUMKIN PIE with their coffee. They got PECAN PIE literally when we were done eating! We ordered a BYO burger and the bread was super cold and not toasted! Our French toast was literally dried bread and my garlic bread wasn't even toasted! we waited for my dads salad for over 30 minutes! For a salad! And to top it off they messed up on the dressing and our chicken was super super cold! Very bad experience! I then asked to speak to a supervisor about this, since I work at a food place, I thought she would like to know how service was, I then told her very friendly and calm, and she looked at me and stayed quiet while smirking!
