The worst place to eat ,morning noon or night this denny's just don't know how to get there priorities together. List of things that are just wrong about this Denny's. 1: Does Not meet servsafe standards on food storage or keeping their bar fresh or updated or clean. 2:Staff is unprofessional 3:MGR is so unprofessional and rude , not care to the customers feelings whatsoever. 4:Food way late 5:NO HOSPITALITY 6:Needs a new owner 7:expect your drinks to be late as well as your food or even not right . 8:expect to wait almost an hour just to be seated even if the place isn't busy. Worst Denny's experience I have ever had. For the most part the food of others in my party was what you would expect from a Denny's, mine was not. I ordered the chicken tenders/ sampler. The chicken was not cooked, in fact it was completely raw. I put the bite I had taken back on my plate, and asked the waiter if I could at least have it recooked. They "recooked" it, and brought it back. Not only was it still uncooked, they included the already chewed chunk of chicken. When I brought my situation up to the supervisor on duty, not only was he rude, he also told me "that it was safe to eat". Please skip this stop on your next trip down 99. Happy eating. read more

I knew they were going to be busy on a Sunday, especially at lunch. They were doing there best to keep up with the packed house. Emilee was a great server and handled the pressure as well as could be expected. I only gave them four stars because the cook didn't cook my grits. Emilee heated them for me but were still extra gritty. The manager didn't charge me for them and was really apologetic and gracious for my visit. I will definitely come back again and hopefully Emilee can serve me again. read more

Sweet Jesus Lord almighty this place is awful. So I go in with my boyfriend one day. The super rude waitress finally decides to take our drink order TWENTY minutes after we sit down. It was kinda funny because there were only two other tables there, both of which already had their food. Another 20 minutes later, she takes our FOOD order. Hadn't been to this one in a while and when I walked in was pleased with the remodel, but man everything else was awful. When the waitress brought out drinks there was water all over due to her overfilling my kids cup and didn't even apologize when it went all over. Then asked for creamer for coffee and my husband had to take it from another table. Then the waitress brought us pancakes we didn't even order and to top it off no syrup for the ones we did order. Two waters, a coffee and a soda. She brought A glass of water. Then she brought one more glass of water. Then the soda. Finally the coffee. She had to be told three separate times no creamer. We shared a Lumberjack breakfast and everything on the plate was swimming in butter. But we did not get our pancakes with our breakfast. If I could give this establishment less than 1 star I would. My partner and I arrived before noon asking to be seated. We waited in line for about 5 min then was asked our name along with everyone else in the line. We sat down and was patient. After about 10 min my partner stood up and asked if we would be seated soon. This African American lady named Celine or Cecilia took us to a table. We asked if it would be a Terrible Inconvenience if we had the booth open by the window since we had our 7 pound service dog with us and didn't want to sit with him in the middle of the room. We were trying to be courteous. She said no. There was no one to wait on us at that booth. We returned to the wait area. I apologized for not saying we needed a booth in the beginning. 10 more min passed and my parter again stood and pointed at two booth open near us and she was waved over to an empty booth by the same lady. She did not come to get us just pointed from across the room while she was talking to another employee. She came by a bit later and said nothing just walked by. Immediately we then watched her seat an older African American couple in the very booth we asked for!!! She brought them water and menus all the while we watched with no service. She then walked by our table and my partner said may we have menus and she replied I'm just the hosted to seat people. Someone will be here soon. We couldn't believe it. She then sat another two people Hispanic mom and daughter, right in front of us with menus and went to get them hot cocoa and soda. We couldn't imagine what was happening. Finally the waitress Julie came over asked us for our drink order and when my partner began to tell her our frustrations she didn't want to hear it. She defended the hostess. Then when we got our story out she said oh dear I will get a manager. That's wrong. Our waitress even sat in the booth with us next to my partner taking our order. What??!! I've never had a wait person come just sit down with us. Finally we got drinks and our food but both other couples seated were now paying and leaving. It had been that long. A manager did come over but told us to put our 7 pound dog clearly marked as a service animal with his vest on the floor under the table. There was food and trash and something sticky that got all over my dog. When we told her how upset we were about the customer service issue, she said she wasn't a manager that she was acting in charge for the day. I told her all I want is an apology from the Hostess. She assured us she would speak to her. We went to pay. The lady acting manager, took our money and gave us a 15 percent off our bill. I said I guess we are not going to get that apology. The hostess walked behind the "manager" and smiled big and stood there. No apology. If I treated someone less than I would feel compelled to make it right. I guess not everyone is like that. Customer service is truly lacking. Cleanliness is terrible. Food was subpar. Unbelievable!!! My partner and I are a same sex couple. Been to other Denny's but I gotta say worst service ever in this Madera area all employees having a personal conversations which I wouldn't mind if they weren't so loud. They weren't even around to help me or other customers waiting. Tables and utensils were filthy and service wasn't to busy. My server Robert C, and employees Mathew, Jacob, and a girl were just flirting even sounded like they were touching each other in the back which was pretty disturbing. Walked in tonight around 10:25pm with my family. There was 2 gentlemen in front of us waiting to be seated and the little girl working the front register did her best not to acknowledge anyone or make any effort in giving customer service. She kept playing with the register, swiping her card in it and would periodically look at the line building up and didn't say one word to anyone. I mean, a "welcome to Denny's, I apologize about the wait, we will be with you in just a moment" would've been nice. A waiter then walked up next to her and he asked "has anyone been helped?", not sure if she gave him an answer but right after, they both disappeared and there everyone was waiting in line, not being helped. I'm from Los Angeles this was better than most of the Denny's that I've been to. Our server Fonda was great! She listened to what I wanted and the options I needed as a Vegan. I was super happy with the way my food came out. My mom got her coffee hot and was offered refills. My boyfriend was very happy with his food and they didn't give him any issues with his substitutions. Overall this was a great place to stop by for breakfast on our way back home. Ask for Fonda if you want a server who listens :) read more

We sat for about 15 min with no service..then when I received my food my whole plate was cold when I told them they straight up microwaved it and my ham was DRY ASF looked like beef jerky nd burnt on 1 side i also ordered yolks eggs and they were completely well done with no yolks and my babies food hasnt even gotten to us yet either. Then they bring my toast when I'm completely finished with my food and it's not even toast its warm bread along with my babies food which is sooo hot he cant even touch it for another 15 min and mind you we are completely done with our meals when his food finally comes. We werent offered refills on our drinks nor did we receive any napkins at all what so ever. However we were charged our full amount and they left the bill when I got up to use the restroom instead of bringing it while I was still at the table. This was horrible I didnt come to eat microwaved food and we all came to est together instead my baby got full off of our food so he didnt even wind up eating his food at all and we were still charged for it.
