We ordered a plate of spicy chicken on a hot plate. I noticed there was only potatoes and gravy with little chorizo underneath the over easy eggs. The chicken was missing. I walked to the cashier to pay and I asked to look at his menu. I paid for our meal then told the cashier that the chicken was missing. He refused to reimburse me and blamed another guy for forgetting the chicken. I shouldn't of been charged for a dish that he made a mistake on. He offered me $5 (he said from his own money), but I left a $6 tip. First of all, he never apologized and never acknowledged his mistake. Secondly, he refused to reimburse me, saying "But I already charged you", like 3x, gaslighting me. The meal was incomplete missing the main protein, like buying a cheeseburger without the burger. What gets to me is he knew about it but tried to cover it up, and on top of that, he didn't reimburse me~ only handing me $5, when I left a $6 tip. Something is wrong with this. I don't feel validated for the waiter/cooks mistake. He didn't know how to resolve this properly and intentionally hid his mistake hoping we didn't notice. I honestly don't care if I already paid for it, reimburse me for that plate because it was missing the chicken! You can't negotiate the chicken by literally handing me my tip back. If it was a small eatery and I was dealing with the owner, it's a different story. But a food chain Restaurant like Denny's has certain protocols to follow. Placed an order for pickup, called when I got to the parking space. Manager "Jenny" picked up the phone to answer and as soon as I said I'm here to pick up my curbside order, she hung up on me. I proceeded to go inside to get my order and Jenny was hiding in the kitchen area. Another employee gave me my order. He was very helpful. Horrible management, maybe promote the other employer who's actually running around assisting the customer's, than someone who has rude customer service. This has to be one of the best places I've been to in a while. The staff is awesome and the food is dynamite. My eggs were fluffy for an omelette that was really good. We've been waiting for Denny's to open as it has been opened last week. Me and my family decided to have dinner here tonight. We were hoping that when we showed up it wouldn't be busy since it's still new. But we took the chance and came. The restaurant has a cute little sitting area on the side of the restaurant. They should definitely add a little bit more towards that since it's a pretty big space. As for the restaurant itself, it has that new feel. We were greeted right away when we came in. I usually like going here but this is not okay. Salads take NO PREPARATION. All that is required is to put the items in the box. Unfortunately they were taken off the warmers before arrival and food was cold by the time I drove the 5 minutes home. A complete waste of 46 dollars. I called the manager and tried to stress how cold the chicken was and how dangerous it was and the female manager pretty much wasn't interested in responding to what I was saying at all. We recently ordered delivery from this Denny's and keep in mind we live 5 minutes away, but when we got our food not only was it freaking cold like they took it out of the refrigerator but the desserts were a disaster. They looked like slop they just threw in a container and one was completely incorrect but still slop. It seriously looked like throw up. How can they actually think this is satisfactory? I have called on other specials and I guess because they are located in French Valley (where there isn't any competition they can charge whatever they want. Over the years past, I have never been a fan of Denny's but BOY have they improved their food and service!! The bourbon burger is incredible! I'm also addicted to the Choco-Nana pancakes. I keep going back! My favorite server is Jordyn. She is so efficient and sweet! I think we asked her for a dozen things and even got food to go for my mom at home. Fairly new place... it was crowded but was was hungry. Waiting a minute and we're seated at the counter, our choice. Took a bit once food was ordered but place was a madhouse... Once we got our food, everything looked great.. we had turkey bacon, hash browns, over-easy eggs and pancakes... they were cooked perfectly.. the pancakes were thee best! Nice size and fluffiness! Turkey bacons were thick... hash weren't burnt ... eggs perfect! Although it was a bit crazy in there, our waitress, I'll call her "short stack" was awesome. Very attentive, courteous, and continued to smile throughout that morning.. she was awesome!
