This is my go-to diner spot for a classic breakfast. I always order their country friend steak with extra gravy and a biscuit. I love dipping my biscuit in the gravy or spread their homemade jam and butter on it..delicious! The old school diner feel with a classic breakfast is what i love about this place. It's definitely got an old school vibe but it's all part of their charm. The service sometimes isn't the fastest but everyone is always so nice and friendly!

We are BACK again and this time we brought COCO our 10 month Samoyed with us. This is her second time here and she loves the SPACIOUS and QUIET outdoor patio but this time it wasn't so quiet because... This clean and organized retro-style diner, is located in the 'Villages @ Paseo del Sol' shopping center on Temecula Pkwy (Hwy 79 South) and Camino Del Sol, by the Home Depot with plenty of parking. Fun, 50s-inspired decor, with classic booth and counter seating. There's also outdoor/patio seating. We enjoy the Murrieta location, but we wanted to try this location as well. We visited for breakfast in need of coffee. My mom loves that her senior meal comes with a hot cup of coffee included. I had their "Pride of the Diner #1" which consists of two eggs, strips of perfectly cooked bacon, homestyle potatoes, and a fresh and fluffy cinnamon roll. The included premium Colombian coffee was fresh, smooth, and rich. Everything tasted really good! Service was great. Roxana and Stella were very attentive making sure our coffee cups were never empty. You pay your bill at the register when done. I love that they have a wood smoker in the front. Definitely coming back for lunch or dinner.

This place is off the charts honestly, wish we had one back east. The food was amazing, steak cooked to perfection, eggs were great, and the hash browns were most likely the best thing about It. Not sure what they put on those but they were really good. The inside reminds you of an 80's style diner which brings good vibes. Had Hailey as a waitress and she was so nice and got me everything I needed and more. Definitely gonna be a spot I make a point to go to when I'm out here.

Restaurants normally don't serve a piece of garlic bread like this. It looks like somebody pinched or took a bite off of it.

A little disappointed with Richie's. My sausage gravy wasn't hot at all, and they can be more generous when serving it with biscuits. My wife didn't touch her garlic bread because it looks like someone pinched a piece off of it. Our server was good though, very nice and attentive. Dining area is the same, comfy and clean.

Had to try dinner here at Richie's. Service was good. BBQ chicken was good, Tritip was dry, and ribs I did not touch. My son's grilled chicken was dry. The hamburger was okay. I prefer the breakfast here. It was busy in the restaurant.

Saturday, 12-14-2024: Our son was visiting us today so we decided to eat at our favorite diner. Our server, Erica was very exuberant and hospitable. She took our orders right away. Hubby opted for a chicken fried steak, I only wanted chicken noodle soup, and our son wanted the sourdough burger. Everybody enjoyed the meal except for me. This was the worst chicken noodle soup I've ever tasted. The noodles were thick & starchy, the chicken meat looked like it came from a can, and the broth itself did not taste good. It did not taste fresh, which I mentioned to Erica. She told me they changed the recipe. They need to change it back because the soup used to be so tasty & fresh with shredded chicken & vegetables. She was kind enough to take it off the tab. Eh, I wasn't really very hungry. Thank you Erica! The diner was adorned in festive Christmas decor & done well. The interior is always clean & bright. I just won't order the chicken noodle soup the next time!

Can't go wrong with diner food! Other brunch places were way too packed this particular Saturday but Richie's was able to seat my large party right away. Our server was super darling and went above and beyond for us. Food was average diner food but they were really accommodating to our requests. Loved the aesthetic of the place as well.

    Amazing desserts!

The entire staff is super friendly as soon as you enter the room. It is truly a diner. Leaves Denny' in the dust. The menu has so many choices there has to be something you want. Leave room for dessert!

George had top notch costumer service!
    Maggie F.

It was my birthday and our anniversary - so the perfect cinnamon roll was the mission! A friend recommended this place , so we thought we'd give it a shot. George was out on the grill, paused what he was doing to welcome us and open the door. Once he found out it was our first time he briefly have us a rundown of what to expect. His customer service was top-notch the whole time! We were not planning on getting any food, just pick up the dessert to-go. Well we ended up ordering some food to go as well. As we waited, George showed us some steaks he was cooking up as an example of what to expect next time we stay to dine. He THEN proceeded to give us two strawberry milkshakes ON THE HOUSE. I was literally I shock about how kind he was being to us. What's neat is he had and still has no idea what this weekend was for us! The place was super cute and fun on the inside. The whole staff was extremely kind, helpful and welcoming. We will 100% be back with the rest of our crew very soon!

Eggs Benedict with hash browns and coffee
    Leslie M.

Great coffee and a full menu. So hard to decide! A Belgian Waffle or Eggs Benedict? The Country Boy with biscuits and gravy or French Toast? Eggs Benedict for the win. How perfect were they? Eggs, poached just as they should be, the hollandaise was very good and the English muffins had the right amount of crisp. I order Eggs Benedict almost everywhere, and it's surprising how many times it gets messed up. But Richie's did a great job. Cute place, lots of booths, efficient and friendly service. We'll be back!

So the first thing that bothered me is there is a lot of people waiting outside so it's loud and when they call you to be seated they aren't loud enough so we missed our call after waiting a bit i checked in to find out! 2nd thing Food was not very warm felt like it was sitting a bit so some of our food was room temperature. Food tasted ok. But Portions and cuts were good. Then we went to eat at 630 which is peak dinner time they were already out of baked potatoes and pastrami and some other item. Their mashed potatoes tasted gritty like if they where box mashed potatoes which makes sense with them being out of potatoes. 3rd thing which is their "New Policy" That groups of 6 or more it has to be paid on one card and can Not be split in multiple payments not even split cash and card! So that to me makes absolutely no sense and there are no signs stating this anywhere nor on their site. So overall this place is ok and not really worth what we paid. Definitely won't be back and wouldn't recommend this place to friends.

One of my favorite foods is a Monte Cristo sandwich. I've been eating them since I was a kid, and it's difficult to find a place that does it well. Penfold's makes a great one, so that's almost always what I order when I'm here. Turkey and ham, plus American and Swiss cheese, which is made into a sandwich that is battered and fried. Traditional toppings are sour cream and jam, preferably raspberry or blackberry. So don't eat this unless you're a savory/sweet combo person! Worth the $1.50 to get the sour cream. I love that they have a sweet potato fry or onion ring upgrade for $1.00. I always choose sweet potato for the Monte Cristo, it's the best option. But I'll have to try the onion rings some time. There are tons of breakfast and lunch options, since they're only open til 2:00 everyday. They are also known for their bakery. Cinnamon or pecan rolls that are the size of a dinner plate! You have to slice them like a loaf of bread, lol. Also available are cookies, croissants, etc. Everything I've tried has been delicious. Staff is friendly and efficient, event when they're busy. My recent visit was at noon on a Wednesday, and I was all done in under 45 minutes! And the restaurant was pretty full, since it's only the one large room. Decor is fun, in the old-timey "why did grandma collect all this stuff?" motif, lol. Comfy booths around the perimeter with tables inside and a counter back left. And parking is fairly easy in the small shopping center, but you may have to park a little ways away if they're particularly busy.

When arriving it looked like one of those good ol' cafes that have been around for a while and loved by the locals. When walking in it's filled with nostalgia, classic toys lining the ceiling and classic booths and tables. This reminded me of a restaurant called Millie's Country Kitchen that was pretty popular when growing up. We showed up at a good time, the place was just filling up and we were greeted and seated immediately. Our server took care of us, she was attentive took our orders and brought our food out with no issues. The portion sizes here are HUGE. The food was ok. I was not impressed with my pancakes, maybe the batter was not my favorite I am not sure. Maybe I should have ordered something different but overall I enjoyed my visit here. I've been spoiled in my hometown with the local diners and amazing breakfasts so maybe I'd be a difficult person to please in this category. *breakfast snob* However nobody at our table had complaints about the food and we enjoyed our outing. Would come back if in the area to try it once more. The three stars is for the food, but everything else would have been 5.

I read another review about the ube waffle and I have to agree with them. I was expecting more ube flavor. It was decorated pretty with the flowers but the flavor just wasn't there. Out of everything I ordered the blue velvet pancakes were my favorite. They were soft and fluffy. The cinnamon roll pancake was for my husband. I did like that they like you order pancakes à la carte so you don't have to do full orders of everything and get to try everything. Crème brûlée French toast was ok too. To be fair I'm not sure if it's because we had to take it to go. With that said when taking to go, the pancakes were still good. Waffle not so much but to me it also lacked that one flavor. My husband ordered a margarita and our waitress recommended peach and she was right. Peach margarita tasted yummy as I took a sip to try it.
