I understand everyone has bad days, but basic courtesy and professionalism are part of working in customer service. A friendly greeting, eye contact, and acknowledging a customer's thanks are the bare minimum, especially for someone spending $75 on an order. Panera should do a better job training employees on customer service or be more selective in who they hire for customer-facing positions. Experiences like this make customers feel unwelcome and less likely to return.
