The waitress was very nice but the food took about 45 minutes because they forgot to put my 7 yr old sons food to cook. I rarely ever leave reviews, but I feel it's necessary to draw attention to the poor operations and cleanliness at this establishment. The issues here have been consistent ongoing mismanagement, frequent shortages of meals or ingredients, and overall decline in food quality. While some of the staff are friendly, it's clear they are not properly trained and are constantly put in the position of delivering bad news because things are never running smoothly. At this point, I'm not sure I even want to eat at Denny's anymore, because this problem seems to happen no matter which location I visit. It's becoming a pattern of mismanagement that needs to be addressed. If this isn't corrected soon, I'm close to contacting the health department. Someone needs to go undercover at this location because I'm certain this isn't the company standard they want to be known for. This place is something else. It's 11:30pm the Restaurant was empty. When we were walking up to the restaurant one waitress was sitting at a booth and one was standing talking to another employee from the kitche. As we walk in they all move to the kitchen and one tells us to have a seat. We waiting over 10 minutes and nothing not one person came out of the kitche to take our drink order. Another couple walked in and sat themselves and waited also. After about 20 mins we got up and walked towards the door to leave and the waitress looks at us from the kitchen and says have a good day and leans back over into the counter.i love Dennys but I'll stop eating there now. read more

While waiting to be seated the hostess invited folks behind us to be seated, they were kind enough to tell us to follow her. Our waitress must have been having a bad day because she was less than friendly. We placed our order however 2 tables seated after us received their food first. I would say this is one of the better Denny's locations in the area. Our service was great and the food was delicious. The locations in West Mifflin always take a long time and food isn't fresh. I had the spicy chicken skillet and it was the best one I ever had at a Denny's (photo attached). I was with children so I really appreciate the prompt service as they can get fidgety and restless. Denny's also emails you 20% off coupon which make it extra affordable for visiting their restaurants. This location gave me more faith in the chain as I began to not like it. At least our waitress was friendly as the heavy set man taking the checks at the register and your payment wasn't very customer oriented it seemed. Either way, we had a pleasant lunch. read more

Good Location and it was pretty busy on a rainy weekend afternoon. The waitress was wonderful and took our orders promptly. It did take a while for the food to come out, but all of it was fresh and excellent. Good Pancakes (Multiple Kinds), the Grand Slamwich had crispy bread, and the other meals were all delicious and eggs were all prepared to order. Plenty of food and everyone left full. Better than the last time I was here with my son...so I can raise it up one star to 4. My daughter and I had a pick your slam with some extras. My ex had a bourbon bacon burger. Drinks served quickly, and the food not long after. Everything was fine. The server checked in on us a couple times, refreshing coffees as needed. The food was hot and served correct. I entered Denny's, only to be shown a seat at a filthy table....coffee stains and crumbs from something that once was breaded. After recievimg my order, which was prepared just how I had requested.....I dug in, and Everything was minuscule in scale and the bacon... which was criminally thin...around two millimeters and translucent...and over done too cooked to attempt to raise off plate with my fork. Watched an employee go into a bathroom stall and leave without washing her hands. Told the waitress (who was wonderful - her name was Starr, I believe). When I went to check out, the woman who didn't wash her hands checked me out. She said in a nasty tone "I was on my phone in the bathroom, not USING it, so I didn't need to wash my hands." One of the worst experiences I have ever had at any restaurant. We came in for a hot breakfast. After waiting 50+ minutes, thinking at least the food would be fresh, we received 4 plates of cold food. A couple of items were scolding hot. I cut into my eggs and they were entirely raw. I cannot fathom how the outside of eggs can be cooked and the insides were raw. I have to imagine their stovetops/ovens are at improper temperatures. Definitely not up to food safety standards. We requested to talk to a manager to see what he could do and he came out flustered and seemed like he didn't have time to talk. He had no interest in hearing about it. We had the worst dining experience at Denny's in North Versailles. We allowed plenty of time for eating and attending a nearby movie. We had a nice waitress, even though she did not once come to refill beverages or to tell us there was going to be a delay in receiving our food. We waited 45 minutes, and I then asked to see a manager. When I told her we had been there 45 minutes, she said "what can I do? I'm pushing my cooks to get out the orders." I told her we hadn't ordered anything that should be difficult to prepare, and mentioned what we had ordered. Upon hearing we had ordered a veggie burger, she said "Oh, that's the problem. The first one fell apart so we need to make another." I told her I didn't care if it were in pieces, just please get the food to us quickly. My daughter waited 10 more minutes, and approached the manager and asked that we have the food to go. The kitchen was in total disarray (we were seated where we could see, and hear what was happening). We finally did get our food, with an apology from the waitress who told us one of the cooks had walked out, leaving them with one cook. When we had arrived at the restaurant an hour earlier, there were few people dining, but by the time we finally got out of there, nearly every table was full (devoid of food). We took our order to go, as requested, and ate in the movie parking lot - the food was okay, although two dinners of the three were cold. Actually the only warm dinner was the veggie burger!
