At 6:30 am today I pulled in because I have always had a good breakfast at Denny's . The first thing I noticed on the door was a simple declaration that this was franchise of Denny's. I waited to be seated...for 5 minutes...a young man mopping the floor at 6:30 am- a task better done at 3 am, looked up from his mop and just kept mopping. Waited another three minutes and began to notice that unmistakable acrid smell of cooking oil needing a change. I walked out. Not good signs. Went to a local place, Annie"s across the street. Better choice. The franchise operator at Denny's needs to manage his place more effectively. read more

I love this location. The store is always clean. The manager, Robert, is always so kind and makes sure to take care of you. OV has limited breakfast choices. I know Denny's serves every meal all day and night, but I generally eat breakfast here, sometimes a burger if I'm in a mood. The portions are big enough to share, which is nice. The staff is friendly enough and the prices, if a meal is split, are generally fair. The main reason me and the family come here is the consistency. The Lumberjack Slam I get today will be the one I get tomorrow and the next day. I always visit this location even though it's further from the one closest to my house on citrus heights, the service here is way better. I try to make it on days that shoot I totally forgot her name but if you're a regular you know who I'm talking about, she's a super nice and super talkative waitress, plus she like all things nerdy so we always have a fun chat when she's here, anyway I recommend coming to this Denny's location over citrus heights any day. read more

This is what I would call the ideal denny's! It sets a shining example of what a great diner should be, at least for a late breakfast. I showed up around noon and was seated immediately by staff. The waitress, Chanae, was prompt, friendly, helpful, and most importantly fast. The food came out quick, deliciously hot, and with generous portions with always the freshest ingredients, like delicious berries and juicy tomatoes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the music is great and at the perfect background volume. Everything about this location makes it my go-to place for breakfast and lunches. read more

Today I went to go eat with my son the waitress was nice our food was good and came within a reasonable time. Towards the end I had to get up to the front to pay since my check wasn't brought to me or asked if I needed or wanted anything else. So after I paid with my card the waitress left to attend other customers then came back and said you were fast. I then told her oh which one was my receipt and she grabbed her receipt looked at it and crumpled it up in my face saying thank you with a fake smile. I did leave 18% tip not cash but on the card since I never carry cash. So I walked away feeling confused did I do something wrong? I usually come to eat here with my kids since this Denny's is close to my house but after today I don't think I will come back to eat here with my kids anymore. read more

Before shopping stopped here with a roommate. Both order burgers and seasoned fries. Also a ordered a aptizer of cheese sticks. Our cheese sticks come out same time as our food. Does Dennys know what a aptizer is? Like something to eat before your meal arrives. The amount of over cooked seasoned fries that came with our burgers was less then a small fry order at any fast food chain. Then I ask for a refill of Dr pepper and they are out. How the heck do you run out of Dr pepper when your slow. The waitresses were cute and friendly was about the only thing good. They need to check their oil every shift...the oil is rancid, basically old and needs to be changed! Your cook should know this and should have smelled it when the oil hit the grill. They should train employees to check the oil so food is not wasted. read more

I ordered DoorDash tonight from this Denny's. We ordered a total of four items, including a side of onion rings and a chocolate lava cake. The dasher dropped it off and we checked the bag to find that there was indeed ice cream in a cup meant to be served with the lava cake.... but no cake! Great! Not only that, but the side of onion rings was literally like 4 onion rings and a few small crust pieces (wtf? $5 for a few onion rings??). On our receipt there was something scribbled next to where the lava cake was listed, but it was illegible. Weird.. ok. So we called up doordash and they were helpful and offered to have the two items delivered again. After about another hour we finally got the new order of onion rings and lava cake.. only to be pretty disappointed again. The new order of onion rings was great! It had a more acceptable amount than before. But the new lava cake... oh god. It was literally like a small ass easy bake oven chocolate cake (no molten chocolate sauce on the inside or outside!). I've had this dessert before at other Denny's and love it so much. It's usually a huge serving filled with rich chocolate. But this? It was easily the size of my fist (or smaller) and was dry and well, sad. It got me thinking, maybe they were just out of their lava cakes? Okay that's fine, but why not just call me up and tell me?? I would've been super understanding if that were the case. But apparently it wasn't. Anyways, my boyfriend's meal was decent, he had no complaints, thankfully. read more
