We had the pleasure of eating here this evening after a long day that the theme parks. We didn't expect much, as dennys are usually sub-par quick eats but from the moment we walked in we were greeted and sat. Immediately our AMAZING waiter Lewis came and grabbed our drinks and was beyond kind. We felt like we were in a 5-star establishment! The food was fantastic and I will never go to any other restaurant when we're in the area! We're locals so we are around a lot. I highly recommend you ask for Lewis. He is great! read more

With so many badly yelp rated Dennys in this area, i chose to gamble with this location for breakfast. * Fresh, clean and tasty Veg eggwhite omelette came quick. * As ordered without cheese - came without cheese. * As ordered toast without butter - came without butter. * My request for brown sugar with coffee was fulfilled. Our family of 4 came into a mostly empty Denny . Despite the large number of servers and cooks it's been over an hour to get our food. It took approx 15 minutes to get our waters, and 35 minutes before our waiter brought our coffee. Daughter was crying from stomach pains and we were planning on getting to Disney world early... ironically we will no doubtlessly be late. There is nothing really to do except write this review on iNotes and transfer to Yelp later as Their guest internet sucks and has a horribly slow connection. Sadly I agreed to the terms and conditions without reading the fine print... apparently they own my soul. I can't comment on the food as it has not yet arrived. The lady in the booth next to me is now begging and pleading with employees to give her the food. I see the employees now snickering and doing what they can to sabotage her order... as kind of a pay-back for her behavior... It's now been 1.5 hours and our complimentary water has ran out. We are rationing salt packets and the last bit of ice is about to melt... we will soon be out of water... feeling very dehydrated... pray for our souls. It seems like forever since we've been stuck in this twilight zone. Some more customers entered the store but are unawares of what they are about to experience. They seem happy and in good spirits... The dennys itself really isn't all that bad. The service needs some help. Mariana was our waitress today. She was very bossy , and really liked to argue about everything. Like seriously if you make a mistake ie forget something own it, don't blame it on something else that was happening at the moment. She asks how many boxes we would like, then walks away without waiting for us to answer. Then brings back 2 boxes and we say can we please have a few more! I think this is a relatively poorly run Denny's from a management perspective. I have frequented a lot of Denny's and this is one of the worst I've ever been to. In fact I've avoided the place for several months at a time due to issues. It just happens to be so dang close to me I eventually end up going back. -This is a franchise location, and the prices are moderately higher here than at corporate and most other locations. Expect to pay roughly 50 cents per entree more here. -The servers have been hit and miss. We've had some perfectly good servers, and we've had some really bad ones. -The cooks are hit and miss. Sometimes the food comes out fantastic as it should, but it's not uncommon for food mistakes or quality issues at this location. Again, obviously they have more than one cook so I think their are some cooks doing their job, and others who are sub-par. -Many months ago my girlfriend had such a bad experience she complained to corporate. I can't remember what the issue was as it was so long ago, but that is the only time either of us have ever complained to Denny's corporate. In their defense both corporate and the franchisee (unsure who issued it) gave us some great gift cards/discounts so they did more than make up for that issue, but issues have been commonplace at this particular location. -An occasional mistake can slip through any business, but as frequency of issues increase, you need to go higher in the management chain to find the source of the problem. I'd assume fault likely lies with the store manager and/or the franchisee. I am not familiar with this franchisee's two other local locations so I can't say for sure who is the most probable cause of issue. Denny's provides a cheap sit-down restaurant experience for people who don't make much money. I want to see them succeed. read more

Not my favorite breakfast chain, but it is decent enough. What I like is that they serve pure hot maple syrup - the real stuff! The pancakes are medium sized. Putting together your own Grand Slam breakfast of 4 items is a good deal. Unfortunately they do not offer granola to the yoghurt. :( The All American slam is good but the worst calorie bomb you can imagine!! The service is what you can ask for. Nothing more nothing less. YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2017. 14/100 Wow.. I been to many different DENNYS in different states to cities and this by far got my five stars... Here in Orlando Florida... We were served by a very friendly gentlemen named Evan.. who looks like he was the manager if not he deserves to be the manager. He gave us excellent service and was very professional.. thumbs up.. To top it off.. our meal came out very delicious.. I always order a steak and other places steaks come out really bad looking like pork chops. Not this place. There steak and eggs came out great... Marianna needs some type of crash course on customer service. It's late at night, and there's an old man who asked for help because, he was older, and the busboy said he would help whenever he had paid and was ready to leave. Thats fine, and the old man asked for his check from his server, Marianna. She brings his check, and he tries to pay using a coupon and his card. She gets frustrated he's using a coupon and she crashes around the restaurant in quite obvious exasperation and annoyance. His payment is finally sorted out, and he tries apologizing to her for having a weird payment and she, in the most rude un customer service like manner, turns around and ignores him. We had noted the man asked for help getting to his car, so we informed our server, Phindile so that his need would not be forgotten about. She responded with "he can walk". Marianna then began cleaning around his table so the man, who was ready to go, asked Marianna for help and if she could get the busboy, and she said "he's on break" and quickly turned around and walked away from him. We quickly got up and offered our help and he began to cry. We did not even touch him, he simply wanted someone to spot him as he stepped up to his walker. Marianna then came over and began arguing with us that the busboy was on break and we simply told her to go back to what she was doing because her behavior was extremely upsetting. When we went out with him to help him get to his car, another older server with reddish, brown, gray hair walked up to my daughter and started talking bad about the man and how he "always asks for help". This is quite possibly the most infuriating experience and it was all at the expense of an old man. He explained to us that he is a regular customer and that he wants the server, who treated him so poorly in the first place, to know that he didn't want to make her angry and that he didn't ask for our help. He thought the very act of us helping him would make the staff angry, which is even more concerning. MARIANNA AND HER HORRIBLE BEHAVIOR NEEDS TO BE CHECKED. The only person who remotely showed kindness tonight was the busboy, who was willing to serve the customers and was consistently kind to every single table. FEEDBACK TO DENNY'S AS A COMPANY: hold a sensitivity seminar. The demographic of this restaurant is largely older folks and, though it may be frustrating as a server, respect is KEY in a customer service environment. read more

Orlando has many unsung hero's that tend to us, the public, when we visit Orlando to have fun. I am IT Project Manager who just finished working at 1am in the morning, hungry and irritated I went to Denny's at 11037 international drive, across from Seaworld. Jim the grave yard manager had 1 trainee & 1 cook, they managed to serve an 8 top, and half a dozen 2 tops and what seemed like and endless amount of to go orders. My point is, with all this happening, Jim never skipped a beat, paid attention to detail and satisfied everyone. The worst thing ever, is to order "to-go" food, only to discover something is missing, not on Jim's watch. I hope someone relays to this gentleman what a great job he did in my presence and that I will be back!! P. S. Not only was he great at the table, as we were leaving my daughter was playing the claw machines and wasn't having any luck so he stepped in and tried for himself with his own money.
