It will be worth it. We haven't been in a little while and there have been a few changes to the menu, but still delicious as always. We like to order the skillets but now they are called "hash" on the menu. Two eggs cooked the way you want over your protein or veggies of choice (only 2 selections now) and hash brown potatoes. I am not someone who usually eats at a chain restaurant when traveling but First Watch is a quality restaurant that certainly never disappoints for breakfast or brunch no matter where you are. This time I got it to go and wanted to shout out how thoughtful the staff was to ensure I had an enjoyable service with my food even though I was not present. I got the biscuit with turkey sausage gravy, which is already a bonus point because most places do not offer non-pork options for a dish like this. You can see with my photo that took the time to put the gravy in a separate container so it didn't get all messy and over the other food items of the meal (eggs and breakfast potatoes). I also ordered a side of buttered grits. It was a bigger side than I anticipated so I was able to get two breakfast meals out of this order! It's been a while since I've been to a First Watch restaurant. This restaurant chain never ceases to amaze me with their high quality and consistency. It's almost unfair to label it as just another chain restaurant the same way I would categorize Seasons 52 or McCormick & Schmick's. I tried their new Pineapple Express which was out of this world. They also have boozy brunch cocktails like mimosas for people who need an "eye opener" (you know who you are!). The SoCal Breakfast Hash is something incredible. Think of a breakfast skillet fajita hybrid. It was more than enough for 2 meals which is great for the road. If you've never tried First Watch you are missing out on something epic. They even sell their own cookbook next to the entrance in case you want to try to recreate their stellar menu. 5 stars all the way throughout including service and ambiance. read more

Being busy is not an excuse for completely ignoring guests. The front-of-house staff desperately needs retraining on acknowledging and greeting tables, even if the table isn't technically in their section. Basic hospitality was completely missing, and it made the whole experience frustrating and unwelcoming. We were left waiting over 15 minutes without even being greeted, despite multiple tables around us getting greeted, served, and even receiving their food in the time we sat there even though they got there AFTER us (table of two). There were three servers working in the area, and we still couldn't get so much as a hello or anyone to look at us so that we could wave them down. What's the point of being on the floor if you're not paying attention to your surroundings? Leads one to think they were purposefully ignoring since it simply wasn't their table it just wasn't their problem. We even tried to get the attention of two different food runners (or just other servers running food), but no one offered help even though it was obvious we hadn't been greeted, especially with the menus stacked in front of us with no drinks on the table. We were seated at a dirty table, but we stayed because it was a Sunday at noon and we understood they were busy. I've been to several First Watch locations in Central Florida. This is their newest location. It is located in the shopping plaza on Kirkman and I-Drive. The place was packed, as expected. The food and service were on par with other locations I've visited. I could tell that they were a bit short staffed. Our server (bless her heart) was super busy, running all over the place. But her service and attention was still top notch. This will be my favorite location from now on, since it is much closer to my residence. I had the super delicious Shrimp and Grits, which is a seasonal offering that I hope stays permanent. It is my favorite dish there. My Son had the Hacienda Hash and said it was superb. We also shared and order of Biscuits and Gravy (you gotta have this) and an order of Million Dollar Bacon (will probably not get the bacon again. It is good, but too expensive for 4 slices of bacon) We devoured everything. No leftovers. That's how good everything was. Sorry for just posting my review so late. We had a 45 minute wait time this past Sunday. This restaurant was really busy and rightfully so. The atmosphere was welcoming. The staff worked well together everyone was helping each other including Management. This is what I call a 5 star restaurant. We had an awesome server. Her name was Rachel she was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered The works Omelette and the Double Crunch Taco's. I must say the Double Crunch Taco looks better than what the menu picture shows and the taste is unbelievably delicious with lots of packed flavors. Every bite gets better and better. Seemed a little pricey. I'm not sure farm raised eggs taste any better the eggs in cage. At least we know what the caged chickens are eating. Anyway the omelette was delicious. Coffee was good. My coworker had a breakfast sandwich. He cleaned his plate. Nothing was left. There was lots of seating. It's quite a big place. It's a little loud and there's not a lot of privacy. Coming from Texas I had never been to a First Watch but saw there was several in the area. The menu had all the basics and everything sounded delicious. It's clear they work with local goods and have a lot of healthy options. We didn't quite go that route, but ordered the Biscuits and Turkey Sausage Gravy (extremely flavorful) and the Chickichanga. Both were delicious and super large portions for the price. We arrived slightly before 9 where there wasn't a crowd quite yet but showed up quickly after we were seated. The only reason for the lost star was that we waited about 10 minutes before we had to flag down a waiter to get started. Must've got lost in the mix, but it made the wait for food and additional service a little slower than expected. After a handful of encounters with poor service in Orlando, it was nice to come in to First Watch earlier today and be greeted by a kind staff. Ambiance was cute, light as hell with a cafeteria style feel. Our order was taken by Randell and there were two food items ordered -- out of which one came out as the wrong order (she wanted BLT Benedict, got ham classic one, human error things). The woman who ran the food was kind and took the dish to replace it, I was disappointed to see the way that it was handled by management. I was done with my food by the time hers came out, and Randall came by and asked if the food is "better now" after she'd received the correct dish. There was no accountability taken by management on the actual experience. People come in to spend quality time with one another and just need to hear that there was a fuck up and this is how we're gonna make it alright to create a better experience. In an instance like this, a kind gesture goes a long way. I don't even think this is on our server as much as it is on management to care to be involved on and help resolve. It's in the training. These moments can be a make or break for people on whether or not they'd want to return to an establishment-- please normalize accountability and conflict resolution communication training. It's an art craft that's often overlooked in service. read more

Our 1st time at any First Watch. We showed up Sunday morning after checking out of our hotel at 10am. The wait stated was about 45 mins. They had a nice size covered waiting area outside. They seemed to run a tight ship and the front of house seemed to work together as a team to keep everything going (3 people working it). We were seated within the 45 mins. Unfortunately, it was in a high traffic area - a 2 top by the front door, outside on the patio. There were people going in/out constantly. Our waitress had to ask the people at the table next to us to move to the waiting area as people were going to be seated at that table. She did a great job, was very polite and respectful. But I state this to point out this dining area becomes part of the waiting area when it is overfull. Additionally, there was a lot of trash in the bushes we were seated by (like silverware wrappers, etc). Our waitress was great. Our food was definitely something I would order again. And I saw many other dishes on the menu that I would like to try in the future. We will definitely try First Watch again but I will ask for better seating as that location was definitely a negative to our experience. read more

They always have season specials so I tried the brisket thinking it would be a high level corned beef hash. It was dry and I sent it back. Ended up getting the works omelette and it was delicious and stuffed with cheese, bacon, ham, mushrooms and tomato. My dad had the traditional breakfast with ham and the ham was delicious. We also had pancakes. I loved the plain and my mom loved the blue berry. Pancakes were huge and made fresh and tasted delicious. My mom loved the chicken sausage patties, but I was not a fan. They also have new cocktails including an iced coffee one with oat milk. The blood Mary looked great, but I tried the tequila sunrise and it was delicious.
