Visited this week..see my receipt. This Denny's is located in Oroville. First of all I kept an open mind even though they have had numerous bad reviews. JESSIE was our waitress and she did an amazing job! She was by herself for breakfast and yet got all the orders in quickly and with a warm and friendly attitude! Now for the food. I split the breakfast that had scrambled eggs with hash browns and bacon with an English muffin. The hash browns were good (not greasy) but the bacon looked and tasted old. Eggs were just ok. Nothing special. The place inside is a bit worn and the bathroom was not clean. I wanted to give it more stars because Jessie was amazing but the food did not taste fresh. Unfortunately I won't be back. I hope they can clean up the kitchen area with fresher food and hire more help! read more

New to Oroville and decided to try this location. Went in on a Friday night. There were only 3 customers in the restaurant. The waitress spent the entire time talking to one customer about all the food they didn't have. We ordered salads with our meal and she didn't bring them until after we had received our entrees. Half of the lettuce we couldn't eat. When we got up to leave the waitress then asked how our food was. We will never go here again. One less place to eat at in Oroville. read more

Denny's is a great place to go if you're an AARP member, you get 15% off your total bill. The food is comparable to any other restaurant in town and the staff is very hospitable helpful and kind. I would recommend it, It's quiet they have acoustics on the ceiling so you can hold a conversation with your friends...not like the SUPER NOISY WAFFLE SHOP!!! read more

Ordered a kids build your own breakfast.. soggy bacon, hashbrowns so salty you can't eat and I Loveeeeeeeeee salt so that's saying something. Pancakes were also soggy with no chocolate chips I paid extra for. I also ordered a dessert and a oreo shake which they were bith out of so settled for chocolate shake a brownie ice-cream sundae. When delivered sundae is all tipped over spilled and the chocolate shake was like foam. Overall gross. read more

I would've left a zero star review if I could. Party of 8 with 4 kids. Seated for 20 mins and no one there to take our orders and drinks. A white family came in ten minutes after us and had their orders taken before us. Of course we walked out after that. And no I would not like to return here. I should've Known better than to show up at this Dennys. And I would like to add. Thanks for handing the kids their kids menu and not giving them any crayons. I went to Denny's for my boyfriend's birthday. The host was very polite and helpful, got seated fairly quickly. Took about 10-15 mins to get our food. I ordered the All-American Slam. Ordered my egg fried, got it undercooked. They brought out everything except my toast. Waited 15 mins, had to ask for it because she forgot. My boyfriend ordered Moons Over My Hammy and the cheese wasn't melted. Both of our hash browns were undercooked. One of the waitresses, Deanne, handed one of her tables their drinks over handed. Her hands were touching the rim where you put your mouth to drink. Overall not coming to the Denny's in Oroville again. :) read more

The poor servers here need help they are so understaffed and need more help! They have always done so much to try to do there best for us when we come but only ever the issues that we have had there have been becyof low or no staff and not enough supplies. Management needs more staff,whatever they need to do to get it. These hard working people there will burn out and you'll be left with nothing. I give four stars because the attitude of the staff and the food has been good overall they have done the best with what they can! There have been a few things like the cook had a family emergency and they had to close down the entire restaurant because they had one server and no other person to cook. There is always only minimal staff so I expos won't change until there are changes made. read more

From what looked to be the manager was serving, might be down a server? He was an amazing server, punctual, happy positive attitude and vibed. Food was AMAZING. Much better than what i remember last time i ate Denny's. Great atmosphere, tables were spotless bathroom was spotless. 10/10 read more

So after running errands and doing laundry I was exhausted and hungry but was craving red meat since I don't get it very much. From the laundry Matt phone I placed an order to dennys for the t-bone steak dinner they were out of potatoes out of the sides to go with it so eventually I aged tp double broccoli and was told my order was 22$ and some change and would be ready at at 1045. I arrive at dennys and I sit up front cus I'm early I'm listening to the poor server explain to the gut at t he counter what all there out of and the list went on and on and on so jokingly I said shame on the manager and shame on her boss for not putting someone in that can do the job or stopping what their doing to train someone to do it properly the server just looked at me I said I know Hon it's not your fault but why are you guys even open it sounds like all u have is tbone and coffee and water and I laughed out loud a Lil. I told her I managed a restraint for a while and there's no reason for it. And she the "manger" should be the one explaining to these customers why they can't serve food. And than she laughed out loud a Lil. Well after a few moments pass she says oh wait your the to go tbone and I replied yeah and she said oh by the way we're out of em I was like what did u just say because by now my mouth is savoring for this red meat. And I'm soooooooooo hungry. And i just stood up she mentioned a different type of meat but I had ordered 45 mins prior and my side choice was brocoli so I was not happy they didn't offer anything for my Hassel didn't try to win me over nothing I won't be going back super dissapointed cus it was a usual spot !!!!!! read more

I also ordered the crazy spicy sizzling skillet and it was drenched in oil and the meat was so disgusting that my dog wouldn't eat my leftovers. The meat wasn't chorizo either. The only thing I could stomach eating of this was the chicken breast on top, which was only half a chicken breast, the menu says it's a full chicken breast so false advertising. read more

Food took a long time- waitress said it was her second day ( she was trying hard). Out of everything so they told us they were giving substitutions- then they charges us extra for them?? Food was wrong, sometimes on a different persons plate-?- our company made it fun but I would not recommend. Waitress was trying hard but she was not trained. read more

A year ago we gave this Denny's a 1 star review. It is a pleasure to revise that review. We went in for breakfast this morning, we were seated immediately. I am GF and vegetarian- which can be challenging for restaurants. I ordered a 2 egg omelette (3 is their norm), with Spinach, Mushrooms and Caramelized Onions. No cheese No toast and Crispy Hash Browns. It was perfect. Light & delicious - nothing like my previous experiences. My husband 2 Eggs sunny side up with Bacon. & Hash Browns were also excellent. Our drinks were brought immediately. The food was served hot & delicious. We sent a tip back to the kitchen because it was so good as well as a tip to our server, who turned out to be the manager. We shared how surprised and delighted we were with the whole experience & it turns out he took over since our last visit. He and the kitchen have really turned this Denny's around. I was going into the hospital to get a Hysterectomy on Thursday and I just wanted one good meal before I went in, because I knew the hospital food wasn't going to be great. Well, I didn't get a good meal before I had my Hysterectomy but the hospital food was actually better than The Denny's in Oroville. Went this morning to eat got seated waited 15 minutes for someone to take my order there was maybe 8 tables seated. I waited and waited. Nobody took my drink order. I left. If you don't want black folks in ur restaurants put a sign in your window that says WHITES ONLY. I won't be offended. I just won't waste my time. Im sick of this racist town. I went to BURGER KING instead. They only had 2 people working i got my food in less time I waited in Denny's for someone to take my drink order. read more

I should have checked the reviews before going in! 3 tables with people at 1 pm on a Sunday, a group leaving said they had waited too long for no service. Seated pretty quickly by the waiter apologizing to the group leaving, he said he would bring coffee and take my order. 10 minutes later someone asked if I needed anything to drink. He took my order and said he would bring me coffee. 15 minutes later someone else asked if I wanted anything to drink, promised coffee. 30 minutes was my breaking point. No food, no coffee, no sense hanging around. Management issue. Plenty of people wandering around, but still no service. This place has a history of poor performance. Shut it down already! read more

This place sucks. It took the waitress 30 minutes to wait my girlfriend and I, keep in mind, restaurant wasn't full or busy. The waitress was waiting other people who had come in after us, disregarding the fact my girlfriend and I had been waiting. She would pass us, and at one point told us she would be rogue with us, however, when she came back out from the kitchen, she waited two gentlemen that came in after us. I keep trying to go back to this Denny's. I ended up getting a free breakfast for my birthday so I went there today. It took 45 minutes to get my grand slam. I was told they needed to make the takeout orders before they can get to me there was literally three other customers in the whole place, my wife, who went with me has an hour for lunch by the time we got out of Denny's and left she was already 15 minutes late for work. The place is not clean they let homeless hang out front that are panhandling as you leave they come in and use the bathroom not a good experience. Saddest Denny's place ever. Me and my boyfriend came there just to try it despite the negative reviews and we did not enjoy it at all. Place was super dead and made us both depressed the whole time eating there. There was no TV or music on. Pure silence. The kitchen is out in the open, we can hear everything. My boyfriend ordered the T-Bone steak (medium rare) along with mashed potatoes and the meat was cooked well-done and the mashed potatoes portion was the size of one ice cream scoop. Took about 30-35 mins for our food to come out and there was literally no one besides a small family. Just end this place's misery and replace it with something else. read more

This might be the WORST Denny's in all the land. The food is fine. That's not the issue. The SERVICE is AWFUL!!! Tables go hours without being cleared. I watched a waitress touch her hair, face, wipe her nose, pick up stuff off the floor and immediately touch food. Gross! The kitchen staff is beyond slow. Like turtles in peanut butter on a cold day. They are awful back there. Waitresses constantly asking for food to be remade-sometimes several times. It's just wreck.
