My daughter went here today with her dad to grab two breakfasts to go for all of us to share as a morning treat. It was SO good! We all had enough with only two orders and toppings. They said the service was EXTRA, above and beyond helpful and friendly. They said the place was spotless and the wait was very short. The price for the two breakfasts to go (pancakes w additional, added toppings) was approximately $30 which is a steal bc it was a lot of very delicious food! What a fantastic experience!! With 2 other places place around them to eat,I sure am glad we chose the Waffle Shop!! Clean, family-feel, quantity and quality all wrapped into one place.Our busboy was above and beyond. Not to mention a cutie. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Little breakfast diners always hit the spot and best places to go. This place is a small town, everyone knows everyone place, very friendly. Food is average price now a days. Portion size is perfect. I love hot biscuits & gravy. There was a mistake with my food. The waitress was quick to have it corrected. I'm not sure if she entered it incorrectly Or the cook misread it, but the cook was not happy. Our waitress said something to him and as he was walking back to the kitchen, he kicked the swinging door, HARD! We were sitting right across from it so it was very loud. Ive been into waffle shop four times now and each visit has not left me disappointed. Im always greeted with a smile when walking in. The service is good and the servers are friendly and make you feel at home. The bar (its the only place ive sat) is always kept clean and amenities available. The food is delicious. The waffles are especially yummy. Id eat here everyday if I could. I have been a recluse for a long time and this restaurant is helping me to come out of my shell and making it more comfortable for me getting out and being around people. Although their signage at the restaurant is faded they seem to do a steady business. Always see my receipt! I have never been here but wanted to give it a try. They have seating at the counter and also booths. I ordered a breakfast with one egg..2 strips of bacon..hash browns and English muffin for 10 dollars. The egg and hash browns were ok but i asked for my bacon to be extra crispy and it wasn't what i had requested (not cooked very well). My friend ordered a bacon and cheese omelet with country potatoes and biscuits and gravy and he enjoyed the entire meal! . This was a better option at 10 dollars. I can see this is a local hotspot and offers a senior menu with budget friendly prices. LOL..we ordered off the "senior menu" not knowing what it was but they honored it anyway! They also have takeout orders. This would be great for travelers due to the proximity of the freeway. The waitresses are friendly and our server was cordial (ANNE). I grabbed a booth in her section and had a chorizo omelette with country potatoes and sourdough toast, and a couple of cups coffee did me just right. Best Waffle I've had since I was a kid. Service is fast and friendly. Interior is a little dated but the food speaks for itself. They don't use pancake batter for their Waffles. Back in town for a short bit and thought I must visit the waffle shop, it's been a while and the menu changed, some of my previously mentioned favorites are no longer available- pork chop, but I've tried new items and I am here to share my thoughts: On the same and must, their waffles, with extra whip cream and side of fruit - a must have. The house special burger - very delicious, would come back for it. Flavorful with a little kick, with side of fires. yum!! And a new item to me, their skillet, I got their linguica, the portions are out of this world, such a big bang for your buck ($15). I would highly recommend for anyone whose extra hungry. I couldn't finish it but really enjoyed what I could. 3 and half star. Just left there very disappointed husband got his breakfast and the lady next to us got hers waitress said mine and the gentleman next to us would be coming out right now...he got his and I sat there watching everyone eat. When hubby was finished she started to bring mine. I declined the food as I now needed to go get ready for work. Waitress blamed the cooks and didn't seem happy with me when I told her to forget it I am not paying for something I was not given timely. Pretty damn good waffle, legit mom and pop grease shack operation. Staff is friendly, lots of regulars coming in, relaxed environment. You pay for what you get, unfortunately $20 doesn't get you much these days. For example, all of the waffle toppings are canned except for the strawberries and blueberries. I'm sure the strawberries and blueberries are local, but strawberries and blueberries are known for containing lots of pesticides, likely more pesticides than any other fruit by weight. You know when you bite into a blueberry and you get that same kind of dustiness on the skin that you also get from green beans, those are pesticides read more

This place is my new favorite diner in Oroville! They have a great menu rife with options, good portions, and excellent customer service!! They're navigating the pandemic and wildfire crisis with panache. I was very impressed with them when I dined here about a week after the north complex fire destroyed half the area. The smoke was so thick you could cut it with a knife. They had giant fans keeping the air circulating and their man-trap door system really helped keep the smoke down. We were seated nearly immediately and had coffee in front of us before we even knew what we wanted to eat. There was a steady stream of people behind us who were greeted and seated quickly. Some were displaced by the fires and they were all treated with respect by the staff. My husband had the corned beef hash which was great (I snagged a sample). I had the two egg breakfast with a pancake on the side. I couldn't finish my plate because the portions were so large. I'm definitely coming back!! read more
