Went for lunch at Denny's. After being seated we waited 20 or more to take our order. Drinks were delivered immediately. Close to 30 minutes later, our food finally came and it was cold. Which was hard to rectify because the waitress put the food down and took off and never saw her again ever. We had to go to the till to get our bill. Horrible service. Horrible food since it was cold, what did we pay for? Terrible time frame for French toast and eggs and hash browns. We highly recommend you avoid this crappy service. It used to be good about 10 years ago. But now it's hours are all over the place, service is not good; food not good, experience not good. read more

Dennys is always good for breakfast and I stopped here on my way out of town. I ordered French toast with sausage and eggs. On the eggs I made a tactical error. I ordered them over easy with is my usual because I like to dip stuff I the yolk but not french toast. French toast get syrup. But really I just wanted the French toast and sausage, so the eggs were not really required. It was all good. They were fast on coffee refill too. Which is good as coffee is vital but frequent refill throw off the coffee to cream ratio and I don't know how to deal with it. While I was eating I hear some ask about birthday deals. As it so happens, it was also my birthday so I got 10 bucks off. read more

Came with a larger group on a Tuesday afternoon it wasn't to busy but very helpful friendly staff quick to take our orders and delicious food we all got different meals and all came out at once to the table. They also had high chairs for my son and lots of room for groups. Easy to find and lots of parking and out door seating. Will definitely come back when we pass thru. read more

Manager of this establishment is laughable. We ordered take out this morning and only received part of our order. The rest of the order was wrong. When we reached out to ask what had happened, the lady started to shout into the phone about how "we had ordered this food". I stated I thought it might have been mixed up. Was met with rude condescending tones and remarks. Apparently we are people who eat gravy on fruit ? Unprofessional, ignorant, and unreasonable. We ordered for two people. Paid over 50.00 dollars for a meal for one person and was told too bad. I guess as customers we don't know what we order and apparently one meal feeds two people. This manager is an embarrassment to Denny's. Used to be such a great place, with great staff. Will never order or eat here again. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! Can't stress it enough; service was horrible, the staff were yelling at each other across the restaurant and flipping each other off in front of my children. Something was incorrect with every one of our orders- server even tried to explain that "whole grain" toast has "almost no gluten" after she gave it to a celiac in our group instead of the gluten free English muffin they had actually ordered. We also received 0 refills on our drinks, coffee was old, our food burnt, appetizers came in at the same time as our mains, no quality checks after the food came, ants on the table, fruit flies enjoyed our fruit cup more than we did, and server argued about the sides we ordered and tried to charge us extra for condiments that were already included in menu. I have never been so appalled over service, food quality, cleanliness of our table, and especially the managers lack of concern or surprise at our treatment. For your own sanity and digestive well-being please avoid this place at all costs. read more

Not much to say other than three strikes and your out. Pretty rough service all times albeit friendly. Order was brought out wrong twice and once quite poorly. No sorry sat all just "are you sure you ordered it that way?" Yup sure am since I'm a picky brekkie guy ;). At any rate like most they have that ability to satisfy that greasy need at any time. I think we mostly expect what we get but the service is my big turn off even more so than the wrong order mix ups. Things happen. This Denny's beats the c*** out of the ones in Calgary. Fast friendly service, and the food was actually quite decent. I'm not really going to review too extensively as Denny's as a whole are usually pretty generic, but when they have a cook who knows how to well, cook, it's an awesome combination. It took over 30 minutes before someone brought us coffee and took our order. This was caused by miscommunication between staff and management. When we did get service it was good service and the food was good. My overall recommendation would be if you want to go do it but don't go out of your way to come here. read more

This is probably the worst place in the world. I used to love coming here but in the last month I have had one waitress who was clearly cracked out. And the other was basically running us out of the place because people were waiting to get in. The food was mediocre and the service was just plain awful. Walked in at 12 noon by myself on a Sunday, and was seated at the counter at my request and had my order taken within two minutes. Had the prime rib eggs Benny, with a Bailey's and coffee. Order showed up less than five minutes later, and was done to perfection. Ashley, my server, was very quick, efficient and friendly. I have never had a bad meal at Denny's and that's saying something because I frequent this restaurant at numerous locations very often. Kudos to the staff as there was lots of verbal communication between the kitchen and waitstaff. Before the renovation, I would have given a 3 star. But they have definitely cleaned up, and their service has always been pleasent. There is lots of food options between breakfast, lunch and dinner, and also nice drink options (and SUPER yummy milk shakes!). Ive always had friendly waitresses, and if ever slow, they apologize for the delays. Plus it's a great place to go at 3am after a night out! read more

Honestly worst service I've ever revived at a restaurant our food was cold and I sent it back and it came back cold. When I dine in house, its usually pretty good, but I ordered take out of the turkey dinner today. MISTAKE. They must have taken all the garbage bits of the turkey, broken up, suspicious brown marks all over it, rind galore, not even close to tasty. Been here many times before had excellent service. think they must have new owners. waited 10 mins for drinks to arrive a coke and a coffee. food took over 40 mins. no service between drinks arriving and food arriving. asked guy who brought food (not initial wait person) for more coffee. COFFEE NEVER ARRIVED. husband finished his meal so i had to wait 20 mins to ask someone for a take out container for my supposed to be mushroom swiss burger which arrived with cheddar on it and no mayo or other toppings as described on menu. take out container was HUGE, could have put 4 burgers in it. said it was only size they carry but had seen other table leave mins before with normal size take out containers. They used to have good service at this location in red deer ab but last night was so bad I did not leave a tip and I always tip. We will not be back. read more

Eat here often with my family, we never have had a bad meal here, service leave something to be desired but all the bad wait staff are no where to be seen our next visit, so they must weed them out fairly quickly. Price is good and food is consistently good. read more
