I wanted a nice Sunday breakfast and stopped by Denny's around 9am. I got seated quickly and my orange juice came out right away, so it started off fine. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was frustrating. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelette and a stack of pancakes. The omelette took forever to arrive, and when it finally did, the meat had a weird chewy texture. The mushrooms and peppers also didn't seem fully cooked. The butter on the toast tasted synthetic and the hashbrowns were not cooked all the way through. Even worse, the pancakes never came out at all, but they still tried to charge me for them. I had to tell them to remove it from my receipt because I never got them. No one checked on me even once after I was seated, the staff felt pretty inattentive. Overall, I paid about $25 for mediocre food and service, and I left extremely disappointed. Also, for a place that's supposed to feel like a classic American diner, the atmosphere didn't match at all. The whole place felt chaotic and disconnected, with most of the staff and customers speaking Spanish or Mandarin. It didn't feel like the "American diner" experience Denny's is supposed to be. Make Denny's great again. Maybe I'll have better luck down the road at NORMS. read more

Their pancakes and scrambled eggs were pretty good, but the bacon was burnt and not crispy. They packaged it securely with a good-quality to-go box. Overall, it was about 3.5 stars. read more

Dennys, why not. Stopped in for a late breakfast and grabbed a seat at the counter. I was quickly greeted, by Graciela who provided me with coffee and a menu. I was surprised by her attention to detail when she was about to provide me with a coffee cup and saw it wasn't up to par. She took a look at the cup and immediately provided another one. Soon after I placed my order. I'm a French toast fan so I soon had my FT, eggs and bacon. Everything was great and the portions were more than adequate. Standing there waiting to get seated, that the Hulk kitchen area the top where they put the food there's like three or four trays that were just sitting there and the servers weren't paying attention to it when trying to take the food out at all whatsoever. And then we get seated I specifically told the waitress after we got our drinks when we ordered that I told her I wanted my toast toasted, not white! Our food was lukewarm was not hot it was just a bad experience all the way around she took forever to even fill up my coffee the cup of water that I had there was like residue at the very very bottom inside of the cup which is pretty disgusting. My husband and I went to Denny's for breakfast this morning. I ordered the 55+ omelette, which came with carmelized onions, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. I also got hash browns and wheat toast. My husband ordered a Super Slam, which came with two eggs, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage links, hash browns, and 2 pancakes. My omelette was really good. They sure didn't skimp on the onions. The only problem was the toast. It was only toasted on one side. Our server never checked on us until we were almost finished, so my husband mentioned the toast then. She offered to bring us more, but it was too late. What I really liked is that they leave a small carafe of coffee so you can just refill your cup yourself. Yeah how can you mess up breakfast! Well I've been to places where I've paid over 20 dollars for all entree and it sucked. Not here. I'm telling you consistency. This is my 4th time coming here on the weekend. It took me the 4th time coming here to write this. I normally don't write reviews for chains. They are consistent. Came here on an early afternoon and we had the place all to ourselves. I got the Mile High Denver Omelette which was delicious I loved the fresh peppers inside of it. I also substituted the toast for pancakes free of charge! Evening manager did see a name tag so I don't know his name.The waiters and waitresses need training not just tips. first the don't know how to sit and greet or see if everyone is ok. I had a long trip today and the moment I entered this place I requested for the restroom code from the "so called" manager. His immediate response was "it's only for paying customers". Mine was "I am eating here". He then proceeded to walk me to the restroom since he most likely did not want to give me the door lock code. So I went by my business and did a #1 and went on my intention to dine in. My server, an old lady is good. She politely did her duties and served me well which made me forget about the bad experience for the time being as I ate lunch. If I could give this place a no star I would just because of the manager. Based on record, I normally do not give reviews unless I had a super good or super bad experience.
