I was in the area and wanted to try the Chinese version of Fried Chicken. I ordered Fried Chicken Sandwich combo that comes with fries. I added one piece of spicy thigh chicken. Service was sort of slow. It took over 30 minutes to get my order. Ambiance is clean which is also shared with Duke Bakery and Cotti Coffee. Overall, I really like my meal. It was just ok. I will not come back again.

There's like 4 businesses in one location , we walked in through the photo booth entrance. There is a touchscreen to order your food at the front. There was one person ordering before me, so it wasn't too busy and didn't think it would take too long to get my food. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a spicy chicken sandwich, chicken wrap and hey chicken sauce. They also gave me ranch instead of the hey chicken sauce. They also don't tell you when your order is ready, you have to keep in with them to ask. The food was okay, wouldn't go out of my way to come back here. I did like the little reusable take out bag they give you with your food.

I planned my visiting during the weekday right when they opened since the plaza is usually busy and packed with people. It's located inside Duke's Bakery. I chose their chicken sandwich combo ($13.99) which comes with a can of coke and fries but I switched out the fries with a side of popcorn chicken ($2.99) to try. I also got a single chicken drumstick ($3.99) to try their fried chicken. The wait time was a bit long since people ordered ahead online on their website, they have a kiosk in store. Once my order came, they have a few tables inside to eat. The popcorn chicken was juicy and seasoned nicely. The portion was a good size. The chicken was good, breading was not too thick and the chicken was juicy. The sandwich was filling with mayo and fresh lettuce. The chicken was a large portion and very juicy. It was still steaming out and the breading was not too thick, had a nice crunch to it. The staff is nice.

This place is perfect for getting your chicken takeout. You order through a self-service kiosk inside. The food is made fresh to order. The chicken is large, crispy, and juicy. There is an option for original or spicy chicken. They have a range of chicken options, such as wings, sandwiches, wraps, whole chicken, etc. The store is located in Diamond Plaza and shares a space with Duke's Bakery. There are a few tables and chairs to dine in.

I've heard so many great things about Hey Chicken and how my friends drive up all the way from OC so I had to give it a try. They are located in Diamond Plaza and share a storefront with Duke's Bakery but there is a pretty large sign outside so you won't miss it. We knew we had to get the fried chicken but there were so many different options to pick from, grilled, fried, whole chicken, chicken sandwiches/wraps, etc. We ended up sharing the Hey Chicken Wings Box (Original), Hey Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Hey Onion Rings and the Hey Mozzarella Sticks. When the food came out, you would smell all that deliciousness and we couldn't wait to dig in. The chicken wings were piping hot, so crispy and juicy at the same time. We really liked all the different dry seasonings and sauces to switch up the flavors. The sandwich was solid as were the onion rings and mozzarella sticks. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait for the Irvine location to open up so that I'm way closer. Will definitely be back!

Was in the mood for something quick and satisfying, and found this place on Yelp so decided to give it a try! Didn't realize this is in the Diamond plaza with the parking challenge o_o' Luckily found a spot in the underground garage without too much time. Got to the restaurant and ordered from the kiosk. Ordered 4 pieces (drum/thigh) and a side order of nuggets. It took some time for the food to come out, I guess they do have to fry each order from scratch which is understandable. The food came out after 20 minutes and was piping hot! The skin was super crispy but not greasy, and the meat is tender and juicy. Overall perfectly fried! The chicken pieces were quite large, with the skin/breading it was very filling. We didn't get to the nuggets at all. The restaurant is bright and inviting, more than half the space is devoted to the bakery part, and there is also some fun Photo Booth thing. Customer foot traffic was nonstop while we ate, definitely a popular spot!

The beginning of the stringy chicken :(

If you've ever had Burger Box or MBL & Q Burger before, this place is no different. They're located in Diamond Plaza, next to Boiling Point. They've seemed to replace Duke Bakery. I ordered off UberEats so I'm not exactly sure :') My order: Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo- the buns were soft and buttery, very yummy! It had mayo and shredded lettuce in it, no tomatoes (perf for me!) For the side, you can choose between fries or popcorn chicken. I chose the latter. The chicken filet was not as plump or juicy as some other places. It was flattened out a bit too much. The batter was crispy but not packed with intense flavor or spice. The chicken in this sandwich is the main reason why I docked off 2 stars. I was about 3 bites in before the filet became super stringy. I lost count how many times I had to separate the chicken "spaghetti" away from the sandwich to my mouth. It might've been a one-off thing but it was super disappointing to eat. The popcorn chicken was decent. Same batter with same flavor but no apparent stringiness. 6 pc chicken nuggets- the pictures made it look like they're the same as McDonalds nuggies and they were similar but still noticeably different to nuggie lovers. If I had them fresh at the restaurant or popped them into the air fryer for a few minutes, they would've been fantastic. Hey Chicken Sauce- I can't describe it but it tastes like any house sauce you'd get at an Asian fried chicken place. It's like a mixture of thousand island and something else. This was ok for some extra flavor. On weekdays, I do OMAD and this meal was NOT worth breaking my fast for. I'll give this place another a month or so before giving them another try.

I love fried chix so I had to try this spot. I got the spicy chicken sammich n it had just the right amount of spice not too spicy. I got the combo with fries and a soda. Can't have a sammich without fries lol The food is made fresh to order so thats a bonus. You can order at the self serve kiosk or someone takes your order. I also got the whole chicken. This was very tender n doesn't seem oily such as other places. The service is friendly and this place shares it with duke bakery. There are about 5 tables to dine in and I enjoyed my dinner and got to dine in. After, if you've got a sweet tooth or need some pastries duke's comes in handy.

food is fine but it' s soooo slow to cook it
    Monica L.

The chicken is crispy, but it is took so long to cook and served its just fast food and if it wasn't fast enough, I don't think I would be eating it again

The chickens we got today although look big and crispy on the outside, it taste bad.and smell like rotten. I believe they are not fresh. May have been stored in the refregirator for too long. We have to throw them all in the trash bin.

Very poor service, the person behind counter, only care his lunch, not the business. Poor service. August 1st 3:30pm.

My partner and I came to this plaza for chubby cattle but the wait was so long we decided to stop by here for a quick snack. We got the spicy chicken wrap and it was sooo good. Restaurant seemed like it was ran by a dad and his daughter, they were both very nice. Definitely would recommend and come back!

I finally got to try the Chinese Style Fried Chicken!! After busy running errands since the morning, I decided to stop by Hey Chicken to grab a quick bite. I loved that I was able to order everything at the kiosk which made it quicker and more efficient. I got myself the Hey Crispy Chicken Sandwich Combo which comes with crinkle cut fries, coke, and the chicken was moist yet crispy. The size of the sandwich is decent, but since I was still very hungry I decided to order Crispy Chicken Wrap that comes with tortilla instead of buns. I also ordered New Orleans style chicken sandwich to go for my friend. There were only several tables inside the restaurant so the set up was definitely more gear towards grab and go. The restaurant also shares space with a bakery so I was able to get some pastries to go too. In terms of parking, it could get hectic during lunch/dinner rush since there are so many restaurants in the plaza so just I just parked underground to avoid the hustle and bustle. I will definitely return again to try other items on their menu!
