I haven't been to Denny's in years! Their menu options have changed since then, but still have some of the classic Denny's dishes. My family and I were here at midnight last Saturday. Parking was easy - there were plenty of spots open in front of the business. Inside, there were a few groups of people occupying some of their booths. Our waitress took our drink orders right away and gave us a good amount of time to look over the menu. First thing I saw was the steak and eggs, SOLD! I noticed they served T-bone steak and eggs and Sirloin steak and eggs. I opted for the sirloin (medium-rare with grilled mushrooms on top), over-easy eggs, hash browns, and no toast. Our waitress offered pancakes at no charge, WHAT?! I was eyeing their plant-based pancakes, so I asked what was in them. Flaxseeds, wheat, and cinnamon. Mmm... Our dishes arrived all at once after a few minutes. We were all digging in and having a great time. Our waitress was lovely! She was attentive and friendly. She made the experience more enjoyable. I appreciate the fact this is open 24/7, and that the food was decent even at a late hour. Next time we're looking for a late night bite, I would come back here. read more

I am very disappointed with my experience at this Denny's location. Unfortunately, this visit had several issues that made our dining experience very frustrating. I came here with my friend and my dad, who is 80+ years old with silver hair and clearly a senior citizen. I ordered him the same meal that was offered on the 55+ menu, but later noticed it was about $5 less. When I asked if the price could be adjusted, I was told it could not be honored because I originally ordered from the regular menu. I understand restaurants have policies, but I feel this situation could have been handled with better customer service and common courtesy. Since it was the exact same meal, I was disappointed that the staff was unwilling to make a reasonable adjustment for a senior customer. The service was also disappointing. Our dishes came out at different times, which made it difficult for everyone to enjoy their meals together. My dads order was Salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I asked if we can substitute the veggies with corn, but it still came with broccoli. I did not mind the correction, but instead of bringing out the corn, the food was taken away and left waiting while the server attended to other tasks and helped another customer. By the time his plate came back, his food was cold. - The food quality was not what I expected. Some of the food was overcooked. - My favorite dessert (caramel apple pie crisp) was very disappointing. The dough was soggy and not crispy at all. - the raspberry iced tea was extremely sweet compared to previous visits. - coffee was like warm I hope management reviews this situation and considers being more accommodating in the future. This review is based on tonights dinner. Thanksgiving turkey dinner was on the "salty" side. Even the steamed broccoli was too salty. I needed a lot of water to wash down the saltiness. If you come here, tell the helper to caution the cook not to put too much salt. There's table salt anyway. read more

The food is your typical Denny's fare, cooked a little better than most Denny's. The big reason for five starts? There was only one cook and one waitress on a busy Monday evening. Annalily S was our waitress and you would never know she was taking care of about 30 customers at the same time. She was smiling and happy to help. She deserves a raise, she was amazing and cheerful. When leaving, my granddaughter asked me for four quarters for one of the claw machines. I didn't have it. Annalily overheard and handed her four quarters. (My wife paid her back). Dennys has been our go to lately for the burgers. The classic burger with fries is $8. You can't beat the price, and it's a very good burger. It's a good sized all beef patty. And it comes with wavy cut fries. Service is always good, the waiters are so nice and friendly and very attentive. They will check on you regularly and your drink never goes empty with them around. read more

Melani, I just wanted to share this respectfully. You were kind and friendly, and I truly appreciate that. I did feel like the service felt a little rushed at times. When you walked away quickly, I didn't always get the chance to ask for what I needed. I also had to ask twice for ranch, my food literally got cold just waiting for it. I paid because I try not to be that person to ask her refund, but I had to eat my food cold. Yeah you were over there talking to the manager and doing other things this is what I mean by slowing down and taking time to listen to the customer I asked you for ranch, but you were so quick to walk away that you didn't probably even hear me I completely understand everyone has their own style, and customer service isn't easy. I just think slowing down a little and giving guests a small pause to speak could really make a difference. I'm sharing this with good intentions. Thank you again for serving me I wanted to friendly remind you I know you seem fairly young, but so many people wish that they had a job. Be grateful for the blessing that's in front of you. I went to breakfast this past Monday with my family. The waiter by the bar section seems pretty serious, no smile or conversation. Sorry you had to work on Monday! Well I ordered the T-bone steak and eggs. I ordered it medium rare and it was made well done. I was pretty disappointed since the T-bone steak was thin like flap meat and over cooked. You would think since IHOP in San Dimas closed that Dennys would step up their game to gain more customers. With that said, I would rather drive the extra miles and go to the IHOP in La Verne from here on out. By the way, the red roasted potatoes were also over cooked and dry and they ran out of Fuze Raspberry Iced Tea! Not sure what's going on at this location. So I have some beef with Denny's because every once in a while, I crave a plane waffle with whipped butter and syrup! However, the last three times I've been there I've gotten a waffle with bits of toffee in it. And it doesn't hit the same. When ordering this last time, I was very specific I want a plain waffle. The waitress said no problem. Guess what it had toffee bits inside so I was confused. after two bites I have to waitress over and I pointed to it and I said there's toffee in this she said is there really oh no I'll tell the cook and I asked her. Do you just have plain waffles with no toffee bits in it and she says oh no it's in the mix. So back up, I asked for a plain waffle she said yes they have it, but she knew it's in the mix. Just disappointed I feel like they could do better. Also, the bacon and sausage seems like it was made earlier that day. It was cold and nasty. And I spit it out in my napkin. When you're ready to go, I have to actually get up and look for our waitress. She was in the back washing dishes so I think that the cook and the server are the only two people there. Which is serve uneasy since we came at 8:45 PM. So I can see how they sort of cutting corners IHOP on arrow is very similar, I feel like the pizza and excitement is all sucked out of those restaurants. Not everything is made to order. Food is 'ok' (Typical of Al Denny's), HOWEVER, ALL SIDES are an 'up charge', and are not identified as such on the menu. Plus they seemed very understaffed. I did feel sorry for the waitress, she was polite, but trapped by outdated ideas of 'what Good Customer Service' is. Further, she also acted as hostess & bus person. She said this is the chain policy on up-charges, not hers. We will probably cross Denny's off of our list for future visits. This was NOT a pleasant experience! I always go to Denny's at 820 S. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont, CA for breakfast or just to get the senior grilled cheese and fries meal. It used to be on the senior meal, but it is no longer there. I wish it wasn't taking off. That was like my favorite thing to do. I think you all should bring it back. I was ordering in the app and something glitched sending my order here, I believe because I previously ordered at this one, but I travel for my work and now I'm down in San Diego. I called them and explained the situation. Not only were they rude, they continuously gave me the run around. I asked to speak to a manger and he was 3 TIMES ruder than the regular employees. I spent $30 PLUS a generous tip and I couldn't even be properly respected and treated with dignity. BEST Dennys experience!!! I showed up at around 10PM on 8/28/25 and my party was the only table occupied. Less than 5 minutes after sitting down, one group after the other starts showing up until what seemed to be half the restaurant was full. Mind you, the only person working was Ms. Gail and the kitchen staff. My utmost respect to them. They had the efficiency and service of a full Sunday morning crew. The food was exactly as we had asked for it. Not once did I have to ask for a refill, I didn't see plates piling up waiting to be served, we were checked up on regularly and she kept a smile on at all times while being in a situation most people would have cracked. This has to be the best meal I've ever had. The chef was just amazingly so sweet to me and I got the original grand slam. The pancakes were cooked perfectly buttery and crispy.
