We came here after a long morning hike in the Glendora hills. They had outdoor seating which was nice. There's also indoor seating but it was pretty dark in there. This restaurant was not busy at all, but the servers kept forgetting which tables ordered what. For example, they brought food out to our table while some of us were in the restroom and 5 minutes later they came back and took it without even saying anything. We then proceed to wait another 20 min for our food. Then we had to continuously ask our waitress for boxes, water, takeout boxes. They even charged us for steak (costs more) when we had ordered chicken. There was a good range of agua frescas Overall pretty disappointed. read more

Then they sat us next to a large group of people They were extremely loud because they had to talk above the loud music. We asked if we could sit on the patio which the waiter quickly said no. He said that the manager said no. But then a group of people with a dog sat outside. So we asked again and they said no. A couple next to us asked another waiter if they could sit outside. He said no. The couple grabbed their drinks and went outside on the patio Then they got their food. I had it. I told the waiter we're going outside on the patio too. You can serve us if you want to. But that's where we are going. We got our food (OUTSIDE). The noise levels outside is very quiet with low volume music playing. It's not that hard to walk an extra few feet to make sure that the customer is happy. If the inside of your restaurant was playing the music at a reasonable volume perhaps it would have been acceptable. But the waiter didn't care nor did the manager that he allegedly said that he spoke to. On a better note, the tacos were delicious. Show some courtesy to your customers and walk the extra mile for customer service. You dropped the ball on this one read more

Celebrated a birthday here a couple days ago, first time trying it out. Parking is in rear and there is plenty!! We were seated pretty quickly and had no wait time for a party of 10. Host and waitress were really friendly. We ordered the calamari, molcajete with a Jamaica. Calamari: 5/5 This appetizer was a great way to start our celebration. It was crispy enough to keep you wanting more. The flavor wasn't too fishy and it was accompanied by some tasty dipping sauces. Would definitely order again. Molcajete: 4/5 A favorite at our table that was filled with so many protein options and a nice salsa to pair with. We loved the chicken, chorizo, and the queso!! The only reason it got a 4/5 was because the steak was waaaay too salty which made it hard to enjoy. The shrimp was a nice touch, also not too fishy and the bacon paired nicely. You can definitely taste a variety of flavors and it's also a big enough portion to share! Comes with beans and rice which we ended up splitting with our kiddos. Jamaica: 5/5 We loved the Jamaica here and it tastes very traditional. It doesn't taste like it's made from powder and comes in a huge glass cup. Not too sweet and the bold flavor of the hibiscus makes it hard to stop drinking! Loved it. Overall, a great place to dine in for celebrations or just for a nice dinner. There was practically nobody at 2pm on a Friday and it was awesome. Staff were helpful, the ambiance was amazing, and the food was awesome! I will say the best dish we had was the flavor of the pork belly bites. Absolutely unique and texture was awesome. We visited this spot for a celebratory brunch and had a great experience. For 6 people there was about a 30 minute wait on a Sunday. We were sat outside and there was lots of shade and misters. We had an assortment of food items: huevos rancheros, breakfast burrito (swapped pork belly for steak), tres leches pancakes, and chilaquiles. I wasn't really expecting much from the vegetarian options, but I finished everything on my plate. My girlfriends and I came here for happy hour and dinner, and we had such a good first experience. The food was really good! We started with guacamole and chips and fish tacos, then shared a big platter with carne asada, grilled chicken, cheese, nopales, grilled cebollitas and more, along with rice and beans. There was plenty of food to share, everything came out beautifully presented, and everything we tried was delicious. We finished with the churros, which were also really good. The drinks were very well made and actually nice and strong! I appreciate that because so many places serve drinks that taste watered down, and that definitely wasn't our experience here. The restaurant itself is really cute and has some great signs and backgrounds for pictures. We got some really nice group photos for our social media, and one of the employees even volunteered to take a picture for us so we could all be in it, which was really sweet. Even the girls' restroom was super cute and nicely decorated. You can tell they put thought into the little details throughout the place. Our waitress, Marissa, was wonderful from beginning to end. She was sweet, attentive and made sure we were taken care of throughout the night. The other employees we interacted with were also very friendly and helpful. I'm really happy our first experience here was such a good one. Thankfully it wasn't too busy or crowded and we were seated right away, but the service was extremely slow from start to finish. When our food finally came out, it was cold. We let our server know, and when the food was brought back out, it was still cold again. After mentioning it a second time, we were basically told there was nothing else they could do. We were given the check with no real attempt to make the situation right, and at that point we just wanted to leave. What made it more disappointing is that I've been here before and the food was genuinely really good, so I know they're capable of a much better experience. She was always one step ahead and made sure we were taken care of throughout our entire meal. On top of being an excellent server, Maria was incredibly sweet, friendly, and welcoming. We went here the Saturday before Mother's Day and there was an approx. 30 minute wait time which was nice because I was expecting longer. We ordered the chilaquiles, tres leches pancakes, and breakfast burrito, and each portion is entirely sharable. The interior is very nice and there are spots outside to take cute photos. I would say the only thing I didn't like was their strawberry horchata which I thought was wayy too sweet; however, I just took it to go which filled two (2) entire to-go cups and diluted it at home, making approx. three (3) servings TLDR: the food is great, horchata is a bit sweet, portions are large and sharable, and the atmosphere is trendy and cute! read more

I first heard of this place through a friend who sent me a video on Instagram advertising $20 unlimited wings. Honestly, I thought it was too good to be true, but I decided to take my wife--who absolutely loves wings--to check it out for ourselves. Right away we really liked the little town it's in, and the restaurant itself looked clean and well kept. When we arrived, the place was completely packed. Even so, after about five minutes our waiter sat us down, which we appreciated considering how busy it was. Let me just say that our waiter Jazmine was the best part of the experience. She explained how the unlimited wings deal worked and even gave us some recommendations for flavors. The way it works is they start you off with 10 wings of your choice, and after that you can keep ordering more in increments of five. We probably ended up trying almost every flavor, but our favorites were definitely the Thai Sriracha and Buffalo. Along with the wings, I ordered a seltzer that I thought was just going to come in a regular can, but Jazmine went out of her way to dress it up with a Tajín rim and chamoy, which was a really nice touch. Unfortunately, when the wings first came out they were kind of cold. It almost seemed like they might have been fried in advance and sitting for a bit before being tossed in sauce to keep up with the large crowd that came for the deal. Jazmine apologized and assured us the next batch would come out hotter, but unfortunately it was pretty much the same situation. So personally, I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the wings. That said, I did see some other items on the menu that looked really good and might be worth giving a try another time. This place is like a teeter-totter; but your partner is a fat kid that eats somewhere other than Clandestino and enjoyed the food way too much. This very satisfied kid left you stuck in the air, your feet dangling for over five minutes, with no food and no service. Just like the last time we visited Clandistino, so we left. I want to like this place. I'll repeat that, "I want to like this place." I've come more than a few times to give them a shot, but they keep falling short, like a horseshoe stuck five inches from the stake. Coming close with food and service is a no-go in my book; the dual experience killer. If you come at night the restaurant is consistently dark and singularly illuminated by a blaring neon white sign. I could easily even out my tan if seated too close to it and would need a flashlight to read the menu if seated too far. The first couple times I visited I couldn't understand what all the hype was about, it made me feel like the adds on insta and reviews in Yelp were saccharine. And if I can use saccharine in a sentence and it's not about sweetener in my iced tea, it must be a reference to being artificial. I glare unapologetically at my yelp friends with zero friends and no other reviews except the one for Clandestino. The food has been average. Just average. It's not made with love. We started out well.. we warmly greeted, we came for brunch on a Sunday and there was about a 20 minute wait. When we were seated, we sat outside in the patio area. They had fans with misters on and umbrellas up. But it was just such a hot day. Our waitress was initially on top of things. She brought us water and took our order pretty quick and even brought us extra napkins. We ordered the pork belly bites and they were delicious. Then a minutes pass by, other servers passing by and noticing our water cups were empty and we could hear someone a refill their water cups and no one did, not even our waitress. We ordered the chilaquiles, chilaquiles burrito, the clandestine breakfast and avocado toast. The food was good. Nothing too exciting or special. The portions were big but nothing really stood out. We asked for syrup for the french toast and salsa for the chilaquiles and burrito. By the time we got it, my husband was full and did not finish the French toast and I had already eaten half the burrito that I was full and no longer needed the salsa. What made the experience not enjoyable even though we are enjoying talking to each other, was our waters were never refilled, when we were checked on by our waitress we did not get what we asked for and when she dropped off the check it still took another 20 minutes to pay.
