Egg white omelette

The service was perfect and the restaurant didn't feel overwhelming in terms of tables being close to each other. The food was so yummy! I wasn't really expecting much from the vegetarian options, but I finished everything on my plate. We'd been in the area two other times after a hike and the food at a particular restaurant nearby had failed me each time despite having more vegetarian and vegan options. The coffee just needs to taste a bit more like coffee, haha. I finished it nonetheless to reduce food waste!

Came for brunch and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience this time around. Thankfully it wasn't too busy or crowded and we were seated right away, but the service was extremely slow from start to finish. When our food finally came out, it was cold. We let our server know, and when the food was brought back out, it was still cold again. After mentioning it a second time, we were basically told there was nothing else they could do. We were given the check with no real attempt to make the situation right, and at that point we just wanted to leave. What made it more disappointing is that I've been here before and the food was genuinely really good, so I know they're capable of a much better experience. For some reason, it just didn't hit this time.

Jasmin is the best, the food is great and to be honest all the servers are really awesome

I'm surprised I haven't gone here sooner with how close it is to home! We went here the Saturday before Mother's Day and there was an approx. 30 minute wait time which was nice because I was expecting longer. After ordering our food, it took around 5-10 mins to get to the table and holy moly the portions are big! We ordered the chilaquiles, tres leches pancakes, and breakfast burrito, and each portion is entirely sharable. The interior is very nice and there are spots outside to take cute photos. I would say the only thing I didn't like was their strawberry horchata which I thought was wayy too sweet; however, I just took it to go which filled two (2) entire to-go cups and diluted it at home, making approx. three (3) servings TLDR: the food is great, horchata is a bit sweet, portions are large and sharable, and the atmosphere is trendy and cute!

I ordered the ribeye and the chilaquiles, and it was good. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, and the service was friendly. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

It was our first visit and will definitely return. The food was amazing.. tasty n big portions. Our server (didn't get her name at the end) was on point and always coming over our table and asked if we need refills or anything else?... she was amazing!!! The restaurant was great, clean and friendly. It was full when we were there but no long wait to be seated, served or when getting our order.

Stopped by on Sunday, 03/29/26 to celebrate my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend! We originally wanted to stop by on Sunday 03/22/26 (our actual anniversary date) however had some other priorities that came up so we ended up rescheduling. Upon arrival we added ourselves to the wait list (40 minute wait). Once our table was ready we were seated outside (unfortunately they did not have any available seats indoors and it was super duper hot that day). We ordered the following: - 1 negra modelo bottle = $6 - 1 guava flavored mimosa = $9 - 1 pork belly bites = $16 - 1 side of fries = $7 - 1 anniversary churro = FREE SUBTOTAL = $38 TAX = $4.09 TIP = $5.70 TOTAL $47.79 ** Also placed $10 cash tip on table ** Overall we had a great experience minus the heat outdoors. We received a complimentary dessert which was nice of them with an amazing presentation. Boyfriend and I met here for the first time (first date) and wanted to religiously stop by here yearly to celebrate our anniversary as this place has a special place in our hearts. TILL NEXT YEAR!

BBQ and Buffalo wings

Almost a 5 star buttt the service lacked towards the end. First let's start in the good stuff, food was amazing we got the unlimited wings for $20 and the mitches omg! all the flavors where delicious except the butter garlic Wich they where all out and we didn't get to try. The Thai ones where were the best for us but must try all of them they are all delicious! Very cool place to have dinner, relaxed vibe. They have outdoor sitting. Overall good Regarding service at end they forgot to give us ranch when we asked and wings kept getting there later and later. we will be back tho, food was tasty

Thai Sriracha, Buffalo, Mango Habanero wings

I first heard of this place through a friend who sent me a video on Instagram advertising $20 unlimited wings. Honestly, I thought it was too good to be true, but I decided to take my wife--who absolutely loves wings--to check it out for ourselves. Right away we really liked the little town it's in, and the restaurant itself looked clean and well kept. When we arrived, the place was completely packed. Even so, after about five minutes our waiter sat us down, which we appreciated considering how busy it was. Let me just say that our waiter Jazmine was the best part of the experience. She explained how the unlimited wings deal worked and even gave us some recommendations for flavors. The way it works is they start you off with 10 wings of your choice, and after that you can keep ordering more in increments of five. We probably ended up trying almost every flavor, but our favorites were definitely the Thai Sriracha and Buffalo. Along with the wings, I ordered a seltzer that I thought was just going to come in a regular can, but Jazmine went out of her way to dress it up with a Tajín rim and chamoy, which was a really nice touch. Unfortunately, when the wings first came out they were kind of cold. It almost seemed like they might have been fried in advance and sitting for a bit before being tossed in sauce to keep up with the large crowd that came for the deal. Jazmine apologized and assured us the next batch would come out hotter, but unfortunately it was pretty much the same situation. So personally, I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the wings. That said, I did see some other items on the menu that looked really good and might be worth giving a try another time. Overall, big shoutout to Jazmine for being so attentive and helpful despite how busy the restaurant was. She definitely made the experience better.

Gastro bars is a nice way of saying their attention is on food and they do an exceptional job with the culinary side of the house, came for the food and "OH Boy" it didn't disappoint, split the Rib-Eye Chilaquiles with my daughter, it was amazing for about 5 minutes, then the chips were so soggy that we couldn't enjoy the chilaquiles it just turned into a pile of red and green mush. Good flavor, but the texture over-road enjoyment of the entry. My wife ordered the Clandestino breakfast, again the presentation was perfect the plate visually is very appetizing. However she ordered eggs over easy and they were overcooked, the syrup was either old or started to age incorrectly, it had a heavy taste of lacquer. My wife and daughter split the double margarita flight and said that was the highlight of the meal, unfortunate for sure. The bottom line is $150 3 people and the food was average...

This place is like a teeter-totter; but your partner is a fat kid that eats somewhere other than Clandestino and enjoyed the food way too much. This very satisfied kid left you stuck in the air, your feet dangling for over five minutes, with no food and no service. Just like the last time we visited Clandistino, so we left. I want to like this place. I'll repeat that, "I want to like this place." I've come more than a few times to give them a shot, but they keep falling short, like a horseshoe stuck five inches from the stake. Coming close with food and service is a no-go in my book; the dual experience killer. If you come at night the restaurant is consistently dark and singularly illuminated by a blaring neon white sign. I could easily even out my tan if seated too close to it and would need a flashlight to read the menu if seated too far. The first couple times I visited I couldn't understand what all the hype was about, it made me feel like the adds on insta and reviews in Yelp were saccharine. And if I can use saccharine in a sentence and it's not about sweetener in my iced tea, it must be a reference to being artificial. I glare unapologetically at my yelp friends with zero friends and no other reviews except the one for Clandestino. The food has been average. Just average. It's not made with love. It appears what is clandestine at Clandestino is consistent food and service.

Gourmet burger 5/10. The parmesan fries are hardly parmesan fries. They are just french fries with shredded Parmesan on top.

I really wanted to like this place. It's a cool spot for people my age in Azusa, and it's super close to home. I've worked in brunch restaurants for years, so I genuinely appreciate the concept--but the service I experienced today just wasn't it. We came in during the lunch-to-dinner transition and waited about 15 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a big deal. The issue started with our server, Maria. From the beginning, she seemed impatient. When I ordered my drink and then turned to my friend to ask what he wanted, she looked like she was about to walk away, which rushed him into ordering before he was ready. Our drinks came out quickly, but she never brought the water I asked for. I didn't realize until after she walked away again when we had asked for another minute to look at the menu. When she came back to take our order, the same thing happened. I ordered, then my friend started to--but I paused to ask him if he wanted to split an appetizer. While he was answering me, Maria again seemed like she was ready to walk away, as if we weren't moving fast enough. I asked for water a second time. The restaurant wasn't busy--no one on the patio and maybe four tables inside--so it felt unnecessary to be rushed like that. Also, as someone with experience in the industry, it would've been nice if she had asked whether we wanted the appetizer to come out with the entrée. Serving food at completely different times for two people at the same table isn't great service. My friend got his food first, and my burger came about five minutes later. Still no water--so I asked the expo, and Maria finally brought it, but with noticeable attitude. ( My friend had made a comment to me "did you sleep with her boyfriend or something?") Based off of how noticable her attitude was towards me. A few minutes into eating, I realized my fries weren't the Parmesan fries I ordered--just plain fries. Not a huge deal, but I had been looking forward to them, so I asked to have it fixed. When I told the expo, she grabbed my plate and rolled her eyes as she walked away. By that point, it was around 4pm, and I had already been feeling sick all morning with stomach pain. I just wanted to enjoy a good meal and spend time with a friend, but after dealing with repeated attitude and poor service, I was ready to go home. Honestly, after 20 years in food service, this isn't the kind of experience I would ever want associated with a place I worked at. If you don't want to work there DONT! Plenty of other people in the city of Azusa they could hire.

My only complaint was the chicken portion to salad was a little slim but, the crispy tots made up for it. The star of the show was the bread pudding! I'm not a huge fan of soggy bread but, this one was perfect. It had candied walnuts, caramel, vanilla ice cream and apples. Probably some of the best bread pudding I've had. Since we were starving, I didn't get food pics but, I would absolutely recommend dining here for a good time and good food.

Jorge came outside multiple times, clearly saw how many people were waiting, and even recorded the crowd on his phone three different times for social media. Knowing the capacity of the restaurant, he could have easily informed everyone that the remaining people in line would likely not get in. Instead, we waited over three hours with no communication. While we were waiting, I repeatedly watched people call Jorge. He would come outside, greet them, and bring them straight inside. I personally saw this happen at least six different times. When it was finally our turn to speak with the host, we were told there were no seats left, that we would have to stand, and that we wouldn't even be able to order food. I confronted Jorge about letting those other groups in ahead of everyone else. His response was that he knew them personally and that they were friends of the restaurant owners. That explanation only made the situation worse. My wife had just finished a 14-hour hospital shift, and we came here hoping to enjoy the game together. Instead, we spent three hours waiting only to be treated as though our time didn't matter. What was most shocking was Jorge's attitude. He literally told me, "They won't do anything to me if you post this. I'm friends with the owner." If that's the mindset of management, it's no surprise customers are treated this way. It truly felt like only friends and family received special treatment while everyone else was left waiting without honesty or respect. I have no issue waiting when things are busy, but I do expect transparency, fairness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience showed none of those qualities.
