I met a former colleague here for lunch. I picked this place because it was the midway point between our homes. This turned out to be a great choice. Plenty of parking and easy to find on Grand Avenue in Glendora. I was most pleased with the customer service from the hostess who greeted, explained who she was seating next and offered me a place to sit and wait. She returned and escorted me to our booth, asked if it was my first time there, which it was, and proceeded to explain the menu and some of their specialties. Once my friend arrived, our waiter, Michael) came and introduced himself, took our drink order and told us of a meal that he likes to recommend. I was impressed with the great customer service from the hostess and our waiter. Bravo! I ordered the chicken Caesar salad wrap with fruit and my friend ordered the breakfast burrito. Both of our meals came shortly thereafter which gave us time to catch up on things before we ate. My friend said it was the best breakfast burrito that she ever had and could only finish half of it. It came with sides of beans and rice. My wrap was very good and satisfied my need of having a heart healthy lunch. The place is spacious and busy so the noise level was to be expected when it was obvious that everyone was having a good time. Good food = Good times. Delicious food with tremendous portions that left me walking like I was a few months pregnant. Brianna provided us with very attentive service and was extremely personable throughout our visit. The only downside during the stay didn't happen to us, but feel like it can't go without mentioning. Anthony (looked like a manager) was getting flagged down by a party of, like, 7 that were looking to get drinks. The father of the bunch gestured his way with an audible "excuse me," which turned Manager Anthony's head to the point where they made eye contact before continuing on his walking path. The family got up immediately and walked out, myself and the father laughed at the fact that Manager Anthony looked right at him. They must have been short staffed because it seemed like all the servers were all over the place. We were overcharged for coffees so had to have them remove one. 4/5 Parking It can get crowded and hard to find a spot. Especially during the weekends it seems to be a club atmosphere with brunch. Me and my cousins went for brunch on Sunday everything was amazing the food was great. Our server did an amazing job AT FIRST. We all split the bill and left a tip. Our server then took the receipts and the cash part of the tip. It was $5.00 BUT we each left more money when we paid with our cards. And she made a comment of "Only 5 dollars!" with an extremely rude and disgusting tone and walked away. If she would have taken one second and looked at the slips she would see we left her more. It was sad to hear and made the entire experience really shitty at the end. I have been a server and understand how frustrating it can be but wait to complain in the kitchen, not say some comment to your customer! We were nice and did not ask her for much. We dined at Broken Yolk in Glendora today at 7:31 AM, and after years of coming here, this was by far the worst experience we've had. Andrea seated us, and my wife immediately noticed that the booth seat appeared to have syrup or some sticky substance on it. Since the restaurant was practically empty, she politely asked if we could move to another table. Instead of accommodating a simple request, Andrea dismissed us and said, "It's just ripped, don't worry about it." My wife then cleaned the seat herself with a wipe, and residue came off, proving there was actually something on it. What really upset us was that shortly afterward another family came in, and Andrea asked them where they wanted to sit. We were never given that option. The difference in how we were treated was obvious and left us feeling discriminated against as Asian customers. Management needs to address this. A customer should never be dismissed for raising a reasonable concern, especially when there are plenty of available tables. This is not how you treat loyal customers, families, or anyone who walks through your doors. Andrea's attitude was unprofessional, and this experience left a very negative impression on us. read more

Broken Yolk Cafe is truly a local staple for brunch! We came on a rainy Sunday morning and were seated fairly quickly (within 10 minutes). The hostess was super kind and our server was very attentive, checking in with us often. We ended up ordering two savory dishes and one sweet dish to share: El Fuego Omelette: 5/5 The El Fuego omelette was so flavorful and there was a very nice kick of spice from the chorizo! The guacamole and pico de gallo added a refreshing twist and really elevated the dish as a whole. As for the omelette itself, it was cooked perfectly and there was a good amount of cheese, jalapeño and chorizo filling on the inside. This is honestly one of the best omelettes I have ever had, highly recommend! Classic Eggs Benedict and Chicken and Waffle Benedict: 4/5 We ended up doing the "Choose Any Two" and ending up selecting the classic eggs benedict and chicken and waffles benedict. The classic eggs benedict was delicious and was smothered in their creamy hollandaise sauce while the egg was beautifully poached to perfection. As for the chicken and waffle benedict, the taste was decent but we would not go for it again. We weren't a big fan of the hollandaise sauce and poached egg being paired with the chicken and waffle, and the waffle ended up being soggy at the bottom. However their classic eggs benedict is still a must try! Tiki Toast: 5/5 The tiki toast was so fluffy and grilled to a beautiful golden brown while the caramel drizzle on top added an additional depth of flavor! The coconut shreds on top were also not too overpowering and the berries scattered around the dish were very fresh. While the dish was already drenched with syrup the toast slices were still crispy on the outside. This dish is a perfect choice for those who have a sweet tooth! Overall, the experience here at Broken Yolk Cafe was a 5/5 on both food and service. The dishes have a fusion of different cultural foods and are very unique compared to other brunch places. I walked into this restaurant thinking I was going to get a great brunch experience with my family but was disappointed from the beginning. Waiting for more than 10 min to be greeted by someone. There were no employees in the front desk. Finally one of the waiters came and acknowledged me. I was standing there for a long time. I get my table and no one even offered or asked if I needed a high chair for my daughter, so I walked and grabbed one myself. The waiter comes back and takes my order and then I proceed to wait for my food. The ambience was not that special, just a regular restaurant and a bar. Don't get me wrong. The food was great, but the customer service experience is so poor and unprofessional that made me not want to come back and eat here. It's truly disappointing that they neglected us and made us feel like our business didn't matter. After we ate our food I was waiting for the waiter to come back and give me the check. I waited for 15 min and nothing. If I was one of those uneducated people, I could've just walked out of the restaurant without paying because no one was even paying attention. But I have morals and I'm not going to do that. So I raised my voice to one of the waiters and asked if they can give me my check so I can pay and get out of there. After, I paid and they asked me for a tip. I left 0 dollars due to the sorry ass service they provided. I don't know if it's due to their shortage of staff but this is something management needs to take care of immediately if they do not want to lose more business in the future. We visited the Glendora location on a Tuesday at 11. We got sat in a booth in the corner and sadly did not have great service. It was very noticeable that our waitress was not tending to us or other tables in the same section. Not sure if the restaurant was short staffed, but it really affected our experience. We had to ask someone else to bring us waters because our waitress did not come back for a long time. The food took forever, we even noticed a table get their food before us even though we sat before them.
