I've been here a couple of times...it's very hit and miss. Some days the service is excellent and the food comes out fresh. Other days I have to wait in an empty restaurant for 10 minutes before someone even acknowledges me....at which point I'm already leaving because of the poor service. read more

Another Denny's. We came here for a brunch on Memorial Day and expected it to be a bit crazy. We were told Denny's offered a discount for veterans on Memorial Day and my husband is military. It took awhile for us to be served buy a waitress, but in the meantime the hostess came over and took our drink order without being asked. There seems to be good communication between the staff on making sure customers are tended to. Our server was Sarah. I have rarely had such good service from wait staff at a chain restaurant like Denny's, Sarah was fantastic. Her bubbly and upbeat demeanor and accurate order taking made for a pleasant dining experience overall. The food was nothing fantastic, it is, after all, Denny's, but everything was made as ordered. The only small complaint would be that my crispy hash browns were not crispy enough, but that may be an issue on my part. 1 strange situation, there was an older gentleman busboy who was clearly angry. I don't know what happened to him and I don't know what was going on but he was clinging down his dishpan and mumbling under his breath and storming around like he was Furious. It was very uncomfortable, and I almost asked my server if she should get her manager to talk to him. I decided to not get involved. At checkout, my husband presented his military ID. The individual at the counter was Ron, and his question first was oh, is it your birthday? We told him no, it was a military ID. He clearly had no idea about any discounts for the military, although at that time we discovered that there was an AAA discount, and I am a member. He was very confused and seemed clueless, I'm not sure what member of stuff he was but there should be additional training for people working the register. Not the worst experience, definitely not the best, I would go back but it wouldn't be a restaurant I would seek out. read more

I don't know how to say this but this place is absolutely disgusting. I drove up from New York wanting to eat a healthy breakfast. I arrived with several family members and was placed at a table immediately. Orders came out fairly quickly and the food was pretty good. After eating our breakfast we walked to the front counter where we were supposed to pay. As my aunt was paying for her breakfast a roach fell from a ceiling onto her back. I went here with my girlfriend for breakfast and have to say I was impressed. I ordered a burger because real men eat red meat for breakfast and my girlfriend ordered a grand slam breakfast. My burger was cooked medium well just as I ordered it and my girlfriend agreed that the meal was good for her as well. The server was quick to bring our food after we placed our order, was very friendly, and overall I was satisfied. It is only a Denny's though so expect it to be similar to other chain restaurants in that the menu is comprised of simple American dishes, nothing too fancy here. read more

The service was fantastic, and the food was well-made. I read some of the 1-star negative reviews from a year ago, but honestly feel much has been improved. Yesterday, I ordered the bacon cheeseburger which was great. Today, it was the loaded baked potato soup, and chicken sausage quesadillas. Stopped by around 10:30pm. It took quick a long time for anyone to greet us even though we made eye contact with 2 separate waiters. (Wasn't busy) We ended up only ordering a salad and the tater tot appetizer. The salad was on par for salads at these places but the tater tots were extremely salty and the presentation was so nasty. Went with my husband and kids for brunch on a Sunday, and while they were busy, the tables turned over quickly and we didn't have to wait. Our server was really sweet and attentive and the food was decent. Not a bad roadside treat for a breakfast off the interstate. Reasonably fast with good attention paid to the little ones in the group. Coffee but not as much of it as would have been nice. For those who are traveling in the north east and immediate environs, Denny's is one of the rare places where one can obtain proper hash browns and not those disgusting home fries. If I had a salient criticism for this particular location... please install wifi and advertise its existence. My husband and I went to Denny's shortly before 6:00 P.M. this evening to get their new hot turkey dipper sandwich. Our waiter informed us that they had no turkey. Can you imagine a restaurant in November having no turkey. We did not order anything. We left and went to another restaurant where we had some turkey. I've come here many a time with my husband and the food and service is always great. I always order the ranchero tilapia, my fav, and my husband orders breakfast. However, we came here recently on 8-11-17, and the host was exceptionally rude to us. He threw our menus down on the table and made it apparent that we were interrupting our waiter's break. Our waiter was very good. When we went to pay, the host didn't ask "how was everything" or say "thank you". Our bill came to $20.97, and when I gave him $21 and said keep it, all he said was "sure". I went to Denny's in Dickson city last night, and our waitress was Lizette. When we got there, we sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for her to take our drink order. We gave her the benefit of the doubt considering she looked busy. When she finally took our orders, I ordered pecan pancakes with eggs, hash browns and bacon. She brought us our food about 20 minutes later, and she only brought me my pancakes and said I'll be right back with the rest of your food. Needless to say, I waited and waited and she never brought the rest of my food. She did not check on us one time, and we barely saw her so I didn't really get the chance to tell her I was waiting on food. The people I was with were done, and we were waiting for our check for another 20 minutes so we just got up and got ready to leave, when she finally said 'oh I didn't get you your check?' And I told her no, and that I didn't get the rest of my food. She proceeded to make an excuse that I didn't get it because 'they don't make the eggs up,' whatever that means. Walking in the place smells like the back of a dumpster. There was a coating of grease on the entire floor of the restaurant that as you walk you slip and slide. If the dining area is like this I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. I was with a group so I ate despite my misgivings. When we got our food it was barely warm. The waitress apologized and knocked a few bucks off the bill. Bill was for seventeen and change. I hand the cashier/manager two tens, and a cupon for 20% off the meal and she hands me 52 cents. Then she says she owes me another 1.50 from the other register ???. Then she tells me I can't use the discount from the waitress (the one for the cold food) and the 20%off cupon, and has an attitude to boot ! Finally she gives me the 20% off. Went here after shopping with my daughter's in law. I found hair in my zesty tacos, my daughter in law found hair in her loaded french fries, the red velvet pancake bites were raw inside. They tried to make it right by replacing the items but the pancake bites were the final straw and the manager agreed to pay the bill. During this experience my daughter in law had an asthma attack which she had to run out to the car for her inhaler. Apparently one particular waitress who wasn't ours was staring at us the whole time which made my other daughter in law uncomfortable and she wondered why she continues to stare at us. I could not believe it when that waitress came flying out from behind the counter and said "the reason I am staring at you guys is that you are acting like idiots". I could not believe the nerve after the poor food experience to be treated like that from an employee that has some manager responsibility. I would give no star for this place if I could.
