This Dennys was very disappointing, and not very friendly server's, haven't been back in months.

Talk about a bait-and-switch we ordered from them the first time the food was amazing the salad was incredible I was so excited about that when we re ordered I ordered two of the salad so I could have one for dinner and one for lunch! But what I received was the most hideous thing I've ever had. It had some of the same ingredients but it had some disgusting s*** thrown on it too it was just nasty I gave it to my dogs they wouldn't even eat it read more

Turlock lobby smells like a urinal. Flys everywhere in the eating area. We were sat in the far back corner. Asked for unsweatened iced tea but got sweat tea and told they were out of iced tea only after my son took a sip and mentioned it. "What kind of toast would you like?" Sour dough. "We only have wheat". Then why ask? No iced tea. No sour dough. Asked for half and half and got French Vanilla. Excessive wait for our food on a Tuesday morning. Asked for crispy bacon and got sausage. Pancakes were cold, hard to chew, and were unevenly cooked. The pancakes were the smallest of any Denny's I've ever eaten at. Omelette was stone cold, and, like the pancakes, not typical of Denny's. They put the toppings inside the omelette instead of on top and they were sparse toppings. Is it to much to say they cut the toast uneven 90/10? And still constantly shooing off flys. We asked for hot sauce when our food came and the waitress stopped and had a long friendly conversation with another guest. Was annoying to watch her as much as the flys. Fed up with waiting for coffee refills after our food was served. I got one refill while we ate and only after I had to get the waitress' attention. She decided to stop and have another long friendly conversation with another guest before refilling. Not once did the waitress or anyone ask how everything was. Not once. She was extremely cordial to the other customers and spoke to them all in Spanish. I would advise white families to go to the Denny's in Modesto at 1525 McHenry. Ordered late night around 10:30 pm online, picked up our food and the order was totally wrong. Take out plates are so unorganized, I ordered French test worst I have ever eaten cold and hard they literally throw 4 slices of dry hard bread into a small paper bag, I ordered scrambled eggs regular simple basic and I got what looks like cheese and eggs scrabbles omlet, overall these plates look gross at first impression. read more

I usually don't leave negative feedback but this was probably the worst customer service I have ever had at a restaurant. Our waitress was polite and took our order but then the food came, my son was missing a sausage, he asked the server and her response was "did you drop it"?? Then my wife's food wasn't cooked right, they did take it back but then over cooked it and the rest of the food on the plate was cold. My second sons food was cold in the middle and as if all of that wasn't enough, they also didn't bring the right syrup for our pancakes. After being asked about that, they eventually brought the syrup out but by this time the pancakes were cold. Never came to ask how things were, never refilled our drinks! So when we went to pay and the girl asked "how was everything" we replied "terrible". Her only response was to tell us how much we owed. I have never asked for a manager before but I did this time. Completely revamped! clean, new tables, new environment, delicious juicy burgers, excellent service, all around worth another chance!! Our family had also experienced the non-customer service in the past at this Denny's. After going in last week for a quick burger, we realized the restaurant is not the only thing that was remodeled. Service was great, our waitress was super sweet, she brought our food out while it was still steaming. Our drinks were never dry. the price was very reasonable. The place looks great with remodeling. But most importantly the food was super delicious, the burgers were big, fat, juicy and yummy!! We will definitely be going back! read more

As a party of 6, we entered the place and was seated immediately. The waitress took our drink orders and then disappeared for 10 minutes. She finally shows up with our drinks and takes our order. We never saw her again! After about 20 mins I am looking around and I see our order up on a tray under the light. I watch for about 10 minutes as our food sits under the light. Everyone is starting to grumble, so I ask a different waitress if she could bring us our food being that our waitress was MIA! That waitress in a snippy manner explained that our waitress was having a bad day. The manager walks over and they start dispensing our ICE COLD FOOD! The staff is showing attitude toward us and that riles me and the bf. We explain to the manager that we have noticed our food sitting in the window for over 10 minutes. At one point the waitress wants to argue with me about the time our food sat under that light. So far no one has offered up an apology only excuses with an attitude! once we receive our food every one picks at it because, well its cold....finally I have had enough and they brought us our tag. They had discounted our tab $12 off a $70 tab. I took home 50 dollars worth of food to our chickens..I will never bother with this place again!! I don't believe in being ugly no matter what so it was even more tasteless for them to get rude with us when we were staying calm. read more

We came in this morning, they sat us in the back. We were forgotten after that, we had to flag the waitress down several time, we needed silverware, napkings, syrup, refills, toast, forgotten sausage. They not once checked on us, finally on the last flag down it was the manager and my husband told her of the bad service. She seemed upset that we told her. Even the girl sitting next to us was getting the same service, no silverware ect. NEVER AGAIN. Nice waitress and host. Decent food. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Even though the waitresses were nice, the manager had such a stinky attitude, it's easy to see why the waitresses need more training, the tables were sticky, and of course, our orders were wrong. Incompetence starts at the top, so I blame the manager. Slow service, simple orders were wrong, and they forgot to bring us our drinks. When we finally got our drinks, one of our cups had a LIPSTICK stain on it. I politely pointed it out to a passing waiter (which I found out later was the actual manager), he gave a casual "ok" and then took the drink but never returned. Finally went to pay and were IGNORED at the register for 2 minutes (at least 3 staff members made eye contact, one of which came to the register, got something, and left). I put money on the counter and turned to leave when finally someone acknowledged us. There were only 4 tables with customers, like 12 people MAX in the entire restaurant. Went there on Veterans Day. We did not get good service, I had to ask another waitress several times for help. Our waiter was not paying attention to our table. Then upon checkout asked for a tip, incredible. I have heard of them asking for tips, they really need to stop that, if we wanted to give a tip we can on our own accord. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!! Messed up my food... TWICE! And my boyfriends food was drowning in disgusting grease to the point it was falling apart and not edible Ordered a simple chicken burger with BBQ sauce. I got a cheese burger the first time. Second time I got a small chicken breast with no BBQ sauce. While I'm waiting for my food my boyfriend and I notice other food getting sent back so we just asked for the check and left. My boyfriend didn't ask for the manager at the time because he's a nice guy. When we got back to our house he decided to call and just let the manager know of the shitty service and she was RUDE. From what I remember she said "she made a big deal about how she didn't see any food go back and how he should have talked to her in person to figure out the problem and how it's been a good day since he's the only one who has complained" so we decide to go back because now we are pissed because of how the manager talked to him. We went back and asked for the manager and he's sitting in a booth just having a conversation (probably why she didn't see food get sent back) and she again was rude. My boyfriend let her know that we were the ones that called and that she said we can fix it in person and she mumbles under her breath "Well I never said anything about coming back in person so.." then she opens the cash drawer and hands him back his money in a rude way.. So pretty much everything about this place is terrible, kitchen is understaffed, servers are not good, and management is absolutely rude. My elderly father and I go here regularly. The staff has always been friendly, the food is your typical Denny's fare, tasty and a good value. I have to eat gluten free and the menu choices are clearly marked. The gluten free English muffins are excellent. read more

Terrible service! Terrible managment! First of all we didn't get asked how we were doing once had to keep flagging somone down. Asked for a minutes to find what my daughters wanted didn't get anyone back to take our order till I flagged someone down after 10+ minutes later. Seriously only 3 other tables of people btw. Anyway my daughter ordered the mac and cheese which taste like its been sitting so my daughters sitting there raising her hand for attention no one came till I again called out excuse me, asked for a replacement of nuggets instead 10 minutes later I here the manager barely putting it her order. Got her food which was 4 pieces of nuggets. Then when I went to pay seen that I was charged for 3 kids meals I asked why she said because I asked for nuggets I said okay so I'll take the carp mac and cheese but how are you going to charge me for a whole other meal which she responded again because I asked for nuggets so I said well if your not going to take it off then I would like my drink and side to go. I was given seriously 5 grapes and no drink! Oh and when I order one of my kids meal I asked for two sides one grapes and one apples she gave her a side dish of grapes and threw 4 apple slices on top and charged me for two individual sides! Will never go here again. I thought after 5 years would have better service then when I went then asked for a cheeseburger was given a burger with no cheese and when I asked for a burger with cheese I was brought back the same burger in one plate and a slice if cold chews on a other! read more

If you are on highway 99 don't stop at this location.! My wife and I received bad customer service. Then we were the only ones there and the food still took about 25-30min, when the food finally came out we saw it sit there and waited for our server Damon who was nowhere to be seen. We were charged the wrong price for the portions we received and We should know since my wife is a Denny's server herself. No one from the staff seemed to care for the customer, Damon checked on us twice which only made the experience even less satisfying. When we were done we got up ourselves and asked for our tab.
