So passing threw while traveling late in the evening we decided to stop in. The place was dead only 3 people eating in the establishment so we figured what could go wrong!! Well food was cold my steak omelette was burnt and i requested cheese on top and they forgot the whole place ran out of jelly and hot sauce the employee that was their didn't even try and make it right just apologized and would walk away attending other not letting new customers know what they were all out of I mean there is a grocery store down the street from there they could have picked up a few things especially jelly. Server Tim was great even though I feel as he was being given most of the tables & was rudely interrupted by a waitress as he was sitting us down & not only there was she rude but also when he was taking our order down was he once again interrupted by this white complected waitress, waitress had no name tag. Manager Oscar needs to do a better job at reprimanding that rude waitress who was rude to manager right in front of us while checking out. Tim did bring our order as we requested. I am guessing by the 2.5 stars Dennys have had challenges with staff. But my experience was 5 stars. Keshia our waitress was amazing. She had a huge section all to herself and did not miss a beat. As I look around all glasses full. As for the food I am super picky about breakfast and today breakfast was perfect. Eggs cooked beautiful, hash browns crispy as they should be. If I could give no stars I would. You Victoria restaurant is absolutely horrible. We went in this morning at about 9:30 and surprisingly it wasn't busy, however your hostess said she would be right back and after 10 minutes of waiting we asked if we could seat ourselves. A busser actually came up and asked if we were ready to pay. We hadn't even sat down yet. When we got to our table it was another 10 or 25 minutes before our waitress walked by and said Oh I didn't see you, after she took orders from other tables that came in after us. We ordered water to drink and said we were ready and she left without taking our order. She served the other tables their drinks and walked right by us again she didn't take our order. We waited a few more minutes then walked out so disappointed in your restaurant. It just seems to get worse than the other local places. We went to iHop and was served right away. I never have high expectations when going into a Denny's. So I was pleasantly surprised to get great service and really great tasting high quality food at this location tonight. Our server was attentive, polite and kept checking on us to make sure everything was taken care of and tasting great! The food was the best I've tasted at a Denny's. Even the sweet tea was great! I a DoorDash order my DoorDash or was actually nice and messaging me back-and-forth because of the restaurants taking so long for my order was longer than expected when I got the food everything was horrible. I don't want to sound like a Karen but it's the truth I had ordered.the super bird mozzarella sticks, and crêpe to super bird. Bread was stale, and old. I believe the turkey was spoiled. It was mold. I was blown away when I walked into Denney's the atmosphere was very inviting hi welcome to Denny's is the first thing you heard and then it just got better after that sat down ordered my food bourbon bacon burger was the best I ever had it was so hot and fresh! Onion rings was crispy and hot I watered it down with a chocolate shake yeah it was so nice and thick. The manager Cody was the best he went around table touching sat down with you and he made you feel like you're at home. This is gonna cover two separate trips! First time: I hadn't been to a Denny's in years! This location looks very nice on the inside, everything really clean, and modern looking, comfy seating, secluded areas where you can't be bothered by crowds, and good atmosphere. The staff was friendly in helping us, holding doors open at least! The food was amazing. I ordered french toast, with sausage links, scrambled eggs, and hash browns. They did get my order wrong though. The plate was supposed to come with the French toast/bacon strips/sausage links/eggs, and an added side of hash browns, but they forgot the sausage and we still got charged for it. (I didn't realize until we were leaving, but everything they remembered was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing) I had gotten orange juice for my drink, and it tasted funny, not necessarily spoiled or rotten, just, super cheapish tasting. The waitress was just a whatever waitress, not too friendly/kind, but she did her part, so I won't complain. Second time: Today, the staff was just in a miserable mood, they gave the place a bad feeling. Our waitress (not in a uniform, maybe some level of management?) was just not friendly whatsoever. She did get our orders correct though, so there's that, but she brought the ticket way too soon (I had planned on ordering dessert but I said never mind because I felt unwanted there). I ordered a build it yourself plate with buttermilk pancakes (topped with too much butter) sausage links (very soggy feeling, odd texture, okay taste) scrambled eggs (pretty good) and hash browns (greasy this time) and an iced coffee, cold brewed sweetened, and that was the weird part about today's trip, the drink. It had an odd aftertaste! I would sip, fine, but the aftertaste got me. It left the taste similar to a shot of vodka. I thought I was crazy but it seriously tasted like alcohol. The person I was with took the last sip of it to see what I meant, and their conclusion was that it tasted like spoiled milk. Very weird and I'm hoping we were both wrong and I just don't like their iced coffee. I do plan on returning though, much better choice than iHop (iHob?) read more

Our local Denny's in Corpus Christi is much nicer more upbeat and food is of a much higher quality for the chain.
