Absolutely (f*cking terrible) in all ways & if you want food poisoning then sign right up. For starters the waitress (very over weight with black hair, talks a lot) was extremely loud that all the customers inside could hear her being nasty to the other staff and complaining. She sat me and my partner. She was tending to 3 other tables and was moving very slow in between. When she came back with our drinks my hot chocolate had a pound of the hot cocoa mix inside a small mug. Nasty We ordered our appetizers and meals all at once because she was so slow. When she came to the table to do this she complained to us that.other tables were asking for things every time she went to their tables... Uh lady isn't that the point? And maybe if you knew how to tend to your tables properly people wouldn't have to wait 15/20 mins to let you know what they need. Then I ordered my burger with extra cheese. She denied me extra cheese and said 2 slices was enough. WHAT lol!? How are you denying me extra when I ordered it??? I still proceeded to say I wanted extra. You guessed it .. burger came out completely wrong and no extra cheese. But she wouldn't have known because she never came to table to ask if food was okay. Also we ordered the chicken, gravy, biscuits bowl. The eggs were EXTREMELY undercooked there was raw egg all over it. A very satisfying breakfast. I had one of their "slam" breakfasts with 3 scrabbled eggs with cheese, bacon,sausage link, toast and hash browns. The eggs were done perfectly, moist and creamy, and not dried out or browned. This was my first visit to this Dennys and they were quite busy. That should be a good sign of the quality of the food, the prices, and the friendly wait staff. I was very happy with all three. I don't stop in this area very often but for those traveling through on I-81, this is a good l, inexpensive, and apparently popular dining spot. read more

Should've known what to expect by the smell as we walked in. Got seated right away the lady yelled across the seating area to the guy who was our waiter Comes over (seems stoned or something) we tell him sprite for our drinks he brought coke or something so it was corrected then we order 2 bourbon bacon cheeseburgers. I don't usually give chain restaurants a 5 star rating since they are all pretty much the same but my recent experience here on a Saturday night was worth it. Myself and four other friends visited here around 1 a.m. after a night on the town. We ordered a 1/2 order of nachos and wished we ordered the full size! These nachos were delicious! I ordered the slam burger with egg and hash browns on it and that was really good. My boyfriend ordered a huge double burger and loved every bite of it. On a small overnight trip to the Casino decided to stop in here for a quick breakfast..was perfect and probably one of the best "chain" breakfast/dinner places around. When I ordered my lunch around 2pm mind you I was with someone, my meal came out soggy and somewhat bland. My guests meal came out soaked in butter, I told the person take the order back my guest has a butter allergy when the meal came back it was all burned to a crisp. People must be curious at this point in our ever growing collective humanity what binds us together? In the Wyoming valley, not much is the simple answer. As we stay in our turtle like consciousness rejecting change and growth from the safety of a hard shell that has told us everything will flood again and everything we've worked toward will be gone. I'm curious than if Denny's situated nicely on a hill, with an impossible climb from street to parking lot where the jagged road will strip your car of essential parts is where we all meet once again. This Denny's has remained a beacon of hope for late night drinks, bored high schoolers , boomers who's dream have long sense died to dine for a reasonable price in an atmosphere that wants to evoke the comfort of America's past. I wonder if it's the last location in the Wyoming Valley where warmth can be found after 9 PM. Imagine a place with a bustling night life and things to do where this Denny's could not and should not exist. One time my girlfriend, an aloof ginger and I came here and a grizzly waiter said to her "and what are you having, mom?" To which we were confused and delighted. Sometimes we will sneak here on a Tuesday night around 12 AM and indulge in breakfast plates that are nothing astonishing but offer a great deal of comfort for two people trying to navigate a world where there is now something called the Corona virus. I'd come here and smoke cigarettes as a 13 year old which seems insane to me now and probably makes me more susceptible to the coronavirus than others. I went here with a girl after prom. There really is nothing to do here. I hope Denny's continues to survive . It is the Bob Seger of restaurants or as me and my friend Artie call him The Detroit Muscle. Spread it around see if it catches on. At one point in my life i would have assumed dining inside Bob Seger would be unpleasant but now I know... It's the world I want and need. This place is a joke. The booth seats are so worn out that you sit on wood and that's it. The service sucks. The waitress is so damn slow. No name tag but she has a tiny head with big huge fake lashes. She looks ridiculous. She seated us immediately and then took 15 minutes to bring us drinks. We then told her we will place the order because we figured it will take 30 minutes for the idiot to come back. I used to go to Denny's in Allentown years ago it was reasonably priced and clean. Apparently not anymore it was dirty, the food has literally no seasoning I got boneless chicken wings which is an appetizer I paid $10 asked for nothing hot I got Buffalo it was hot. My husband got biscuits and gravy with no flavor and not much gravy scrambled eggs that where just flat eggs. I had a credit card that I wasn't sure would work because it hadn't where I was prior to there I asked her if I could try it and used two cards to pay she didn't know how to do it so we just paid with the one. But that milk shake definitely did not sit well with me. Overall it's an okay place to eat if you're in a hurry and want breakfast something other than burgers or fries. Denny's is one of those less costly and home style like restaurants that majority of people rave over - but you just don't get why. I last ordered their hash browns for delivery, expecting them to be golden browned and greasy just like anyone likes their hash browns. We go there About once a week and our waitress Liz is always exceptional! They are always extra sensitive to the needs of the handicapped. The food is good. But you can't just get 2 eggs and home fries! On occasion I would like something small., not a grand slam. Seniors can't always eat so much... However I understand the delivery process is all new to them due to covid, but i ordered a burger with fries, wings and chocolate chip pancakes with a coke to drink. The burger was delicious but unfortunately the rest was unsatisfactory. The coke was watered down horribly, the wings were cold and way to salty the pancakes barely had chocolate chips and for a burger with fries i was expecting a decent portion of fries but man was i wrong when i opened the box there was about 5-8 fries. The waitresses are friendly and are good at what they do. They are quick to make conversation and willing to chit-chat for a little bit if it's not too busy. The food is enjoyable as well and my family and I, who have gone to this Denny's dozens of times, rarely have any problems with it. Drinks aren't watered down either, Which is a plus imo cause most restaurants have watered down drinks. My only complaint is that there is the (rare but occasional) rudeness and rush when ordering. Aside from that, It's a nice restaurant, Don't see how people can bash it. read more

Keeps getting worse! My friends and I get out of work late, and there are only so many places still open. We have had the okay meals before, & okay service...but tonite was the worst! We all ordered TBone steaks, all medium rare..one was cooked correctly, one was medium, & mine was so done I couldn't eat it...told the waitress. She said she would have them make me a new one. Took 10 min., till it got put in the window for pick up, under these heat lamps...which I watched the clock and it sat 7 more min., in which that steak is cooking more setting under those heaters! The waitress never came back in those 17 min to check on anyone else, refill coffee or nothing! By the time she came back again! With steak, it was drying out and cooking itself! Ugh! She got the manager! I was about to walk out! I told her well, I am thirsty! And 2 steaks were not prepared the way I ordered. I told how long I watched that steak sit under that heat lamp, and how you can't leave a medium rare steak under those heat lamps for 7 min.! She said she understood and would take it off the bill! SHE brought me a coffee!!....And the waitress didn't bring our bill for another 20 min! I have worked in different restaurants...you either need more servers, or cross train someone to run food.. However, that waitress wasn't with it...at least, tonight wasn't her night. Finally a place that can cook breakfast. And agreed to cook my bacon fresh and not give me that pre-cooked garbage. Hashbrowns there were actually brown not white they were too lazy to cook right.
