Tip: Service is stellar. I have driven past this Denny's for many years. Yesterday, I felt the need to grab an early dinner here after work. The two other Denny's that I have frequented in the greater Toronto area are the Mississauga (Courtneypark) and Pickering locations. They were fine, but this one in Woodbridge is amazing in comparison. This eatery is on the south side of Highway 7, in a plaza that's anchored by a Tim Hortons - Wendy's combo store. Wednesday was my first time setting foot in this plaza. I found a parking spot steps away from this Denny's entrance. I backed my car into it and walked in. I was immediately greeted by the sweetest woman. I asked if I could get a table. She said to choose any booth where I'd like to sit. I chose a booth and I sat looking out the window. I got a laminated menu. I leafed through it. My usual order at Denny's when I feel like breakfast for dinner is the following: - French toast slam - Diet Coke I got my Diet Coke. It was cold and yummy. I was so thirsty that I ended up having a couple of refills. My French toast slam consisted of three slices of French toast, sausage, bacon, and two eggs. I got the eggs over-easy, which was how I used to take them before I got into over-medium and scrambled. It didn't take long for my food to arrive on two plates. The proteins were on one plate. The French toast was on the other. I squirted a blob of ketchup next to my sausage links. I like this combination, although I can do without ketchup if I don't have access to any. My slam was excellent. The eggs were perfect. The yolks were runny and yummy. The bacon was crisp. The sausage links were delicious. I am a French toast fan. They were so good, especially with maple syrup on them. This meal hit the spot. My server was incredibly attentive with my drink refills. I asked for the bill once I was done and she didn't hesitate to find the payment machine. I tipped and tapped, letting her know that the food was delicious. She smiled and seemed genuinely happy to hear it. She does remember regulars who come here. I liked her rapport with a man maybe a bit younger than I am who has been going through a lot of health issues. I appreciated her humanness and empathy. I used the washroom before I left. A man with his son came here and sat in the booth next to mine. They visited the washroom twice, which helped me figure out that it was straight back, to the right of the kitchen. We also had Loaded Veggie Omelette, it was good though not exactly as it is pictured in the menu (in the context of "loaded"). Service is warm and good. It is really your average diner that is a good spot for after a night out. The free birthday grand slam is a wonderful deal, but this particular location makes you order a drink in order to get it. We have had better service at other Denny's (and not had to purchase a drink to get our birthday meal). The birthday robot is cute though! Bathrooms need more frequent once-overs. read more

Every single time I come here there is something going on with the staff. Severely understaffed. Weird that they had 3 hosts and only one server. Our servers name I believe was Preet. Very young nice guy but you could tell he was very overwhelmed on a Sunday lunch rush having 10 tables and being alone. The hosts kept seating people and they were waiting a long time for even water. He would let everyone know he would be with them soon but it was hard when his already seated tables were calling for him. Once our food (that was cold Because it was sitting on the line for a while due to preet being busy with his other tables) arrived, it was very hard to get his attention to let him know we wanted coffee refills or creme. This is NOT his fault. Not a single manager was on the floor to help nor did we see a single server at all other than the person who helped him bring out the order. He came to us to ask if we needed anything else as he was going on break. He is allowed in break but ... he had tables? This is how dine and dash happens. This was my third time here and what a mess. We did not like the service. They had a robot with a broken wheel that bought us our food. We were surprised because we had never seen a robot deliver food. This rating is based on my most recent visit here, although I'd been here previously. It's also based on the category of restaurant we're talking about here, so it's not be to compared to breakfasts at The Doctor's House or something. It is what it is and the last visit was excellent. Mostly, I'm basing that on the stellar service we received from all the staff here. Both the host and the server were more than just pleasant - they were warm, funny, and attentive at just the right degree. Whoever did the hiring recently has a real knack for selecting spot-on staff. 3 of us came in for a later in the day, breakfast for dinner birthday meal for hubby. It occurred to me that it was possible he'd be able to get his meal free for that reason. The one thing that was a drawback on this point was that you won't find this advertised on a table placard or sign, and we had to look it up on their website and then confirm with the server. You get your choice of items for a Grand Slam combo. They confirmed it was a valid offer here and just checked his ID to verify. Cool! 2 of us got milkshakes and it's impressive that they serve some of it in your glass servery, and the rest is kept cool and in reserve in a metal container until you're ready to finish it off. Hub stuck with no nonsense vanilla and daughter opted for the peanut butter chocolate. I got tastes of both. Yum!! The pancakes are HUGE, and served with generous amounts of butter. I would downgrade on the quality of the pork products though, because the sausages were quite meh, and the ham also was average at best. They kinda tasted like No Name quality stuff at No Frills. The hash brown/potato pancake is nice and it's part of the reason I like Denny's. Would be better to have sour cream served with them though. Incidentally, our previous visit was similar in that it had been my birthday, so it's too bad we didn't know about the free birthday meal offer then. On the whole, maybe more like a 4 but the service really hit it out of the park. The whole place was clean, the booths are comfy, and the ambience can't be beat considering it's a diner. Love this place..The manager of the place actually checks up on the customers (that's great!). The staffs are super friendly and accommodating to our orders. Lots of parking space around the area. Only small nudge is that they forgot to bring the pancakes we ordered and it was charged on the bill. Luckily, I noticed and they were happy to clear up that problem up. My first time at a Denny's in Canada. Was never a fan of the US restaurants but was with some friends and we all decided to go. And I am glad we did Service was fantastic! I was so impressed how great our server Gioia was. Very attentive. Always asking if we are good (but not too much which was great). And the manager even came over and introduced himself and made sure everything was good. The food was almost perfect too. The eggs were done exactly how I asked (I am picky with how my eggs are cooked - over easy light just enough to cook the white but leave the yolk alone). The ham was actually pretty good. I don't like sausage so I opted for extra bacon which they gave me no hassles to do. The hash brown was really delicious too. The meal was huge. I am a healthy portion eater and I couldn't finish everything. They gave me a take out container no problem as well which was so nice. Where they lost 1 star on my review was because of the bacon. I LOVE bacon (who doesn't right?). Well this is the one thing they need to improve. It was over cooked, hard and dry. It's as if they cooked it all earlier that morning and then just nuked it and over did it. I like my bacon softer but don't mind crispy. Sadly no one at our table of 5 ate the bacon. Imagine that! We all tried a bite and left it on our plates. It was completely inedible. But the pancakes were really great and soft and moist. I loved them. Couldn't finish eating them so we took so many home to finish later haha One person ordered the veggie fry. And it was amazing! Egg whites with spinach on top of veggies. It was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend it if it's your thing. Two kids had milkshakes. The tre lecce one was too sweet and powdery for me. The chocolate and peanut butter was great. Regardless the kids finished them no problem and enjoyed. The coffee was to be desired however. This also contributed to the loss of a star. Was a bit stale. Asked for another cup and she told me it was freshly brewed. I was happy about that but it still tasted stale. I don't think it's old coffee. They go through a lot for sure as the place was busy. I just think it's a low grade coffee. Dennys needs to up their game in this space. As for the price, it was okay. There are cheaper breakfast places around but not by much. Would I go back? YES! By far the best experience at Denny's I have ever had. The bathroom at this establishment ATTACKED me So apparently enviromental extremists have installed motion sensors into EVERYTHING within the restrooms from here on out. From the toilet to the hand dryer all i could see was blinking red lights EVERYWHERE. I FELT LIKE WILL SMITH IN I-ROBOT. I walk into the bathroom to instantly be introduced to the toilet, sink, and hand dryer which all went off at the same exact time. HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN? How am i expected to deposit my digested solids if Im frightened for my life?? I walk into the nearest stall to the exit (in case im in need of a quick escape) and begin my experience by coating the toilet seat with 50 squares of 1-ply toilet paper. And as I lay my crafted masterpiece onto the disgusting seat...DOESNT THE TOILET DECIDE TO FLUSH and EAT my artwork!? I HAVENT EVEN BEGUN. And On my second attempt, I got close enough to starting my defacation until ONCE AGAIN the toilet decided to say hello once more. BUT THIS TIME I WAS ALREADY SITTING. NOW i dont know what type of high powered ENGINE denny's makes their toilets with... Went for the first time to Denny's and man were we in for a pleasant surprise. My friend has a double vegetarian cheese burger while i had an All American slam with buttermilk pancakes a slice of pecan pie and hot chocolate. For starters a mix of mozzarella cheesesticks seasoned french fries and cheese quesadillas were more than enough. The servers were kind and informative. Newly opened, they've got a few kinks to work out..but it'll get there. Our server Shanique was great...attentive, friendly...offered refill on tea (which never happens)...very pleasant. My blueberry pancakes weren't cooked thoroughly...still raw batter in the middle (where most of the blueberries were). I'll cut them some slack because it's newly opened...but I've stopped going to other places because of this issue. Hash browns are excellent. Sausage wasnt greasy at all. My dining companion ordered an omelette...said it was stuffed with peppers, cheese, onions...perfectly cooked. Restaurant was spotless. Manager came by to see how we were doing. Located in a shopping complex with great parking surrounded by other dining options such as Tim Hortons, Subway and Akita Sushi. Food was delicious and well prepared with large portions. However with 2 other diners in the entire restaurant our food took awkwardly long. Our waitress who happened to be the Manager whose name was Zenia fell short in many areas. Our coffee was served warm not hot to begin. Next, for the second time at this location, a gift card that was given to us with $100 on it was denied. The first time the card was used we were told it was no good. We went back to the original location where it was bought and checked and they said it was fine and the balance was $100. To make sure it was good, we purchased something small we didn't want just to make sure it was working at the original location. With a balance of now $85.44 we left. At this specific location again last night we were told our card was no good. After further inquiring and watching the waitress/manager attempt to use the POS system she said it wasn't good. It appeared she didn't know how to use the POS system. She pretended to call up the customer service center and told us it was closed for the holiday. We paid with a Debit card. I asked her if I didn't have any other form of payment(no cash or card) how would have this situation been handled. She pointed to the ATM and shrugged her shoulders..how would that helped if I didn't have NO other form of payment. We left, in my car outside I called the number on the back of the gift card and checked the balance. To my shock, the phone number worked and said I had a balance on my gift card. I went back in to the restaurant where the manager was on the phone with the "owner" who was telling her how to use the POS system. It worked and the cards balance appeared. She was very unprofessional, rude, incompetent and lacked basic managerial skills. No apology was given. No comp'd food/ meal. I wasted my time, gas, and energy behind this establishment and will NEVER dine at any Denny's again. They sell you gift cards and claim they don't work and lie when asked to check. She clearly did not know how to use the POS and was caught when the "Owner" instructed her how. Advice to owners: train management PROPERLY. Do not hire or promote unqualified people. read more

Honestly out of all the Denny's in the GTA this one was the absolute best. I'm writing this review after visiting 3 times and getting the same excellent service all three times. The last visit was the most special, we went on Eid our religious holiday with a very big group. We were served personally by the owner/manager Jeffery - that meant a lot. He seen that his staff was busy and decided to jump on the floor himself, to serve a table of 13 - with a lot of requests and handled it amazing . This is a newer location, and there are often coupons available. That notwithstanding, the serving staff are attentive and sincere and genuine, and each time we have been there, they are always checking up on us without intruding. Its probably been a few months, and a bunch of us post-boomers will probably schedule at least a couple of Sunday morning breakfast get-togethers. Not too crowded either. read more

Long Red Eye flight. It was easy to find and navigate. Pretty empty at 6:30am but the food was fast and just perfect for a breakfast. Chicken fried steak and eggs. Would recommend. I attended at this location earlier this year with my boys and it was the best experience I have ever had out with them because of this location. We were served by Gusimran who was so warm and intuitive. My boys absolutely love him and are dying to visit him again. Our food was fantastic.
