Food~it was piping hot and, we absolutely enjoyed our pizza. Pizza sauce was too die for, all the toppings were fresh, with the right amount of cheese pull and, the dough was cooked just right. Service~Family Own Pizza Parlor and, it was 3 very polite and humble gentleman working in the back. We originally ordered it to go but, once it came out we decided to eat most of it there. They continued to make sure we had everything we needed w/ a smile (some small talk). Ambiance~it's laid back and, it was really cool inside. It's plenty of seating and, it's have private parking but, it's one other establishment next door. Great pizza! As a former Riverdale grade school kid, we got this once a week at school and eating Deno's as an adult takes me right back to lunch in the gym. Great casual place to meet up with the kids. We had several families around 20 people total. Such fantastic pizza, staff are very friendly and welcoming and the kids had fun with the arcade games. I ordered calzone (not pictured) which was SO yummy- highly recommend. My kids crushed the 10 piece breadsticks and cheese pizza. We had a great time and we would visit again. Great staff, super friendly and good prices. Had a large pizza and large Caesar salad. It was a family size salad supposed to be serving four people. Two of us shared it and it was barely enough for two. But it was very good, love the dressing. The pizza was just ok. The crust was kind of chewy in a flavorful way like a soft pretzel, not toasty like you expect from a NY style crust. Tasted like there was sugar added to the dough. The cheese was good. read more

On Thursday one of my Co-workers had a (early) birthday surprise our manager bought pizza for everyone. Super nice. I happened to do a YELP search for Lake Oswego. I wasn't (and still aren't) that familiar with the pizza selection in that area, but Deno's looked like a good choice. My choice was accepted and the order was placed. Sadly we received the pies about 12:30 and lunch wasn't until 1:30. Pies sat in the back for a while but even after a quick warm up in the microwave it still tasted pretty good. Deno's has been a go-to spot for our family since our now high school kids were in preschool. Everything is fresh and we enjoy the variety of pizza options. The thing I often find myself craving, though, is their Caesar salad with chicken added. I don't know what the secret is to their chicken, but it's sooooo good, and their dressing is homemade. Deno's has been a part of the Lake Oswego community for a long time; they support our schools and other important causes, including their Christmas "Angel Tree" in support of the Transitional School of Portland. read more

I ate my Deno's leftovers for lunch today and was very happy about it. The Alfredo Combo Pizza is soo good! I love the zucchini and artichoke hearts. The chicken is also really good quality, which I don't always find with pizzas. It's pricey for a 10" pizza ($18), but they really pack on the toppings and the flavor is spot on. This was our first time at this location. All criticisms are constructive in nature. First off the positives. The pizza crust is the most Tender crust that I have ever encountered. The Toppings are all fresh. The service is friendly. And now, the Not so positives. I like to build my own pizza. There is no list of toppings available to do so. We had to ask for Utensils to go with our plates, the wife had a soft drink from the cooler and had to ask for ice, and a glass to put it in.. Deno's is an LO staple and we used to order there when I was a kid (1997?) and do now that I'm 35 with kids. There are good pizza places in LO but Deno's always serves up a pizza that everyone loves and the people working there (who I'm pretty sure are all high schoolers?) are always nice and try to help. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Cashier/"manager" was rude and aggressive. After a discrepancy between the closing time I was quoted on phone by his staff and what he reported to be his closing time (a difference of only 15 minutes), he became rude and aggressive, slamming the receipt and pen down in my face. He proceeded to "stare me down," visibly angry and irritated. The other staff were polite and unaffected. Both of my small children noticed the behavior as well, and were scared. This was totally unacceptable, and I will never be back. I will also warn my friends, particularly those with children, to avoid this business. read more

Local neighborhood spot for pizza. We can really only eat gluten free and dairy free due to allergies, and were pleasantly surprised to find this place in walking distance to us. I also liked how we were able to do half combo / half Hawaiian. However, it definitely is quite pricey for gluten free (I think an extra $6-7) for what you're purchasing..but do keep in mind the fresh, quality ingredients, plus the crust also tasted like it was homemade aka the real deal. Had Deno's pizza for the first time two nights ago. My brother recommended it and commented on how good the crust was. He was right. Since we needed three XLs by a specific time, I drove in to order and wait, not being familiar with Deno's process. I was greeted by a pleasant lady that was quick to take my order and suggested we move on it right away since they had a 26 pizza order to do. Turned out to be good advice. The space is not particularly large, but it's clean, pleasant, the seating is comfortable and there was a nice aroma coming out of the kitchen. My order consisted of a meat lovers, a Canadian bacon and pineapple, and a half and half of those same types. All with extra cheese and sauce. I did ask about the crust and whether it was thin. I was told it's hand-tossed, of a medium thickness and could be thinner but wasn't recommended for the meat-lover's due to topping weight. That got my attention and I again took the good advice. The order came out in record time - much sooner than I anticipated. By the time I got them home everybody was ready to eat and there wasn't much left a half hour later. All told, a good experience and great pizza which is why I'm scoring this review 5 stars. I recommend Deno's and will go back next time I'm jonesing for pizza. read more

I'll admit I was skeptical because the reviews were all over the place - from fantastic to eww. And you've have to actually "read" the reviews to get what I'm saying. Nevertheless, I was desperate for a new pizza joint so we gave it a shot. So glad we did - this is now one of my top 2 favorite places now. Let's start with the bad: ok it's not even that bad. The service I got from the one person I spoke to (he had a cast on so was really just running the register) was pretty great - he was super friendly and even apologized for my order being like 5 mins late, which is not even a big deal. It just looked like everyone behind the counter was super young, so I can see where the service could go awry. I must have been there on a good night cause all went well for me. And now the good: the pizza was freakin great. All the rave reviews about the crust were spot on - tasted fresh and handmade. Not too thick around the edges and perfectly crisp. We got the veggie gourmet with sausage, loved the different toppings that again tasted fresh. Kids got a small sausage and olive pizza which they devoured. Also glad to see their small pizza wasn't puny, it was perfect for 2 kids to share. We ordered (online) just before 5pm on a Friday night and it was ready in about an hour. I went for pickup not knowing what to expect delivery-wise, but definitely be wary of parking. I was able to nab the only "pickup" parking spot, but there was no other parking spots left in the lot, mostly due to the restaurant next door which was crazy packed. My wife ordered a pizza via phone around 7pm on a Thursday for delivery. Told it would be 45 to 60 minutes. Around 8:30 decided to call and ask when it would arrive. No answer after multiple calls, turns out they close at 8 even though the website says 9. Left a message but haven't heard back after a few days. Thankfully my money was refunded that night when I checked my bank app. I'm sure the only reason they returned my money is so they wouldn't have to hear from me. A call would have been nice so I wasn't having to scrounge for food at 9pm. At the time was in the middle of a block of 12hr shifts at the hospital and have an infant at home that doesn't like to sleep. If I wrote this review that evening it would not be nearly this kind. We decided to give Deno's Pizzeria a try due to the rave reviews on Yelp, plus they delivered to our area for $2.99 through Grubhub, which wasn't so bad. We were feeling particularly lazy on this Sunday afternoon and didn't feel like leaving the house so $2.99 is a small price to pay for the convenience. We ordered the large Italiano pizza with mushrooms. The toppings were fresh tasting, but the crust was a bit too soft to hold all that cheese and toppings. Hubby said one slice he had the crust tasted undercooked -- eeeeeew! It's too bad really because to have a good pizza, you gotta start with a good crust, no matter how fresh your toppings are. Delivery was speedy as we got our pie in less than 45 minutes. But then that's a good reflection on Grubhub, not Deno's. I live in Tigard down by King City. I've decided to look for a new pizza place and found Deno's Pizzeria. I've been buying their pizzas for almost a year every Friday night. A medium half pepperoni with sausage in one side. And Canadian bacon, sausage, black olives and mushroom's. The medium is just a little too big for me, so I decided to make a switch to a small pizza. I called and spoke to a woman who basically told me "no". I always drive there and pick it up. She told me there were "too many items on it and it would make it difficult for THEM to cut". Really? I picked up the phone and called around Table just down the street and asked for the same pizza. "No problem!" The woman at Round Table said. And Roundtable only charged me $8.79 for the pizza. Deno's was charging me $28.60 for a medium? And last week when I picked up my pizza and got home. I opened the lid to find the Canadian bacon sitting in a pile in the middle of the pizza. I said nothing to them about it. Just let it go. And speaking of go. I suggest if you want a pizza you go somewhere else other than Deno's Pizzeria in Lake Oswego! And on top of all of this, I go in happy , smiling always leave a nice tip. And you can't even get a smile or a thank you from them. See ya or should I say adios Deno's!
