He never asked about what had happened or what I had been told by the office, but just seemed focused on money (as another yelp review states below) and stated that my insurance was "weird" and "difficult" and that they had "lost money" on my like 3-minute cavity check). You need to realize that the office is in a position of power and please be respectful to everyone. A few months I called and was told that they would check on a cavity as part of my next cleaning at no additional charge (because it would take 10 seconds) and they were nice enough to move up my appointment. When I showed up for my appointment, they said they didn't have time for a cleaning and they checked inside my mouth for about 4-6 seconds and said everything was fine. I confirmed before (over the phone and in person) that it would be complementary (because it would take 10 seconds). They then charged me and billed my insurance for a full exam. The reason for this review is that the office has been frustrating and very needlessly time-consuming to work with; in addition to the phone call, on at least 4 different occasions I was told something would happen (we will call you later today of by tomorrow; we will email you in the next few hours) and nothing was done. Emails weren't sent with names in the signature so I was never sure who I was emailing with. In the future, just say "We're sorry this happened. You were told it would be a cleaning but instead we made a mistake with the schedule and we apologize for this. Good news is at we were able to do a 15-second check on your cavity we installed, and because this was only 15 seconds and because you were misled into thinking that it would be a complementary part of a cleaning, we won't be charging you or your insurance for those 15 seconds." All the dentists and orthodontists I had growing up, would check on a cavity that they installed for free if it took 5-10 seconds. If they saw something that looked more alarming we would go from there and possibly book a longer exam in the future. I may delete this review in the future, and wish everyone the best with no hard feelings. Goodbye.

The staff is absolutely amazing. They're all very sweet and understanding of your concerns. Everyone will go out of their way to calmly explain to you everything, from the procedures to even helping ease your anxiety and concerns. I only had a cleaning to day (and a very deep one as I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time) and I can confidently say that, even though it was a rough cleaning, I enjoyed it! It sounds weird but it's true! The hot rocks, lavender sheet, and warm pillow really helped comfort me and the music in the background was very relaxing. I really enjoyed my experience here and I never thought I could ever say that about a dentist's office. There is a long waiting list but if you're perseverant and positive, you can get in ahead of schedule! My appointment was supposed to be a year from now but I saw the email they usually send when there's an open spot and quickly replied to their message with my information, which I had typed down on a note in my phone so I could copy paste it quickly on their email message. If you don't do that, odds are someone else will get the appointment. The last time I tried, the appointment was filled within two minutes of having received the email. It's safe to say this office is a popular spot. All in all, amazing place, amazing staff, amazing service! Can't recommend them enough!

Dr. Rosie and all of her team are kind, friendly and will make sure you feel as comfortable as possible, in a usually uncomfortable experience. Dr. Rosie is very thorough and so far I have no complaints, luckily I don't have any kind of dental complications so I'm not sure how getting an appointment might be like if you had some kind of emergency, but I was able to get a couple of fillings done within a week of my initial cleaning appointment when we found the cavities. Heated neck pillow during the exam, and a warm towel to wipe your face after, it's the little things but hey, I'll take them over not having them!

I knew that wasn't true, and I confirmed with my insurance (DentaQuest) that no authorization was required. I filed a grievance and documented everything in case this office tries to bill for a cleaning they never did. No patient should ever be treated differently because of their insurance or the color of their skin. I feel I was treated this way because I have MassHealth/Medicaid, a low-subsidy insurance plan, and because I am a Black woman as if I was ignorant and wouldn't know better. I remained respectful and polite, but I will not return. If you are a person of color and have MassHealth, Medicaid, DentaQuest, any type of state or government insurance, please be cautious. In my experience, this office especially Dr lang will play in your face, deny you proper care, will bill you for services you never received. Patients deserve honesty and equal treatment, no matter their background or insurance.

I under that having to re-explain yourself several times because of language barrier can be FRUSTRATING but again your job is based on offering a good quality CUSTOMER SERVICE. I saw Dr Mark in June 2014 (I'm shamefully tardy writing this review) for a gum graft and he was amazing. Everyone in the office is very sweet, very helpful and puts you right at ease. I was probably the youngest person in the office and feeling a little defensive because of my dental history (eating disorder and then over-vigorous cleansing of the teeth). Dr Mark talked to me like I had a brain and explained to me how they do these long-term studies of dentists and this is the probability of this, etc. I was put totally at ease and I felt like I was informed and also respected as a patient which is tremendous at putting people at ease. The procedure was great (as great as a gum graft could possibly be!). I didn't feel anything, I remember maybe five minutes of it because of the sedatives, I listened to my iPod the entire time, I was totally chilled with the anxiety drugs they gave me to sedate me. Dr Mark is basically an artist, if you can say that about a Periodontist, he has a real gift. After the procedure, I went home and went to sleep for a few hours and then watched a million episodes of "Call the Midwife" and various shows I stocked-up on to watch while I convalesced. I was back at work a day earlier than anticipated and everything healed really nicely. The only thing that was rubbishy was the two weeks of ice cream, pudding, and soft things (it got old after about two days) and oh, not being able to kiss my fiance. :( During my follow-up, Dr Mark told me that there was one other area that he would probably do and if I decided to have it addressed I could just call and set up the graft, no evaluation necessary, because they had it in my record. (This may be helpful sooner than I want it to be! Ugh.) I thought that was so amazing because it really reduces my anxiety levels (waiting, waiting). They also have a "Call List" that is either automatic or they ask you if you want to be on it or you ask, one of those, and essentially Marie told me that pretty much everyone goes in long before their scheduled date. I went in on my actual date because the alternative time for me was my birthday (!). For some perspective, my evaluation was on April 1st, they had an opening on May 2nd. I don't know if that's on average, but I ended-up going in June 20-something because of scheduling issues. Insurance and everything was processed very quickly and everything but a very small portion was covered and I have pretty basic dental insurance through my employer. The office is located within walking distance of the Porter Square T stop. I walked to my evaluation and follow-up appointments (promising myself a quick detour at the local Paper Source if time permitted!) but my future mother-in-law drove me to the actual procedure.
