I went today for a cleaning g and had to stop the hygienist about 3/4 of the way through because he just kept hurting me. He crushed my lips against my teeth with the mirror thing while trying to get at my back teeth. My gums haven't bled in years due to a cleaning but today they did. My hair and shirt were all wet because he didn't stop to suction out my mouth when he switched over to the water because I was complaining about him being so rough with the dental tools. There was so much water in my mouth that I gagged causing him to spray that high powered water thing on my lips which felt like they were cut ( they weren't luckily) . The other hygienist that I usually have is not rough like this. This guy needs to go back to school. This appointment.was a reschedule because when I arrived for the original appointment I was.told there would be about an hour wait because the were running late. This is not the first time they were "running late". They apologize but problems always seem to arise. Then I get my patient summary and it says they did this, that and the other thing which is not at all what they did. As I said I stopped the cleaning before it was even done so there wa no topical application, no instructions and the cleaning was not even finished. I mean make up your own mind but beware.

From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a smile from the receptionist. The assistant welcomed me back to the treatment room and made sure I was comfortable. When Dr. Castellini walked into the room, he told me what procedure I would need done and how much it would be. I was unprepared financially to get everything done. Dr. Castellini saw the distress on my face, because let's face it, life is hard, and he worked with me to get at least one thing done today. First time back today, and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. All of the staff are super knowledgeable and you can tell they really do care for their patients. Amy was just as kind in person on the intake. Mal was with me for X-rays and prep and she was out of this world. So caring and personable. She made the entire visit so comfortable. Then there's Dr Kevin. This guy is top tier. He came in, introduced himself, asked me about me and how I was feeling, spent as much time as I needed explaining what needed to happen, asked if I had any other questions, and took care of the tooth, filling, and everything. Things changed after I was given a treatment plan in 2025. I had questions about recommended work and was told to email the owner/Doctor directly. I sent a detailed email but never received a response. At later visits, I continued to be pressured to proceed with the treatment plan even after declining. During one visit, the office manager even asked if I knew what a cavity was, which I found dismissive and insulting. I also noticed they wanted me to come in more frequently than my husband because I had older fillings they wanted to monitor. My previous dentist in New York never required extra visits for this, so I declined and kept my regular six-month schedule. The final straw came in 2026 when I went in for a routine cleaning. I explained I was having another doctor keep up with my fillings, I only wanted a cleaning. Instead, I was told by Amy that I had to get new X-rays first because the doctor could supposedly lose her license otherwise (which is a lie). When I questioned that explanation, I was then told it was because the doctor was new and needed updated X-rays. My previous X-rays were only about a year old, so this didn't make sense to me. Overall, the practice left me feeling like insurance billing and selling additional treatment had become a higher priority than patient care. Every visit involved pressure to accept treatment or orthodontic services, even after repeated refusals. After years of positive experiences with multiple dentists in New York, this was the first office where I felt I couldn't receive a simple cleaning without being pressured into additional procedures. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Flossophy.

I was immediately greeted by Abby and she made check in a breeze she was so incredibly friendly and put me at ease for my initial visit. Dr Ydrach was so kind and engaging and he made me feel like having my tooth pulled was not going to be anything and I had nothing to worry about. P we made my appointment for the end of the week which was surprising because I know this is an extremely busy office and the day of the appointment I was in and out in less than an hour which is crazy considering I was having a molar pulled. Because I don't have an issue with local anesthesia I didn't have to go under so I was fine to go home with pain meds ice and soft food. Within a week I was eating normal again and my stitches dissolved on their own and everything went great. I highly recommend this office they are amazing.

I had my wisdom teeth extracted and had the worst experience ever…read more 1) One side of my face got infected after the extraction despite requesting for antibiotics to circumvent that. He refused to prescribe antibiotics until it actually got infected to the point where I was oozing yellow pus out of the wound. He had to re-excise the area where to this day, years later, it never healed properly and I have scar tissue build up around the area. This led to a permanent dimple/indent on my face. 2) I asked him about a mucocele that developed on my lip (he was the only one who took my insurance at that time and I wanted to know what it was at least). I asked what to do about it and he said, "bite it to pop it." Seriously? That's exactly what NOT to do after I researched. I realize he might've been joking but he offered no medical advice whatsoever. Luckily it went away without surgery but regardless, I would've never went back to him for surgery or anything else anyways. Do yourself a favor and avoid AT ALL COSTS. Even if he's the only one who takes your insurance, do not go to him. In all my experience with him, he's always deflected blame, never took responsibility, apologized, and always acted like he couldn't care less.
