I was going to review it after my…read moreinitial visit, a routine cleaning, but decided to wait until I was having work done, which I started today, a crown replacement. My feelings haven't changed much, and if anything, they've even improved. First of all, the staff are great. Friendly, helpful, informative without lecturing me, and incredible teamwork. They TRULY work as a team and it's obvious they enjoy their work. On my original visit, I had Martine and Dr. Cosby and I was very impressed with both of them - technical AND interpersonal skills are great. Today I had the pleasure of also dealing with Casey (I hope I spelled his name correctly) and he was also just AWESOME. He made me feel comfortable, explained what would be happening along the way, excellent technique in his work (adjusting the temporary crown, air and suction, etc.), and also great interpersonal skills. I mean the same is true of Dr. Cosby and Martine but I wanted to point that out anyway. Dr. Cosby explains things really well and ensures you're comfortable (as does Martine). I mentioned the staff earlier but failed (inadvertently) to include the front desk and billing staff, and that's kind of a big deal. And both sides are also excellent. I love the online forms, I love the appointment reminder texts and emails (the rest of you, would you stop already with the complaints about appointment reminders, because I find them helpful and if you don't like them, just ignore them, don't get all negative) and I loved knowing, for billing, what I'd be expected to pay out of pocket. And I'm very pleased with my costs, too. I mean, nobody really ENJOYS going to the dentist, but Mountainside Dental Care is about as close as you can come to an ideal dental experience. I wasn't originally going to be a patient here because I wasn't unhappy with my previous dental practice, but my wife came here first and she liked her experience and now I know why. Didn't realize what I was missing and I plan to remain a customer / patient of Mountanside.

(after the actual implants were placed months ago)...and a permanent bridge for the other two teeth....placed in just a few weeks. These are my FOUR front teeth! Glad I have a great dentist here in Tucson...who made a temporary that fit great! I paid extra to visit this place because they teeth shading when some one is getting anything permanent. These teeth will be in may mouth until I die, so I would like to have a natural smile again! All the staff are SO nice! The office looks like it is transition.....finished but still things in boxes through the door that says "please use other door". lol. We are new patients to this practice, although we are certainly not new to the orthodontic process…read more We previously received orthodontic care from another provider in Tucson, so we have something to compare this experience to. My biggest disappointment with this practice has been the lack of communication and customer service. There is absolutely no communication regarding upcoming appointments--no confirmation texts, phone calls, or emails. On one occasion, we arrived at the appointment time we believed we had scheduled, only to be told that our actual appointment was scheduled for a later time. A simple courtesy reminder or confirmation would have prevented this confusion and inconvenience. The orthodontic services themselves have been average--nothing particularly exceptional or above and beyond what we have experienced elsewhere. I understand that this practice may have a large patient volume, but it often feels as though everything is left entirely up to the patient or parent to keep track of. This is especially disappointing considering that many of the patients are minors who are in school, meaning parents or guardians are ultimately responsible for making sure they get to their appointments on time. In my opinion, basic courtesy communication--such as a reminder text, call, or email--should be the minimum standard of customer service, particularly in a practice where appointments are so important. Overall, we have been disappointed with the level of communication and service. Orthodontic treatment is a significant commitment, and patients and parents should feel that the practice values their time and makes an effort to communicate with them. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience so far.

Where do I begin…read more... Everyone HATES the dentist. And if you say you don't, you're lying. Let's start with the front ladies, the head honcho's, Angela and her team. They're the smiles and faces of Dr. Brei's office. The ladies work with your busy schedule, throw you on a cancellation list to get you in sooner, are fashionable, friendly, and funny! The staff- I'm talking assistants, hygienists, technicians, anyone who is in scrubs is the real deal. I could have three people's hands in my mouth (I know, sounds gross) and be thinking, "Why in the world would they want to do this for a living?" yet, they couldn't be happier and will literally talk about how much they love what they do. I can't chime in so I just nod and say, "Good" Dr. Brei makes going to the dentist feel normal. My 2022 goal is to put me first, which means- I have to face the truth ... I've been putting me OFF which definitely includes the dentist. I could dread the dentist but because of Brei and is his team, I feel as good as one can in the dentist chair. 10 out of 10, you need a dentist- I highly recommend. Also, Delta Dental is out of network so co-insurance is higher but guess what... I'd go to Brei and Co. with insurance or not because a good practice is HARD to come by. Having had extensive procedures in several other parts of the country (including several crowns and an implant that were well done by my previous provider, in San Diego), I was unsure I'd find an office in Tucson that could match the level of expertise I've had elsewhere. Dr. Mitchell made that simple -- he not only has excellent depth in general and aesthetic dentistry but is also just an incredibly nice person. I'm someone who experiences major anxiety in the chair, and I've found Dr. Mitchell's easygoing demeanor a huge relief. I also appreciate that the hygienist is extremely respectful and patient-focused. For instance, I'd had my last bitewings eleven months before, and before my arrival, she had noticed that and double-checked with my insurance to ensure I was eligible, but more important, she also asked me if I would prefer to have them a little early or wait until my next visit. It's completely refreshing to have the staff ask what the patient wants, instead of trying to push services or products. Another major advantage is the office itself -- located on Grant Road (north lane, next door to Black Rock Coffee, just across the street from the Mercedes Benz dealer and slightly west of the post office), the building has ample covered parking, and the interior capitalizes perfectly on stunning views of the Catalinas, with several exam chairs facing straight out to the gorgeous scenery...just another way to feel relaxed and happy in a place dedicated to making you flash your best smile!
