I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Dental Depot. Six months ago, I went in for a routine cleaning and received what I felt was a very poor-quality cleaning. After expressing my concerns, I was told that a temporary hygienist had performed the service and was assured that this was not their regular standard of care. The staff apologized for the inconvenience and specifically told me that for my next appointment I would be scheduled with their in-house hygienist instead of a temporary one. Before my recent appointment, I verified again that I was scheduled with the regular hygienist and was assured that I was. However, when I arrived for my appointment, I discovered that I had once again been assigned to a temporary hygienist. My frustration is not just about the hygienist assignment itself--it's about being repeatedly told one thing and then experiencing something completely different. I rearranged my schedule and took time out of my day based on the promises that were made to me. If Dental Depot could not honor that request, I would have appreciated honest communication rather than assurances that turned out to be untrue. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to lose confidence in the office, and I have decided to take my dental care elsewhere. I am not sure why Dental Depot does not have better reviews. I have an excellent experience there. I went there this week to have my annual x-rays check up, etc. from the moment I walked in. Everyone was wonderful. The hygienist was so informative and educational. The doctor was great even leaving. The checkout gal gave me advice on toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other items I should use to have perfect gloves and Teeth. I loved it. It was great. I highly recommend dental depot. read more

I just went here for an emergency tooth pull with my 4 young children. they did an excellent job and made me feel really comfortable. they were extremely kind to me and my children. i really appreciate everyone there for being so helpful and patient. It can be really hard not having childcare and being in a lot of pain. I don't normally bring them with me for things like this but sometimes we have no other option. This is the only place I've ever seen that charges a large fee with the least qualified people. These people hate there job and deliver poor service. Implants that are supposed to last years last months, braces break, and many other cons you shouldn't experience paying the amount they charge. this place is a joke. read more

He helps with a plan that meets your specific needs. We have spent a lot of time in this office and the entire staff is consistently GREAT! They go over the treatment plan thoroughly so you know what your payment will be before you get the work done. Honestly if I could give a negative review I would because this office is horrible. The lady who took my x rays failed to do put a x ray shield on me. My husband needs a deep cleaning okay I know we have dual ppo insurance so we will have to pay our deductibles for the year since we have not use our insurances this year. They are trying to charge us an out of pocket fee beside our deductibles. I called delta dental and double check to make sure they were not trying to charge me for services that were not covered. FYI I work for a dental insurance company and I went to dental assistant school so I know what I am talking about. They try to tell me that we have to max out the primary before the secondary insurance will cover anything which is incorrect and they charge for a full mouth series x ray when all they did was an pano and 4 bitewings and 2 pa x rays. I hate it when doctors hire people without dental knowledge and don't train them properly because it leaves your patients paying the price. This office needs to do better for their patients I was already upset because they mess up scheduling our first appointment. Where do I begin? I took my daughter here to get her braces. A couple months after she got her braces our insurance changed. I called the office and informed them of the change and even emailed them a copy and when we came in for an appt, they took a copy. Then came the time to remove her braces. They tried to slap me with a $1,600 bill! Come to find out, they have NOT been billing my insurance the whole time and they stated they never got the insurance info from me. I told them I informed them of the change 3 times!! They refused to take off her braces until they sort the insurance issue out and said they will resend the claims. A month later we returned and RATHER than calling me a week or so BEFORE her appt to inform me the insurance denied the claim so I can deal with it they waited until we came to the appt again. Again they said they couldn't take off my daughter's braces and we were at their office for 3 hours trying to resolve this and they were calling my insurance and I was calling them too. It covers $2000 for me and my dependent it covers 50% which is $1000 but instead their billing lady informed me it's only $500. I kept trying to tell her what the insurance told me but they refused to listen. She said she can take $500 off my bill and that's it. They were also submitting the claim using the wrong code and they were given the correct code. The other girl ended up giving the insurance lady attitude as well. I needed them to remove my daughter's braces because she was done and I demanded they remove it. After arguing with the staff and constantly being told, "I can't do anything about it, it's out of my hands, it's your insurance" I gave in because my daughter was leaving out of town for college and needed her braces off so I decided to pay a $1,100 bill. All because their staff neglected to update my daughters insurance after I informed them THREE TIMES!! I had also asked them, up to three times, to remove an old debit card they had on file that they ran monthly and I gave them my new card info and because the front desk obviously didn't listen, I ended being "late on payments" for two months and had to pay a fee. I also made appts with their regular office, not the orthodontist office, but their regular office and when we showed up they couldn't find the appt. I even showed them the two reminder text messages we received. I feel like they just wanted money money money!! They dooped me out of $1,100 because of their negligence and I know I shouldn't have owed that much. I don't think it was fair at all and they made it seem as if it was my fault. Nothing could have prepared me for the unprofessionalism, disrespect, and mistreatment I experienced at the hands of Dr. Arthurs' clinic. I scheduled an initial evaluation after an unfortunate fall, during which I split my chin open, received 10 stitches, and cracked three molars. Initially, Dr. Arthurs and staff seemed overly friendly. However, I found it odd that Dr. Arthurs spent less than five minutes in my appointment. Most of my questions were answered by his conniving assistant (I wish I could remember her name). In summary, I was informed that I needed a tooth extraction, bone graft, and a flipper--all of which had to be paid upfront, as payment plans were not an option in his clinic. I was scared and anxious, as most people are with dental procedures, but I decided to schedule the extraction with him anyway. In the interim, I also consulted another dentist and prosthodontist for second and third opinions. Being a perfectly healthy 31-year-old, I was told that I might not even need a bone graft for a future implant, which would have saved me both time and money. A few days before my extraction, I returned to Dr. Arthurs' office to ask why he felt the bone graft was needed in my case, and overall to seek some reassurance prior to the procedure. After being roomed, multiple staff members assured me that Dr. Arthurs would be out to answer my questions. This was not the case. Instead, they sent his conniving assistant, who answered my questions in an extremely condescending manner. She even tried to argue that my cracked molars were due to decay/cavities rather than my fall (despite the fact that I have never had a cavity in my life). My mistake was mentioning I had gotten a second opinion. When I asked about the bone graft, she responded, "It's your teeth and your mouth; if you don't feel comfortable here, then you can go wherever you want." I was baffled at the level of disrespect and lack of empathy she demonstrated. In the end, I never got to speak with Dr. Arthurs, as promised. Three days prior to the extraction, I called to ask if I would need a driver, only to be told they were DISCHARGING me from the clinic because "the doctor got the impression that I did not inspire trust in him." I was never contacted and told this, and I had already taken time off work. I called the clinic a few times believing this to be a mistake. Twice I was told that Nina, the manager, would get back to me--she never did. I have yet to understand how the doctor came to this conclusion if he never personally spoke to me. This clinic blatantly lied, disrespected, and cheated me because Arthurs ego is completely unchecked. The 2.5 stars he has on Yelp reflects this accurately. I am relieved they spared me the trouble of receiving medical treatment at this clinic because their behavior was outrageously immature and shady. First year having dental insurance and I'm used to paying out of pocket for my yearly dental cleaning. I walked into what I thought was a routine cleaning. I'll be honest it's been 2 years since my last one (not a crime) and my dental history has been clean and responsible. We get inside and I was told that we would start shortly but first we need to fully asses the teeth. Through my own research after the appointment I learned that the technician was actually doing a periodontal charting. This requires the tech to probe between each teeth and measure the size of any pockets. During this periodontal charting (20 min) no water, mouthwash, is used and the probe itself feels sharp. surely poking around causes blood and swelling which is normal of dental appointments but this is where it's weird. Remember at this point my mouth poked and prodded- is swollen, bloody, and no real work had been done nor had I been offered water, mouthwash, or even a chance to spit. The tech stops , gets the accounting girl and 10 minutes later they come back together with my contract to breakdown the cost. Remember this is just a cleaning. The front desk girl told me that the assessment showed i would need a "deep" cleaning and my insurance to cover it would need be broken down into 4 services one quarter of the mouth for each date due. Carmen maybe? She also had a horrible attitude and bedside manor in general seemed reluctant to answer basic questions about insurance/billing insinuating my poor hygiene was to blame for this turnout. The dental techs were great and thorough and not at all responsible for my negative review! My low rating is due to the process itself. The cost break down process seems like a way to bill insurances for more expenses my issue is with how little you are told about how this will go until you are sitting there w a bloody mouth and no water and then they ask you if you want to proceed? Who would want to go home like that I already took the day off for this appointment. By the 4th appointment (45 days after the first) I learned by the tech that they totally overplayed how "bad" the damage was. She said that they may have over charged me and they would be "downgrading" the original diagnosis. I can't believe I agreed to a cleaning that took 45 days lol. The process was just funky for me. Aside from being broke down into 4 quarters this cleaning process was the exact same thing at any other dentist I ever been to and paid cash to get done in one appointment. read more

He was knowledgeable and took time to explain each step of the procedure. He was also thoughtful and caring. He has an incredible ability to ease anxiety. Dr. Chase was efficient and skilled. Dental Depot Ortho lost my Invisalign trays(10/21), after a long break from my end between visits and didn't care, apologize and Corporate didn't care either. Months later, I went to order a night guard. Scanned 2/23, scheduled delivery 3/14. Arrived 3/14 and they were not in. Went to Corporate on 3/14 as of today, 3/30, no one from Corporate responds. Now, they are telling me I was scanned on 3/11. No, I was NOT. Too many mistakes, errors, fibs, lack of ownership. No longer recommending. I broke a canine and of course it's got the longest route had to have it extracted. I don't know what the problem was, but whatever they use to numb you out was not working on me! I powered through but it was pretty miserable, the dentist Dr. Ranjbar was very nice but I had to keep getting more or whatever they're using (found out they don't even use novocaine anymore, they don't make it) whatever they're using now is garbage! Got it out put in stitches and today does not hert. Staff was very nice Only three due to the pain read more

Unfortunately I had a pretty awful experience with Dental Depot. I had Dr. Arthurs and he was very nice for the first few times I visited until I had an issue with some work that had been done which resulted in my bottom teeth being crooked and I also acquired a lisp. When I went in the office to get a game plan on what we could do I was told three times I would have to pay an office visit (once over the phone before my visit and twice at the office) and each time I explained I was just being seen to review the work that was done in the past by them as my teeth were crooked and each time they apologized and misunderstood the service until the third time. The manager came in and told me that I would have to pay an office visit and I told her that I didn't have the money and I would just have to not be seen that day. She then told me that she didn't want me to leave unhappy and asked to see my teeth. I showed her and the first thing she said was that they were crooked, and that the office visit would be waived for this. Then Dr. Arthur's came in and asked what I was there for so I told him what the issue was and told him I just wanted a game plan for getting my teeth straight and getting rid of the lisp that was created with the gap I had from how crooked they were. He then said "if you don't like the work that's being done here you don't have to come back." Before this point and even after I wasn't rude, I didn't snap at anyone. I just simply told them I didn't have the money to pay an office visit and I just needed a game plan on how I could get my teeth back to straight like they were before I came in and wanted my lisp to go away that I also didn't have before I got the work done. He then said that the issue was not due to the work that he had done and that the tooth he had worked on wasn't the issue. I tried to explain that the issue was due to him grinding down the other teeth that work wasn't done on to try and fix the crookedness originally but he didn't listen and ignored me. After that he had his assistant give me a referral to someone else. I showed pictures and X-rays to another dental office and they advised it was clear that my teeth were altered and shaved down and were crooked which is why I had the lisp. I didn't expect anything for free, I just wanted a game plan, but instead Dr. Arthur's was unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. read more

I found the Office mgt very rude and phony unfortunately the owner is no better I never got anything done properly I was suffering a toothache needed the tooth pulled had to wait for an appointment at another clinic to get the tooth extracted no pain meds or follow up. I consider dental work health care and it should be better than this. The office managers desk is situated with her sitting back to the patients coming in..... which is wrong. I understand the situation is bad because the office mgrs. is not training or holding staff under her supervision accountable for making mistakes. The dentist is responsible for the teeth not managing staff. I had my teeth digitally scanned and after waiting several days they said I was going to have to come back again because first attempt scan was not right I had two people doing the 1st scan still was bad. Don't waste your time coming here. The ortho is unprofessional. They don't keep records of what they've done or appointments that have been booked. During my last appointment 6 weeks ago they changed the bar in my braces and scheduled the appointment 6 weeks out to make new adjustments. I show up today for my appointment and they tell me I was a "no show" for my previous appointment that they made adjustments for. Then the refuse to see me for my appointment because they say they're too busy. Don't get braces here. It's going to be a hassle and you can find better care almost anywhere else. read more

I would never recommend this business to anyone. As a matter of fact I'd warn them not to go here. Besides the owner being quite rude, it appears they are quite incompetent. A new dentist who is having to fix numerous issues done by the bell location as well as this one was shocked at how awful the work was. Please see the bell location as most of my work was done there before being transferred here. By the time I was transferred here most of the work was done e but we were doing an upper denture which never fit right here. I was told it was my mouths anatomy and always a reason that was apparently having a hard anatomy. Well, another dentist sent it in and perfect. First off to do an upper plate is a rough thing, but the owner made it a horrific experience. Every time I asked a question it wasn't happy with something he was awful to me, dismissive, condescending. It was a nightmare. I am still being billed on something I had to have another dentist redo. Their lab after the first adjustment left the gums a mess, multi colored, overlapped in strange ways that are extremely noticeable. The new lab couldn't fix that part as that wasn't something that was fixable. Please see the review at bell road as that's where they sold me on work I didn't need, filed a tooth down so far the cap won't hold and also did a root canal and took so much tooth it's now loose and I have been told I will loose it at some point. I have been going here for a decade. The service has gone downhill a bit over the years, but wasn't terrible until they had to deal with the Pandemic. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, I tried talking to the manager, and I was assured that the issue would be fixed. Yet even after Ducey announced yesterday that all businesses are required to have their employees wear masks, they still seem to think they don't have to have their reception staff masked. Maybe that's a plus for you, maybe that's a huge risk for you, but you have a right to know they are refusing to wear masks before you call and make an appointment. read more

Really bad!! The hygienist and the X-ray girl were wonderful. But the dentists I saw were obviously not Wanting to do the work that I was asking for. I had had many procedures done at this office before and I need to get a couple of them tightened up. I Felt like they did not want to do it. I asked for more crowns and more implants to be done they put me off and told me to see another dentist out of their office. I believe the treatment I got was because I had gotten a little upset about a year ago over a booking that I made and they changed it twice on me. I work and I cannot continue to put my boss off so I can change my appointments. So I believe it was noted in my chart that maybe I was not cooperative enough. I saw a female dentist that didn't feel very sincere with me and I felt like she was trying to push me to do extra dental procedures to make money. I've seen 3 different dentists over the past few years. My favorite is in Tempe but I moved. I will be driving back to him from now on. Anyways, she was the first to mention something about my back molar having a slight indentation that needed to be filled. She also wanted to extract my wisdom teeth on top and even after I told her my two other dentists recommended orthodontist to remove them. I guess my roots are really deep and their a lot of veins. I am so outraged by the lack of communication between this office snd dentists!!! I had a set amount $1,000 so dentist said was fixing three teeth start to finish. By the end of the procedure it was the end of the day so he put a temporary filling or whatever and said next appointment it will be finished. His exact words were I want to take the time to really match the color of your teeth. I show up to second appointment and they take X-rays and tell me they will call with approval. At this point I am lost and so very confused. So the temp fillings fall out 2 days after I left. And they tell me now I can't finish until October. It's now December. So I'm suppose to walk around for 9 months with my front teeth having huge holes in them from the root canal. This is not what I was told. Why on earth would I approve half the job. Knowing it wouldn't be finished. There is a huge mis communication somewhere and it isn't with me! Here is a pic so u can see what I'm suppose to live with for 9 months. Yes my teeth aren't perfect. THIS IS WRONG AND ROBBERY, SOMETHING IS WRONG AND IT NEEDS TO BE FINISHED ASAP . I can't think about anything other than this, I'm going there tomorrow to work this out. Really...you're sending away a patient with 2 infections in her mouth, experiencing "severe pain"...because ...You want to go home early?? Change your career!! Did you all forget the "Hippocratic Oath" you swear in on as a Dentist or Doctor? :FIRST DO NO HARM!! So they tell me to come back on Saturday. I come back on Saturday, they want a $30 co-pay. I don't have it. I have $40 for the rest of the month and need gas and groceries. I tell them, how about I post date a check for May 3, when I get paid from Social Security? "NOPE sorry..we can't do that." I can give you my credit card, but charge it on May 3. "No, that's against our policy." Don't you have "Emergency appointments" were the patient pays nothing at first and is at least seen? "No we don't have those." So...you can't see me at all, because I don't have $30? I just need some antibiotics to clear up these infections...I'm NOT even asking for pain meds! "No, sorry...can you see someone else?" NO, the last dentist (Diana Young in Glendale) traumatized me by wanting to pull EVERY SINGLE UPPER TOOTH...for ONE infection on the #5 rt incisor, for which my tooth infection cleared up and is still healthy and in my mouth!! The 2 young people (one young guy, one young girl) with no idea about customer service, should be retrained..STAT! Apparently THIS dentistry doesn't have FREE "emergency" appointments or COMPASSION or professional ethics for patients with severe mouth pain from infection.! The only way I could understand you not giving me dental care, is IF I presented myself as an unkempt meth addict, missing teeth, bent over from opioid withdrawals and repeatedly BEGGING for pain meds! I am 54 yr old healthy female who ONLY wanted ANTIBIOTICS and NO NONE ZERO Pain medications! I ended up going to my doctor who was absolutely confused and angry as to why a Dentist wouldn't see a patient with 2 severe mouth infections///over a $30 co=pay!! She kept saying..."so, you're telling me they didn't want to see you, knowing you had 2 infections...all because you didn't have $30 co-pay?" Yes, Doctor, that's EXACTLY what I'm telling you!! I reiterated the statement of GREED over Human Health/Life in America!! It's common practice now days...and that's beyond heinous when the Hippocratic Oath stats: FIRST DO NO HARM! After being a patient of Dental Depot for about 5 years, I moved to another city and couldn't visit the friendly place on Greenway that I'd yielded my teeth to for so long. I last saw a new Dental Depot dentist in March of 2023, when visiting Phoenix. I don't remember her name. I was told then that I need two fillings. They sent my records to my new dentist of choice in my new town. Today I went in for that follow up treatment and learned from the new dentist that I have NO cavities, nor do I have any decay...NO need for 2 fillings...no need for 1 filling. "You have grooves in your teeth. There's nothing wrong with them. That's normal. I've studied your records that we rec'd and see nothing. That's why we took the new full panoramic pictures today. I don't need to see you for another year, other than for your next cleaning. Your teeth are great." read more
