I want to describe the experience I had at this dental office on May 6th. I went in to have one of my veneers reattached because it had come off. The procedure itself did not take long. I do not remember the doctor's name, but he was very kind. He explained everything to me clearly and spoke very politely. However, I did feel that the treatment itself was not very gentle. This is my first time using dental services here in the United States, and I noticed a big difference compared to the country I come from. The injection to numb the area felt very rough to me. Also, when they had to place the plastic pieces on both sides to isolate the tooth, the way they handled my face and removed everything felt very forceful and lacking delicacy. Still, the doctor himself was kind in the way he communicated. At the end of the appointment, I needed to make my payment. The doctor's assistant told me in English something like, "I'll bring you to the receptionist," but I misunderstood and thought she meant she would bring the receptionist to me. Since I did not fully understand the phrase, I politely asked, "Sorry, should I stay here?" Her reaction made me feel very uncomfortable. She rolled her eyes and directed me in a very dismissive and rude manner. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, especially because English is not my first language, but I felt disrespected by the way I was treated in that moment. This is a paid service, and patients deserve to be treated with kindness and patience. I would also like to mention that the receptionist who helped me with the payment was extremely kind and professional. My only complaint is regarding the attitude of the assistant who escorted me around noon to 12:30 p.m. on May 8th. I went to Dr Bram and his crew because I had broken a tooth and that held in a plate holding my upper front teeth. The problem was because of the broken tooth, and the shape of it that had to be removed. In addition, other spots that I had missing teeth were also points I wanted to be fixed too. So some had to be removed too I knew they needed this and decided to ask for that work as well. Well I will tell you this- when the teeth were removed. I didn't even know what happened. There was no pain. There was no worrisome pressure when It was done. They said that I might have pain/discomfort and maybe some blood and black and blue later(it wasn't that much blood to begin with when it was all happening. Those are standard things told to patients that have teeth removal- .HOWEVER!! there was no pain I barely felt any pressure at all. Blood was very minimal. Never had any problem with pain, black and blue or they need for any kind of pain medicine anytime afterward as well. It was amazing, if it weren't for the fact that I had the empty spaces I would never know I had them removed. They did an amazing job!! everybody in the office is so really nice, as well and very gracious, knowledgeable, and treat you well. They make you feel welcome. When I. came in for the impressions for it, I was amazed at how they did it!! They used state of the art computer scanning tool and did an electronic 360° recording of my mouth and sent it in. There was no nasty mouthful of some sort of nasty gook that you have to hold in your mouth for a while until the mold is created (this by the way was how the mold from my other plate was made by the other dentist ) later, when the teeth came in and I put them in my mouth. It was like night and day compared to the last plate that I had. These teeth plate fit perfect! absolutely perfect!!... so much better than the last set done by another dentist. They look better as well.( including more realistic looking.). I would never go back to any other dentist and look forward to my continued going to Dr. Bram and his crew!! I wish I could give more like 10 stars. My many many thanks to Dr. Bram and all his highly qualified dentist colleagues, as well as all of the office super specialist for was such an amazing experience at the dentist. read more

This was years ago...Bram wanted to give me epinephrine when I was pregnant. He said I needed scaling bc my gum disease was so bad. I went for a second opinion, and the other dentist found nothing wrong. Bram always said I had a cavity or two and had to laser it off. One time the hygienist claimed I had a cavity, and Bram believed her without even looking at my teeth. I have been going to the 2nd opinion dentist for 15 yrs now, and no cavities at all. When I was going to cancel due to being sick, Bram's office threatened to charge me, even though I recommended numerous patients to this practice. Hopefully the practice improved, but when I went, it was all about what they can charge. read more

Excellent Dr and staff. I had dental implant put in and the staff was amazing , Dr Bram Was very attentive , careful. I highly recommend this practice they are professional clean and very nice . I don't generally write negative reviews unless they are completely deserving. This "doctor" attempted to clean my teeth... A simple cleaning which led to me having to see dental surgeon because I was having pain for a week after this "cleaning". I don't know what he did, but whatever he did caused me great pain which ended up lasting several weeks. Do not go here unless you enjoy pain. read more

Long review here, so strap on. Ok. Here we go: Six years ago on Thanksgiving Day I completely broke my two front teeth, and aside from the torture of watching family members engorge themselves on food I couldn't consume, I was writhing in pain. Coupled with the fact that I was unlucky enough to break my teeth on a holiday, there weren't any dental offices open, and I was forced to endure with my nerves completely exposed. Finally however, I was able to get ahold of a dentist who was a family friend. He had me come in the next day, and he performed two root canals, put two posts and eventually attached two crowns. He did an ok job, although my smile wasn't the same as before, and I wasn't too happy about the color of the final crowns (my surrounding teeth were slightly whiter). About a year and a half later, one of my crowns came off its post. I returned to the same dentist, who just re-cemented it. About a year after that, it came off again, so I returned to him once more and he re-cemented it yet again. A year after that, well... you get the idea. The final straw, however, was a few months ago when the crown came off, but this time, with the post attached! In addition to all this, my gum above the crowns started becoming very dark relative to the light pink next to it. I decided that enough was enough and that it was time to see a cosmetic dentist who could not only fix the job and do it right, but also give me back the smile I had before I broke my teeth. No more wondering and waiting to see which meal my tooth would come off in, or if it was going to come out while I was kissing my girlfriend (how embarrassing that would be). Not wanting to repeat past mistakes and fearing that I would end up with a another sub-par job, I did my homework this time and visited a few cosmetic dentists in the Bayside and Great Neck area, Dr. Bram being one of them. Quite frankly, all of them had nice offices, and all of them had the latest equipment, but hands down, Dr. Bram was the one that made me feel the most comfortable. I felt like there was a certain doctor-patient relationship (which was absent with the other doctors) that put me at ease- I didn't feel like another patient in his schedule, I felt like his friend. Dr. Bram also seemed extremely knowledgeable, and was very transparent with what he intended to do. In addition, he appeared to be exceedingly empathetic, and from what I could tell, honest, which was the last bit that really won me over... It seemed like he genuinely cared about my problem, and wanted to do what he could to help fix it. When I returned for my first appointment, I remember the receptionist telling me that I "made a really great decision", and when he was done after the sixth appointment (yes sixth, because he takes his time to ensure that quality work is done, tailored for your specific dental needs through molding, adjusting, etc.), I realized why. Dr. Bram did a remarkable job on my two front teeth, and my smile came out great. Heck, if I had known my smile was going to come out this nice I just might have knocked my own teeth out on that thanksgiving day. In fact, because I live in the neighborhood, im going to start visiting his dental practice for general dentistry as well (cleanings, etc..). All that being said though, this review wouldn't be complete if I didn't also mention Dr. Bram's assistant, Luisa, who helped him during all procedures. She had a very comforting aura about her as well. At every appointment she repeatedly checked to see if I was comfortable, or if I needed any chair/mouth-suction adjustments. Although I haven't had too much experience with dental assistants, it definitely seemed like she knew quite a bit more than the average dental assistant, maybe it's experience I don't know, but, I digress. Seeing how nervous I was in the beginning about having another botched job, she would also reassure me that everything was going to be ok, which I appreciated. The rest of his office staff, especially Ellen, whom I dealt with when making appointments, were also delightful and very friendly. Lastly (and on a bit of a side note), although I haven't tried it, I was quite surprised to find out that you can get Botox done here too (hence dental and facial wellness center) If you're looking to get any kind of work done on your teeth, no matter how big or small, I don't think you can pick a better dentist than Gary Bram, or his dental expressions. read more

I had four front teeth break when i was eating and I looked in the mirror and panicked. I was bleeding and did not know what to do. It was a Saturday and after making several calls, I found Dr. Baum's office was opened. They immediately told me to come over and never thought I would leave with four beautiful teeth. I could not believe they looked better than my natural teeth and now it is 5 years later and they are still beautiful. Dr. Baum did this in one visit. I was speechless. If you want the best dentist combined with someone who takes such pride in his work, Dr Baum fits the bill. He treats your mouth like a work of art and will create the most beautiful teeth. Cosmetic dentistry combined with the work a regular dentist does, is something that is hard to find and the results are amazing. You will not be disappointed. Had to get my cavities filled on two separate occasions. Nobody does their job better than Dr. Bram. I would never trust another dentist with tedious processes. Second to none, Dr. Bram has outstanding hands. The numbing shots felt like a tickle, and the office is willing/able to accommodate any case scenario. Case in point: I told the assistant that the light above my chair was too bright, to which she responded by bringing me a pair of glasses! Their appointment system is also fantastic. You receive emails and text messages confirming your appointment, and then also reminding you of an existing one. Thank you for the utmost professionalism. read more

I regret seeing Dr. Bram and I also painfully regret not suing him while I hoped my gums would heal back to normal. Several years back I went to Dr. Bram to put caps on my two front teeth. I'm only writing this now, because every so often, I get upset at how my teeth turned out because of my experience with Dr. Bram. To make a really long story shorter, he denied my request to not have my gums "burnt" back and he did it anyway without my permission--RIGHT AFTER ASSURING ME HE WOULD NOT DO IT. It was as if he was trying to surprise me and just get rid of me. I still get extremely angry and depressed at what happened and at how my gums look. I had reached out to him several times only to have him ignore me (it was as if he was scared to confront me, even though I would still be professional myself--Although I would love the chance to knock his teeth out in a charity boxing match). Dr. Bram proved to be dangerous and overtly unethical and unprofessional. I implore anyone to go somewhere else. Why wouldn't this doctor reach out to me?
