I got both new X-rays and a great, highly detailed cleaning all finished within 90 minutes of showing up. The staff was delightfully pleasant and extremely professional. The cleaning itself went great, and it was clear the dentists take pride in being detail oriented and delivering a great result. Overall, this dental office has an aim to provide a great quality service fast, get you in and out with a smile on your face, while also not attempting to overcharge or provide services you don't actually need (an experience I've encountered at previous dental offices). Review for Dental Options North Miami I am sharing my experience to help other patients. Before starting treatment, I informed the doctor that I have a TMJ condition and asked to proceed carefully, even suggesting doing one crown at a time. The doctor recommended placing two crowns during the same visit. Prior to the procedure, the doctor also recommended that I receive Botox treatment in my jaw to help relax the muscles. I followed this recommendation at another office so the procedure could be more comfortable. Despite this, the procedure was extremely difficult and painful. During the crown procedure, there were three assistants working with the doctor, and multiple attempts to place the dental thread caused significant pain. During the process, I was in pain and bleeding, and I had to ask for additional anesthesia because the initial anesthesia was not sufficient. The procedure lasted several hours and was physically and emotionally distressing. After the crowns were placed, I experienced ongoing pain, inflammation, and food getting trapped around the crowns. Because of these issues, I had to return for additional visits. During those follow-ups, two different dentists evaluated my case. One visit was to remove trapped food and treat the area due to concern about infection. Another visit required redoing one of the crowns. This means that beyond the initial procedure, multiple additional providers had to intervene due to complications. I was also later informed--and it was confirmed by another dental office with X-rays--that excess cement had been left around both crowns, which required additional care and raised concerns about the quality of the work. When I developed inflammation and pain again, I contacted the office by phone and email asking for guidance on how to manage the situation (including how to clean the area safely), but I did not receive any response. Before the procedure, my TMJ symptoms were controlled after the Botox treatment. However, after this dental work, my condition worsened significantly. I also repeatedly requested my full dental records, including treatment notes and a complete summary. I was told another dental office needed to request them and that additional forms were required, causing delays. Even after a release was provided, the records I received were incomplete and missing important details about the complications and my condition. This is especially concerning because I now need evaluation by a TMJ specialist, and complete and accurate records are essential for my care. Patients should be aware that they have the right under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) to access their dental records. If records are not properly provided, concerns can be raised with the Florida Board of Dentistry or the Florida Department of Health. I hope the office improves its patient care, coordination, and transparency. After the procedure, I experienced complications despite informing the provider of my TMJ (TMD) condition beforehand. My symptoms worsened following treatment. I was then provided with a referral for oral and maxillofacial surgical evaluation (TMJ exam/surgery), rather than a resolution of the issues caused by the procedure. Update: After posting this review, the office responded publicly asking me to contact them. However, I had already contacted the office multiple times by phone and email while I was experiencing pain and inflammation and did not receive any response or guidance. I am FED UP with this office. I have been trying to get an implant done, and it took about 1 MONTH for them to get their affairs in order. First I went in and they recommended a bridge due to my case. I said fine. Then, they scheduled me (and rescheduled me) several times JUST to get that done, to the point where I DON'T HAVE ANYMORE SICK LEAVE FOR WORK. Then I finally received my bridge, and within 2 WEEKS it falls off. Keep in mind bridges are meant to last 10 YEARS. This process has dragged on for two months, and I'm still fighting to get my money back. Fortunately, I can check the status of my claims on my insurance website. I saw that the claim was completed and approved, so I called the dental office. Carlos then told me, "I haven't received a check from your insurance yet," which I knew was false. My insurance confirmed that the payment was sent out a month ago and had already been cleared. The constant lying, back and forth, and lack of accountability is infuriating. I have never gotten a tooth pulled out & my experience here couldn't have been worse. Instead of being treated like a human, I felt like just a transaction. My ortho surgeon Brigitt Corredor barely spoke to me, only to tell me what to do with my mouth. Neither the assistant. They weren't on the same page with whether I had cavities or not. I wasn't thoroughly walked through with the process & after the procedure there was not much said or instructions given. I wasn't instructed on what to do with the gauze I was given. No proper after care instructions but just a paper. I was so traumatized I had a breakdown after in my car. Not only is getting a tooth pulled out traumatic but to be treated like a transaction made it worse. I had to contact a dental hygienist that I happen to know for instructions along with google. I was given the consent/liability form after getting my teeth pulled. I am so disappointed as this has been the only dental office that I have been to. This experience was truly horrific. Then after I signed I had second thoughts and called my insurance company and they confirmed they do pay for the treatment all I have to pay is a copay. You will pay whatever deductible you have on your initial visit then, when you go back it always oh you need to pay more, on many occasions I have had this happen to me. Beware! This company displays the worst in for-profit medicine. It puts profits above people, money above dental health. I went there and had an exam and cleaning that went well-enough, despite the high pressure sales tactics for treatments. But my wife's situation was worse. She went there for a checkup and cleaning. Because she refused the recommended deep cleaning at over $900 and a crown for another $900, they refused to provide her with the cleaning that her insurance would cover. From the point of view of dental health, this makes no sense. A basic cleaning (which would be covered by the insurance) would do some good and no harm. Why then refuse to provide the minimal (covered) care because a patient refuses the maximal care offer? The answer of course is that the tactic will get a critical mass of people to purchase the more expensive treatment. They went on to tell us that the insurance company would not pay for any treatment if the doctor had recommended the deeper cleaning. Since this was very counter-intuitive to us, we called the insurance company. They informed us that what the dental business had told us is incorrect. Location. Cleanliness. Friendliness. Availability. Honesty. These are just a few words to describe my overall experience at Dental Options. Sure, no one really 'likes' going to the dentist or a doctor, typically, however, when the bedside manner and over experience is pleasant, I do not mind as much. My first visit was interesting in that as a new patient I went through the ringer a little bit. X-Rays were taken, a visit from the head dentist himself, which yielded not so pleasant reactions from myself, but a very nice cleaning from the hygienist. I am very picky you must know when it comes to a good teeth cleaning. My second visit was spot on. I was getting married just a couple days later and so I had planned it out to get a nice cleaning. My teeth looked great, and as importantly to me, the pain was very minimal. The hygienist was calm and caring, and yet still cleaned my teeth very quickly and efficiently. I will be happy to go back the young lady who worked on me in the future. The building is a multi-plex and so they have valet for those interested, or plenty of self-parking out in front. A short walk in and up the elevator and you are there very quickly. I think one of the best selling points for me also is the late appointments at least once a week they offer. I typically go on a Wednesday and do not have to take off time from work. A huge win for me. Overall, a great cleaning and they take my insurance, so I am a happy camper. read more

Quite the racket running here. I went in for the first time as a new patient for a cleaning. Next thing I know, the dentist is insisting I need a crown when I most certainly do not. But it didn't end there! They did 18 X-rays of my teeth. Never in my 53 years has any dentist taken more than 4-6 X-rays at one time. To boot, dental x-rays are customarily performed every two years; this office was insisting they do x-rays every six months--never mind the unnecessary radiation and cost to the insurance and to myself. After that, they took me to a room where the manager handed me a laundry-list size print out of all the services I "needed". As I was walking out they were telling another patient she needed a crown. So far it's my first Time and I have not yet being serviced by the doctor I selected. The building is not really appealing. There are 2 elevators that you have to wait for a while. The person at the desk, ask me for my name to reconfirm my appointment, I signed the sheet and she told me to take a seat. I wondered why I was not feeling out paperwork right away. 20 minutes later because I got up to ask, the lady sitting at the desk asked me if I completed the online form. I mean what is wrong with people, they do not have their logistics all together. If she was away from the desk and she see that more people signed the sheet, what is logical to do. I was very specific. That my appointment is at 2:00PM, and half out later nothing, still waiting. If I was a walk in I would not care, but an appointment was made, therefore they must respect people time, and specially that they have a policy if you missed an appointment they will charge you because they work very hard to serve, therefore they must respect people appointment, time and energy. I tried using another dentist in Miami Shores, and while they're office was new and their equipment was brand new; they were very expensive and I feel like they were trying to charge me for services that I didn't need. You still need to double check your appointments with respect to what you're getting done as this office is very busy so you'll want to make sure they have all of your correct information when you go in. No other dental office would accept another establishment ex-rays and there is a good reason for that, the ex-ray machine is a cash cow.
