    I LOVE Dr. Katz!
    Kris S.

I'm SO happy to finally be able to smile without feeling shy about it! Thanks so much to Dr. Katz and her AMAZING team. I walked in terrified and left with two new friends. They treated me not only as a patient, but like family! I recommend them 100%!

DR Katz was very gentle with me because I have sensitive gums and I am always anxious about dentist appointment.

This was honestly the worst dental experience I have ever had. I booked what I was told would be a…read moredental exam that included X-rays and a cleaning. The price was very inexpensive, which I was initially excited about, but I really regret not spending more and going somewhere else from the beginning. They started with the hygienist, who did the cleaning and X-rays. The cleaning itself was fine. What shocked me was the "exam." The dentist did not even perform a comprehensive visual examination of my teeth. My gums were never checked at all. The dentist basically asked whether I was having any pain or sensitivity. When I mentioned sensitivity in one particular tooth, she looked at that tooth and told me that a filling was chipping or had an issue, except that tooth has never even had a filling in the area where I was experiencing sensitivity. A treatment plan I was later provided said a different tooth needed a filling in 3 different areas. That was essentially it. My gums weren't thoroughly evaluated. They were not evaluated whatsoever actually. Other dentists probe the gums to check for recession or problems but that was never done here. My teeth weren't individually examined in any meaningful way, and I walked out not even knowing whether I have cavities or the status of the health of my mouth. I have never left a dental exam feeling so confused about the actual condition of my teeth and gums . When I later called because I was unhappy with the exam, they offered to schedule me with a different dentist at another one of their locations, which would have required me to drive approximately 45 minutes. I had actually been here a couple of years ago and remember the experience being somewhat better. I only returned because they sent me a reminder around the same time I happened to need a cleaning. This visit felt extremely rushed and impersonal, almost like an assembly line. Strangely, I felt like the hygienist was evaluating and discussing my teeth more than the dentist was. I now have to make an appointment with an entirely different dental practice and pay again for a comprehensive examination just to find out what's actually going on with my teeth. So the roughly $200 I spent here feels completely wasted, and choosing the cheaper option is ultimately going to cost me considerably more. If you're on a very tight budget and simply need a basic cleaning, this may be an option. But if you're looking for a genuinely thorough dental examination and want to leave understanding the health of your teeth and gums, I absolutely would not recommend this office. I deeply regret not going somewhere else in the first place.

Sher Dental staff is not professional. I left two reviews…read morebefore and someone decided To erase them. What's wrong Ms Sher? You do not allow me a professional in my field to leave a constructive criticism of your dental services? I had a Dentist named Ms Pham who did not do the right procedure for extracting a front tooth. You are suppose to give the patient enough novocaine to numb the area so that there is no pain. Well Ms Pham gave me only two shots of novocaine and it wasn't enough. A few seconds later I screamed and told her I needed more novocaine and I started to sweat and she got my blood pressure so high that the rest of the procedure could not be done. Ms Sher was never told of the big mistake and was a covered up. It is shameless that Ms Sher never tried to reprimand her staff and I had to go somewhere else to another Dentist. Warning: DO NOT ERASE THIS REPORT. I'VE MADE A COPY AND SENT IT TO THE ADA IN TALLAHASSEE, FL

I got both new X-rays and a great, highly detailed cleaning all finished within 90 minutes of showing up. The staff was delightfully pleasant and extremely professional. The cleaning itself went great, and it was clear the dentists take pride in being detail oriented and delivering a great result. Overall, this dental office has an aim to provide a great quality service fast, get you in and out with a smile on your face, while also not attempting to overcharge or provide services you don't actually need (an experience I've encountered at previous dental offices). Their prices appear quite reasonable for patients without dental insurance as well. If anything I think they under-billed me for the level of cleaning they provided as I had not had a cleaning for over 2 years before my visit at Dental Options

Review for Dental Options North Miami…read more I am sharing my experience to help other patients. Before starting treatment, I informed the doctor that I have a TMJ condition and asked to proceed carefully, even suggesting doing one crown at a time. The doctor recommended placing two crowns during the same visit. Prior to the procedure, the doctor also recommended that I receive Botox treatment in my jaw to help relax the muscles. I followed this recommendation at another office so the procedure could be more comfortable. Despite this, the procedure was extremely difficult and painful. During the crown procedure, there were three assistants working with the doctor, and multiple attempts to place the dental thread caused significant pain. During the process, I was in pain and bleeding, and I had to ask for additional anesthesia because the initial anesthesia was not sufficient. The procedure lasted several hours and was physically and emotionally distressing. After the crowns were placed, I experienced ongoing pain, inflammation, and food getting trapped around the crowns. Because of these issues, I had to return for additional visits. During those follow-ups, two different dentists evaluated my case. One visit was to remove trapped food and treat the area due to concern about infection. Another visit required redoing one of the crowns. This means that beyond the initial procedure, multiple additional providers had to intervene due to complications. I was also later informed--and it was confirmed by another dental office with X-rays--that excess cement had been left around both crowns, which required additional care and raised concerns about the quality of the work. When I developed inflammation and pain again, I contacted the office by phone and email asking for guidance on how to manage the situation (including how to clean the area safely), but I did not receive any response. Before the procedure, my TMJ symptoms were controlled after the Botox treatment. However, after this dental work, my condition worsened significantly. I also repeatedly requested my full dental records, including treatment notes and a complete summary. I was told another dental office needed to request them and that additional forms were required, causing delays. Even after a release was provided, the records I received were incomplete and missing important details about the complications and my condition. This is especially concerning because I now need evaluation by a TMJ specialist, and complete and accurate records are essential for my care. Patients should be aware that they have the right under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) to access their dental records. If records are not properly provided, concerns can be raised with the Florida Board of Dentistry or the Florida Department of Health. I hope the office improves its patient care, coordination, and transparency. After the procedure, I experienced complications despite informing the provider of my TMJ (TMD) condition beforehand. My symptoms worsened following treatment. I was then provided with a referral for oral and maxillofacial surgical evaluation (TMJ exam/surgery), rather than a resolution of the issues caused by the procedure. Update: After posting this review, the office responded publicly asking me to contact them. However, I had already contacted the office multiple times by phone and email while I was experiencing pain and inflammation and did not receive any response or guidance. At this point, my main concern remains unchanged. I am requesting my complete and accurate dental records, including all clinical notes and details of the complications I experienced. The records provided so far are incomplete and missing important information needed for my ongoing treatment with a specialist. I hope the office will address this matter by providing full and transparent documentation without further delay.

Over the years, I've had a lot of teeth pulled and a lot of cavities filled. I hated going to the dentist more than the Grinch hated Christmas. One night several years ago I was referred to Dr. Skaff after I cracked a filling eating a chicken sandwich (pronounced: "san'weesh" in Miami) which sent huge amounts of pain into my jaw. This was not pleasurable, I can assure you! Without ever meeting him before, Dr. Skaff met me at his office, during his day off and fixed me up. I've been a loyal patient ever since and tell everyone that there is not a better dentist out there, period. Dr. Skaff (he prefers the less formal "Dr. David" to his patients) and his staff are top notch and I really should put all of them in my last will and testament for putting up with me over the years! So to anyone reading this, this is my referral to you if you ever have a chicken sandwich/filling dilemma on a Saturday evening. Thanks Dr. Skaff!
