I had an accident that chipped both of my front teeth and unfortunately killed the nerves. The first dentist I saw recommended pulling both teeth and replacing them with implants, which felt like a drastic and unnecessary step. Thankfully, I went to Dr. Meserkhani for a second opinion--and I'm so glad I did. He was able to save both teeth with root canals. Dr. Abrishami, the endodontist, performed the root canals, and the experience was surprisingly easy and painless. He's incredibly skilled and also very friendly, which helped me feel at ease right away. Throughout the process, Dr. Arbi Aboolian also worked on my teeth and was just as professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Everyone I interacted with made me feel confident I was in good hands. After the root canals, Dr. Meserkhani placed a crown on one tooth and a veneer on the other. The results are amazing--my front teeth look identical, natural, and beautifully done. Dr. Meserkhani is very detail-oriented, which I really appreciated since I'm quite particular about aesthetics. The staff were also so warm and welcoming. Andrea at the front was awesome. Chill vibes, friendly and welcoming. I had the best teeth cleaning ever. The woman cleaning my teeth thoroughly went through each tooth with great detail. I loved how fresh and clean I felt when I left. A kind man also did my x-rays. Before I left I made my appt 6 months out. Parking is easy. They have a free parking lot and there is also free street parking. I have referred 2 friends here and both of them have been happy with their experience as well. Painful and disappointing experience with Dr. Vahik Meserkhani. After a percedure on June 16th. My jaw became ame completely locked. I could not open my mouth at all. MESERKHANI said it was just a muscle spasm and prescribed muscle relaxers and laser treatments but neither provided any relief. Later, after consulting a TMJ specialist who was away at the time he decided ( Vahik Meserkhani) to numb my face and inject to my TMG trigger point while forcibly trying to open my jaw. The procedure was extremely painful, and pointless, and afterward I developed a huge burn on my face from spray he used to numb my face no other dentist or even dermatologist could identify what caused the burn. I eventually saw a TMJ specialist on July 7th, who prescribed a new muscle relaxer and specific exercises. Even though, the exercises were very painful, I followed them carefully. The specialist told me that if there was no improvement, sedation might be needed to manually open my jaw. Thankfully, after a week I started to see slight progress and with time and patience, I slowly recovered. Overall, I was in pain for nearly three months both from locked jaw and the facial burn. During this time, I asked Meserkhani for a refund so I could continue treatment elsewhere, but he refused. In addition to the physical and emotional pain, i was deeply disappointed by his demeanor. In my experience Meserkhani came across as arrogant, dismissive, and more focused on money than on patient care. He often acted as if he could do no wrong, which made me feel ignored and disrespected. That attitude made an already painful situation much worse. The entire experience left me feeling traumatized and undervalued as a patient. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision before seeking care with this practice and specially with Vahik Mserkhani. I truly hope no one else has to go through what I did. I believe in karma and I'm sure he'll pay it back somehow and somewhere that he won't even realize where is it coming from. read more

I was in a lot of pain and cosmetically looked horrible. I never want to smile. The pain was really effecting my life. Dr. Arbi helped me. Not only he saved my teeth he helped me with my self esteem. I didn't have a great experience at all in this place. The first time I came here was for a cleaning which I waited 2 hours for just so they could tell me the Doctor had back to back procedures and was not able to attend to me. They just took x rays and recommended night guards for which they told me it was 500 dollars. The second time a came they finally did the cleaning and the Doctor who was a Latina Doctor seemed very moody that day and said I have a lot of plaque so she spent a long time scraping it off which was very painful. The next following day I woke up with blood clots coming out of my mouth, mind you BIG BLOOD CLOTS, I had a tonsillectomy which went wrong and almost lost my life due to blood loss,when I expressed my concerned they didn't seem to care and said to come in. They had a dental assistant look at it, I had major swelling. They told me the Doctor was coming from a meeting and was going to take a look. The only thing she did was rinse my mouth which was painful and I asked why was I bleeding and she told me "what do you expect when you had a lot of plaque to scrape off". She didn't give me anything and I asked if I was going to bleed again and she said no and walked away. The dental assistant was more professional and gave me a sample of a mouthwash that helps swellling go down, literally after I left the parking lot I started bleeding again! I went to another dental office and the Doctor was very nice and told me I have a bad gum infection which he gave me antibiotics and a mouth was which help stopped the bleeding. So I'm definitely not coming back to this place, I keep getting calls saying I have an appointment even tho I've told them I'm not coming in anymore and I don't want to be seen, the front office girls always cut me off and hang up. Today I got a text saying thank you for visiting dental studio which I did not!!! So I'm wondering if they are processing claims in my insurance saying a came in??? I received a dental implant on my front tooth #8 from Dr. Vahik Meserkhani at the Los Angeles Dentists Group - Glendale location. I cannot say how pleased I am with the exceptional quality of care (and service) I received from Dr. Meserkhani and his office staff (including Sonia). I would like to share my positive experience as follows: A few weeks ago, my front tooth crown fell off and I was in dire need to see a dental specialist to consult on a possible long-term solution to my missing front tooth. I wanted to find an expert dental implant specialist to whom I could fully entrust my front tooth. {[How I found about Dr. Meserkhani: Upon research, I came across a website (www.aaid-implant.org) for American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), a professional organization that credentials specialists in implant dentistry. I read that to earn AAID credentials, dentists must meet rigorous qualifications demonstrating deep knowledge and critical skills essential to successfully placing implants and replacement teeth. I found out about Dr. Meserkhani through the AAID website. I chose to entrust my front tooth to Dr. Meserkhani, as the AAID website stated he has earned the highest level of credentials by AAID - "ABOI/ID Diplomate" (The American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry Diplomate).]} Sonia was friendly, professional, and helpful in providing me with my first consultation appointment, as well as subsequent visits. One thing I found to be clear was that Dr. Meserkhani loves his work with his patients. My dental implant procedure went successfully (see attached photo of before and after). The implant was placed beautifully and a temporary tooth that looks exactly like my natural teeth, (perhaps even better) was placed that same day, until a permanent tooth is placed in three months. The recovery process post-implant was smooth, no pain and no swelling. I look forward to returning to his office to obtain a permanent tooth in three months. (What I also liked about Dr. Meserkhani's office is that there is a dental laboratory on the same floor across his office.) I recently took my teenage daughter to Dental studios of Pasadena for a check up and cleaning. She was found to have cavities. Dr. Angela was very thorough in her exam explaining what she needed also what to expect. I was very impressed by not only the dentist but also the entire staff from the dental hygienist that removed old residual cement (from when she had braces) from a completely different business (Bright Smile). The work was done very gently and very pleased with the results. I will be taking my daughter back as she will be having her wisdom teeth removed very soon. I wish I could give this place 10x the stars! My husband and I went here after I checked out a few other places. I found them on YELP and the reviews is why I we came here. The first appointment for him was excellent. He had xrays, CT scan and check up for a great price. I mean it was HUNDREDS more elsewhere and it was done for under $100! I even got an exam, xrays and ct scan at an even better price! I wont say the price, but trust me, totally worth it. The equipment is state of the art and they love their toys! Now, my husband needed extensive work. He has been suffering for years and I was watching him stop smiling and his teeth were literally falling out. His confidence went out the window. It was heartbreaking to see my new husband, slowly change... and there was nothing I could do. What was needed was a team of real professionals who care about the person in the chair. And at Dental Studio of Pasadena.. we found that and more! When we went back to talk prices, and timeline. ( we had 3 weeks before our move) Marylou made it clear we need to start ASAP and we did. My husbands butt was in that chair almost 7 hours! SEVEN HOURS!! I was in and out like a partner waiting for a baby to arrive! Never once did they ask me to wait outside.. But instead, they offered me a seat and kept me in the loop. Not one moment did we feel that he was just waiting... They worked on him non stop. Dr Arby and his assistant, Lilly make the best team ever!! Their dynamic was such a pleasure to have as the work was being done. It was a great vibe. Dr. Meserkhani was also great. He made my husband feel comfortable and he knew at the end of the day I wanted my man to look like Anthony Quinn and he was almost able to accomplish that! Dr. Mauricio Fonrodona was so detailed in his work, you can see he made sure to to his best to keep my man out of pain, and he did a damn good job of doing just that! MaryLou, I dont know her title, office manager, finance guru, woman with the best smile and hair ever.. Just know... she will do the best she can to help you get financed. The staff, they are the backbone and make you feel so comfortable here. From the moment we walked in, I felt welcomed and there was never one moment that we didnt feel cared for. I love the connection between everyone there. It is a place I felt actually wanted us to not only look the best we can, but also feel the best we can. Having your teeth not be as nice as they once were is a hard pill to swallow and they gave my husband his confidence and smile back.. and the dimples he had when he used to smile are back too!! Thank you! Now the big questions "How was the price? Are they Expensive??" Must I sell one of my kids or kidneys??!" Maybe. Are you really that attached to them? I mean really? Due to a mis-aligned jaw, my top teeth were in shambles. Several teeth cracked and some missing. Extensive work required. He was able to see me the very next day after calling! The tooth charm was removed without a trace after having been on for 5 years in less than 5 minutes and my teeth look shiny and polished. I have been at this dentist office a few times and happy to say that I have been greeted kindly and friendly everytime I come in. They did not do any work until they showed me what I needed and have given me a detailed cost sheet. They also have told me which would be best to start with and have a plan of attack. I had the WORST experience in this dental clinic. I came here to get a total restoration and it was an absolute disaster. I filled out the new patient papers and I wrote a comment mentioning that before any procedure I had to talk to someone first. I got assigned with Dr. Angela and she told me that she was just going to check a tooth but I didn't think I was going to get local anesthesia when I felt the pinch. I didn't say anything but when she finished I felt a great despair, my heart was pounding like crazy and I got dizzy. It turns out that Dr. Angela had put the WRONG anesthesia on me!!! I have high blood pressure and need a special anesthesia. Dr. Angela failed to review my health history and gave me lidocaine which is the general anesthesia that contains adrenaline. I almost suffered a heart attack. After that I asked for another Dr. to assist me and they passed me over with Dr. Mauricio, well that was another mistake!! He proceeded to do a gum lift on me without my consent and it left me botched with a heavy lisp and trouble speaking. The worst thing is that I still deal with headaches and dizziness since he did that. When I saw myself in the mirror, the color of my new teeth were bleach white (which they chose to their liking), that I hadn't asked for, I just wanted a natural color. Not only that, but they left my teeth squared and bulky looking. Not only that, I can't eat or chew properly because my teeth are so thick. I didn't know that Dr. Mauricio was an endodontist and he was not supposed to be assigned to do teeth outside of his specialty. I left so devastated. I asked them to give me my money back and they refused. I lost 20 thousand dollars to the TRASH!! Please forbid yourself to come to this clinic of scammers and people without professionalism. This clinic doesn't care about customers, they just steal money and don't care about your health or the poor quality work they do. What a shame and trash of an office. Tuve la PEOR experiencia en esta clínica dental. Aquí vine a hacerme una restauración total y fue un desastre. Yo tengo alta presión y me tienen que poner una anestesia especial. La Dra. Angela no leo mis hojas de salud y me puso la anestesista general la que obtiene adrenalina. Casi me da un infarto. Después de eso pedí que me asistiera otro Dr. y me pasaron con Dr.Mauricio, pues eso fue otro error. El me subió la ansia tan arriba sin mi consentimiento que me quedé con problemas de hablar. Lo peor es que ahora sigo con dolores de cabeza y me dan mareos desde que me iso eso. Cuando me vi en el espejo me puso un color de dientes tan blanco a gusto de ellos, que yo no había pedido, yo solo quería un color natural. No solo eso pero me dejaron los dientes boludos y cuadrados tan feos. No solo eso, los dientes no me dejan comer de tan gruesos que están. Yo no sabía que el Dr. Mauricio era edodontista y no tenía porque hacerme dientes afuera de su especialidad. Me fui tan destrozada. I really have to I really have to be moved to write a review! If you are not into reading my full story, I admit, it is a little long, then, for YOU, I will get right to the point! If you need the best dentist team to do it RIGHT the first time.... if you are anxious, like me, and want dentistry with sedation... then give yourself a huge blessing and call Dr. Meserkhani's office! His specialized team will take care of you in a way you have never before experienced. I don't know about you, but I am of the belief that if I'm going to do something, I want to do it right the first time! Especially when it comes to my TEETH! I have learned the hard way. I'm 64 years young, and I have had A LOT of work done on my teeth. For example, a few years ago, I paid thousands of dollars cash for a four-tooth bridge ...only to have it break. Prior to meeting the team at Mr. Meserkhani's office, I went to three other dentists for opinions. I knew I needed a lot of work and the problems I was experiencing had to be done right this time! I had bite issues, old bridges, cracked caps, and pain coming from a couple of teeth! I got used to chewing only on one side and still would feel pain! One of the bridges I had in the front bottom, I had since I was 12 years old! In the past, I have experienced dentists viewing each tooth issue separately, fixing the individual problem tooth (or teeth) without considering the goals of the whole mouth, bite, bone, and ultimately an agreed upon vision. I ended up just putting out fires and subsequently, that came with a mouthful of many different shades of teeth. (oy ) I had made up my mind, I was on the hunt for a dentist who had the specialized training, experience, and caring. I made my consult appointment with Dr. Meserkhani! My first appointment was welcoming, assuring, informative, enlightening, and to say the least, thorough! A full consult! CT scan, thorough check-up, exrays, impressions, pictures, a tour of the office, and oh by the way... a dedicated lab... right next door! Dr. M let me know of all my options, based on my budget. I could do a little, a lot... or somewhere in between! He made it comfortable for me, without any pressure. I met Dr. Aboolian. Affectionately now known as Dr. M and Dr. A! My God! After all my searching, finally, I felt confident in my decision! The work I had done was with Dr. Aboolian, while I continuously had conversations with Dr. M! Each appointment, I continued to experience the consistency of their dedication, kindness, and caring. From the front office staff to the back office, across the board, the hygienist ... OMG! They continuously made me feel heard and cared for. I felt good energy, like a vortex. I have grown to love my Dr. A! He is a MASTER in his field and if you need sedation, he is your guy too! Also, I told him I thought he should do stand-up! He has made me laugh so much!! Just for fun, compliment his ears when you see him! LOL Who would have thought I would actually look forward to my dentist appointments? I also experienced implants for the first time! Amazing! I have attached a picture of Dr. A , Dr. M and me. Maybe it sounds corny but having found Dr. Meserkhani and Dr. Aboolian lets me know that I have truly done something right in my life! My complete bottom (arch) is all done! After I am finished with the top, I will post pics! The thing about this practice of Dr. M's is that it doesn't matter how big or small your issues are, he, along with his talented hand-picked team of professionals will do everything in their power to help. Even if you have bone missing, they can fix that too! In my case, my bone shrunk and Dr. M is able to enlarge it... something this quite a specialty. They are state-of-the-art. If it is a new technology, you will find it at Dr. M's office. Thank God for sedation, and the nitrous! Above all, Dr. A's sense of humor and his velvet voice helps me get through each appointment. My experience of Dr. M, Dr. A, and his wonderful team in Glendale AND Pasadena offices... summed up in one word ... TRUST. They have me for life. I must share ... it was on my second or third time in the office, it was Dr. M's birthday. The whole office sang him happy birthday and it was so obvious how loved he was. I asked him, "Is it hard to take in so much love at once?" He smiled at me, kind of in a beautiful shy way. I remember thinking to myself, that the connection Dr. M has to his staff is quite special. I commented to Sonya (whom I just absolutely adore!) and she said, "We're like a big family here." It really touched me. When you find a good thing, you want to share it with the world! The dental hygienist did a really great job and didn't hurt me one bit, and gave me some helpful information to help me with my gums. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. SCUMBAG SCAMMERS, THEY FARM THEIR PATIENTS I went in for a cleaning, supposed to be covered 100% with my insurance. I got the x-rays done relatively quickly and was finally seen by the dentist. He wants to do a "debridement" which is a deeper cleaning that i do not need. The reason i know is because he said it will help clear my plaque and cavities. I asked if i have any cavities? Because this is a surprise for me, I've never had any. He says no, you dont but you have some plaque. This made me feel immediately uneasy and was Red flag #1 the Dr was trying to over exaggerate my condition and trying to make me feel like my teeth are in bad shape so he can do more work. For this debridement, he wanted $700 but "for me he could do $400". I stated that I ONLY wanted a REGULAR cleaning which is covered by my insurance. They say ok and they'll be right back. THEN THEY RECOMMEND UV LASER treatment, WHICH WAS NOT COVERED AND $1200. I again said NO I JUST WANT A CLEANING. Then they leave me in the chair for about an hour. THEY COME BACK AND STILL ARE ASKING ME ABOUT DEBRIDEMENT AND UV LASER. I said no again and asked how long i have to wait for this regular cleaning, because now its been 1.5 hours of me waiting. They say another hour and i say lets reschedule for next week when i can come back, i dont have all day to do this cleaning. I GO BACK AND NOW THEY WONT DROP DOING THE DEBRIDEMENT. And guess how much it costs now? $70. Instead if $700. Which is still bullshit because my insurance covers me at 100%, and i have no copay. Yet they still find a way to try and weasel money out of me. I refused and walked out out. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, i will never trust any of the dentists here, even if they transfer somewhere else. I've been wanting to get veneers for my upper front teeth for a while now but have been hesitant because I couldn't find a Dr I trusted, until now. BEST DENTAL OFFICE EVER! After not going to the dentist for quite a while because of Covid and other issues it got to the point that my teeth and gums were in really horrible condition! I woke up stressed everyday until the day I received the magazine in the mail for Dental Studio of Pasadena, after much research I just knew this was the place for me!! It only took walking in the door and greeted by the friendliest staff ever that my stress level was relieved! Because of the extensive work needed I have recently seen Dr Angela, Mary Lou and the fabulous staff more than my own family!
