This place is great. They have a nice variety of gin, rye, rum, and other whiskey. The people are really nice. I especially liked the mango and passionfruit rum and they have a Holiday that is pretty magical. Definitely worth going to. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dented Brick!! We loved our tour, chatting with the owner, and most of all, the amazing spirits. We even got to try one that wasn't bottled yet (aged in a wine barrel! So interesting!), and we went home with some of everything as well as some presents for our friends back home. Extremely helpful staff, I have not done a tour (yet, will update later), but I did pick up several bottles to give a try. So far I'm beed doing Gin & Tonic with the Dented Brick Gin and it's fantastic. I love the shop and the other products they carry. Very well curated in terms of having other items for sale but without overdoing it. Everything on the shelves appears to he very high quality. We bought some artisanal simple syrup and have been enjoying. I'll be back later to talk about how I like the Roofraiser Vodka and the tour I'm taking this week! read more

Dented Brick is my favorite spot for local spirits! I've had several great tours and brought a lot of visiting friends to check the place out. The still is impressive and the staff is always happy to answer any questions. All the different spirits I have tried have been excellent! My family and I went on a tour and had a tasting after. Dented Brick has so much incredible history and Marc gave us such an informative tour. After the tour, we had a extensive tasting. They have so many delicious whiskies. I'm not even a whisky drinker and I bought a bottle!! They also have outstanding vodka, tequila and gin. I would definitely recommend stopping in! Hands down one of our favorite distilleries we visited in SLC area- Marc is a gem! We loved hearing the stories and history of the brand/location and tasting all the amazing spirits! Best Local Distillery in UTAH. I haven't done the distillery tour, but I restock my bar here. I think their shop is open 6 days a week, there is never a line, and the woman who works behind the counter is super knowledgeable and cool. They have vodka, rum, gin, whiskey, and DISCO NUT rum (super fun-it sparkles). They also have a great bitters selection. read more

I'm loving all the local distilleries. We just happened to walk in at the right time to join up with another small group's prearranged tour. The assistant distiller gave the tour. Currently, there is only silver Rum. That will change. They appear to be better funded, or just deeper in debt, than some others. It's a really nice large space, Three large stills including both pot and column are set up. I saw another small one waiting to be put together in another area. They also are better set up for tastings and have a more organized tour than most. Perhaps the more formal setup and tour is the reason they can use an educational license to have tastings without food. Nice. I purchased a bottle. At home I tasted the Sugarhouse silver against the Dented Brick blind. It was hard to pick a favorite. They each have different characteristics, and are both excellent examples of premium Rum. I don't think I'll be using either as evening sippers, although you could. I prefer gold Rums for that. However, in a Rum forward drink, the quality will show through. read more

Popped in on my way to the airport, charged $5 to sample their booze. Sample sizes were generous with about 8 different things to try. I only sampled the 2 gins and vodka which i found to be tasty. With your $5 fee you also get a shot glass to take home. Pop in, support local. read more

Friendly staff and lots of options for yummy craft booze....plus you don't have to wait in long DABC lines! It's great having a place to buy unique whiskey, rye, gin, and vodka. The store has a lot of mixers, shirts, stickers, and goodies. read more

Stopped in on a Tuesday at 3:37 in the afternoon. The girl behind the counter was the only person there. We didn't have a reservation and asked if we could do a tasting for two people. She told us "No, I have people coming in soon." She didn't offer to start us before her appt came in or offer to schedule another time!. Just , "No, can't do it." We were in the area and decided to stop by Dented Brick to check it out. We got there right as the scheduled tour was supposed to start. Even though there was nobody else showing up for that tour and we didn't book ahead, they took the time to show us around and do a tasting for us. Really good products, the Roofraiser Vodka and the Akley Gin was even better, but the real standout was the Antelope Island Rum. It's really very good. And the guy that gave us the tour and was helpful and friendly. read more

I can't say much about their other offerings having never tried them-what I can say is I paid $25 for the most disgusting vodka I've ever had. Vodka should be inoffensive and clean tasting. It should be able to be mixed with practically anything. This vodka is made with wheat and rye; I'm assuming the rye is what gives this vodka the funky (disgusting) flavor. You can't mix this with anything and drinking it straight is horrible. read more

Dented Brick is fantastic. Great tour, great people, great products. The distillery is situated on the artesian well used 170 years ago by one of the first distillers in the Territory, Hugh Moon. The clear rye whiskey, of Dented Bricks, that bears his name, is smoothie as silk, the vodkas, gins, and spectacular rum are a joy to the nose and palate. read more

Stopped by on a whim and glad I did. Did a tasting and tour, was very pleased with the service level and enjoyed learning about the facility. Although it's listed as a liquor store, it is indeed a distillery and that's what I was seeking. While the tasting room and facility were rather small, the employees made all the difference. I arrived near closing time and they still rolled out the red carpet as though I had arrived as soon as they opened. They also have solid recommendations to other SLC musts. read more

Loved it! Used a Groupon for the tour and tasting. Definitely worth it but don't expect a long drawn out event like some distilleries. Scott was a fun "guide" and conversationalist about the history of the place - he knew his shit. Definitely recommend for a fun afternoon. The free flask was a BONUS! read more

This is an exceptional distillery with exceptional people. Love the taste of the Antelope Island Rum and just tasted the Gin, it is great!
