Dr. Wilson and his staff continue to provide excellent care every time I'm in the office. They have a great system to remind you of upcoming appointments. From receptionist to hygienist to dentist, I've always been treated kindly and professionally in a very clean and organized space. I highly recommend Dr. Wilson and this office overall. Fortunately, I have decent teeth and health insurance so I've been visiting Drs. Sukoneck and Wilson on a semi-annual basis for about 6 years. My first time with a new hygienist was a little rough, but thereafter it's been fine. I recently had a problem (i.e. molar cavity) and needed to return for a follow up visit. I felt like my issue was silly, but they didn't treat it as such. They assured me that it sometimes follow ups are necessary once the novocaine wears off in order get the bite right. They accommodated me quickly and the visit was as quick as I could have hoped. They have evening and weekend hours, which is great! They have a program in which they encourage you to refer your friends to them and reward you for doing so by entering your name into a monthly raffle for a gift certificate to a local restaurant. I won the raffle one time (so far), so I know that the prize is generous. If I could give 4.5 stars, that would be my score for them. I'm more than a fan, but when I was a little younger I had a dentist who was so gentle and lovely, she'd be my "good as it gets". read more

I never thought I'd be compelled to write a review for a dentist's office. I've also never had as positive an experience with a dentist's office as I did with Sukoneck and Wilson so... here goes! First, the ladies at the front desk were incredibly helpful and friendly, answering any questions I may have had about the loads of paperwork one expects to fill out in a first visit to any medical office. Second, the hygienist Maryanne was UNREAL. She took photos and X-Rays of teeth and rather than cut right to my cleaning took the time to go area by area to explain things like gum spacing, plaque buildup, and what I can do to manage some of the issues I had presented in my paperwork. The cleaning, per usual, was less than pleasant but Maryanne made it as painless and quick as possible while also being thorough and attentive. Can't say enough about my girl Maryanne. Finally, Dr Kuang was personable and helpful as well. She took the time to answer any questions or concerns I may have had. At no point during the process did I feel rushed or unwelcome and they even gave me a goodie bag before leaving! They made such an impression that I made sure to book an appointment in six months. Bottom line... if you live in the greater Fairmount area make sure to give these guys a ring. They won't let you down! read more

I needed a dentist in the city, and after doing some serious research, I landed on Dr. Wilson due to his reputation and proximity to my house. I had a great experience from start to finish. I work an hour outside of the city, so when I called to make an appointment, the receptionist was really accomodating and gave me a Saturday appointment about a month out. When I arrived that Saturday, I filled out all of the normal new patient forms and was escorted into an exam room. While there, I interacted with a woman who took my x-rays, Dr. WIlson for my consultation, and a hygienist for a cleaning. I was extremely nervous as it had been some time since my last dental appointment, but all three were extremely professional and answered all of my (likely silly) dental health questions. Dr. Wilson asked if there was anything about my teeth or mouth that bothered me and offered information on any available solutions. He did so in an informative and respectful way and did not push any services that I did not want. I'm really glad I found Dr. Wilson and his office and definitely look forward to my next appointment - as much as one could look forward to a dentist appointment, anyway. read more

Found this dentist online after doing some research - and I'm glad I found them! The location is very convenient and the office is professional, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very pleasant and personable, which is nice when you're spending 30 minutes with their hands shoved in your mouth! I saw the information for their dental plan and immediately signed up - it more than paid for itself with the first visit alone! I definitely recommend it for anyone who doesn't have dental insurance. Dr. Wilson was very pleasant and professional, talking me through what he was doing, which I liked. He also noted a small chip in one of my front teeth, which I have had a prior dentist try (and fail) several times to fix. He inquired as to my experience and attempts to fix it previously, and believed that he could fix it - though was great about not pressuring me! I made an appointment that day for the next week to have it fixed. And so far it's held up really well. Dr. Wilson went out of his way to make sure the process was done textbook and the bonding has held up for over 2 weeks now (the most it's ever made it before was 3-4 days). I picked Dr. Wilson's office after doing some research online as well as considering their proximity to me, and I am definitely grateful. Dr. Wilson and his staff do a great job in providing their dental services as well as making the atmosphere professional, clean, and very comfortable for a patient. I recently started Invisalign, at the office and will update my review when i finish, but so far so good! A particular plus, is that they really do a fantastic job explaining all the steps of treatment and the goals. You don't feel like an idiot or unaware of your own treatment. I've had previous orthodontists and dentists do that, and it's really frustrating to feel in the dark about what is going on with your own body/mouth. Dr. Wilson's office is great in that sense, and they also seem up to date with technology and using it to book appointments, confirm appointments, and send you reminders. I had an awful experience as a new client. I came for a cleaning and exam (I had a complimentary coupon from their office to use) with the idea that I would switch dentists because I now lived in the building that Dr Wilson practices in and was no longer happy with old dentist because of high turnover for dentists and hygienists there. The staff was unbelievably rude and they said I was told I had to come with complete X-rays when I had not been told. So, I told them I would come back with the complete set from old dentist, but they refused to allow me to do that. "I had to use theirs" for the tune of 142. They were rude and argumentative and disrespectful and told me that I was not welcome there. The only person that was a joy to speak to was Dr. Kwon who was professional and understanding. But, Dr. Wilson and the office staff should be avoided at all costs. Never in my life have I been treated like a two year old, a crazy loon etc and then after trying to explain myself, refused service. And it felt that they were acting this way because I was trying to use the coupon for complimentary service that they themselves produced! AWFUL! DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. read more

My husband and I did not have a good experience at this practice. He saw the periodontist who was only fair. The staff had a problem working the X ray machine. Due to my husband's feedback, I cancelled my dental insurance with them and asked for a refund. The staff has promised me a check but it has been a month and I still have not received it. * Pros: Friendly and good customer service * Cons: Dirty offices and lack of understanding of current dental protocols These guys are a few blocks from my home, but I would rather travel further and have a greater sense of confidence in the dentist and their offices. This is the only time in my life I have gotten up and left a dentists' office prior to an exam starting. Here's why: 1. The night before my appointment I read the American Dental Association guidelines on reducing radiation exposure in dental x-rays. (I have had lots of radiation treatment and need to be mindful of my exposure.) At the beginning of my appointment I spoke to the dentist to make sure his equipment complied with the ADA suggested guidelines. Not only did it not comply, but the dentist had never before heard of this rather standard technology, gave me misinformation about radiation reduction, and generally did not know what I was talking about. I looked it up again on my phone in the office to make sure I was interpreting the information correctly because I am no dental expert. I was correct and had to educate him about it. In a five minute google search I had learned more about this than the dentist knew. That is frightening and raised a red flag in my mind: 'If he knows so little about this, what other technology, techniques, and information is he behind the times on?' 2. Additionally, during the course of this conversation, I was shuffled into two different exam rooms because of scheduling challenges on their part. Both rooms were much shabbier and dirtier looking than I feel comfortable with: There were gaping gashes in the exam chairs where foam stuffing was exposed. Sure they can wipe germs off of the chair but how do they get someone's stray spit out of the large holes in the chair? There was a large, rusty, fading water stain on the ceiling that did not look fresh but rather unattended to. The counter top edges were peeling back and disheveled. I don't point these things out because I need a luxe designer experience but rather from a cleanliness and hygiene perspective. This office just seemed full of dilapidated surfaces that could harbor germs. As a cancer patient with a suppressed immune system, I need to take these issues seriously, which is why I left before the exam began. To their credit, the dentist did email me some days later. He told me he looked into the x-ray issues and obtained the needed equipment that I brought to his attention and that he is now compliant with the ADA recommendations. That is good customer service, which I appreciate, and why I gave them two stars instead of one. Still, I will be looking for a dentist with cleaner offices who gets it right the first time. read more

I am a new patient to this office and after 2 visits and a good amount of work, I am very happy I found these guys! Their receptionist, Pat, is above and beyond friendly. Everything from making sure you can locate the office to ensuring you are comfortable, as a nervous dentist goer I really appreciated this. Dr. Kuang is great and I found her personality to put me at ease much more than I have experienced at other offices. I spent a lot of time with Helen today and I noticed just how attentive she is to making sure you are ok and comfortable underneath everything that is going on in your mouth, I can't express just how much I appreciate that. I was a patient of Dr. Wilson for 5 years. I'm writing this review now because I moved to Colorado and went in search of a new dentist and realized how lucky I was to have Dr. Wilson. I never experienced anything but kindness from staff. Dr. Wilson is passionate about his trade and stays up to date on the latest treatments. I had nothing but complete trust in his care. Many dentists will recommend unnecessary dental procedures, but you never have to worry about this with Dr. Wilson. He truly has your best interest at heart and will never recommend something just to make money. I'm a physician myself and am very cautious in choosing who to see. I have referred at least 5 people to this practice who reported back that they received excellent care, 1 remarking this was the "best dental experience ever." To those who review negatively based on cost, remember that cheaper is not always better. If you want a quality dentist who is well trained, and fairly priced for the quality of work done, then go see Dr. Wilson. Hopefully I can find someone half as good as him. read more

This place should be avoided at all cost. The atmosphere in this office is oppressive. The girl with the strawberry hair yelled at three other employees while I was in the waiting room like nobody could hear her. The hygienist was pushy and self absorbed, checked her phone 3 times while I was in the chair, and acted annoyed when I asked her to explain things to me so I knew what was going to be needed as far as my dental care is concerned. I mean isn't it your job to explain things to me, maybe she needs to find a new line of work. Not to mention the shabby state of the room I was in...cabinet doors askew, pieces of particle board flaking off onto the floor, the ceiling looks like there are leaks all over. Then back to the front desk where i apparently interuppted snack time and inconvenienced the loud mouth so i could schedule my next appointment, which was promptly canceled after leaving. The Dr seems like he's wandering around either unconcerned or oblivious to the semi dilapidated state of his dental office and the behavior of his employees. Maybe he's a decent doctor but he needs to restaff his office. read more

This place is a total scam, and I mean that quite literally. After only being there one time for a general cleaning and x-rays, I'm already having huge issues with insurance payments. The woman at the front desk, Jess, is extremely rude. It would be one thing if it was an isolated incident, but I literally had someone from the insurance company talk to her (while I was on hold) and she came back stating that "the front desk woman was being very difficult". She was doing her best to put it in a nice way, I could tell. She also said that Jess abruptly ended the conversation and said "I have to go". Like...what?! It was 4:00 on a weekday and she "had to go"? Aside from that, she doesn't understand how insurance works apparently. I overpaid for my services (it was $333 for cleaning and x-rays) and she is neglecting to acknowledge that the office of Sukoneck and Wilson is responsible for reimbursing me for my overpayment. She keeps stating that it's the insurance company that needs to pay me....which makes zero sense - I paid my "overdue" balance via CC directly to the office. Oh yeah, that's another thing. They neglected to tell me that I had an overdue payment on my account. Apparently it was overdue for months. I had been in contact with the office to schedule and reschedule appointments numerous times during that timeframe, and NOTHING WAS SAID ABOUT MY OVERDUE payment. Instead, I get a threatening notice 3 days before (via email) they're about to send my debt to a collections agency. Unbelievable. There's definitely something sketchy going on with this place, stay away. read more

It had been a few years since I've visited the dentist and I was extremely nervous. I had seen the same dentist for 23 years and when he retired, I didn't really know where I should go. After putting it off for nearly 2 years, I decided to make an appointment (the fact that I KNOW I needed a rootcanal didn't help with my promptness!) with Dr. Sukoneck and Wilson. Immediately upon arriving, the receptionist (Reese) made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. The dental hygienist, MaryAnn, also very sweet, made me feel even more comfortable than I did before. She also used this amazing new tool on me which polishes off any stains on your teeth (coffee, wine, etc...) Next, I had to see Dr. Sukoneck. It was very obvious I was in dire need of a rootcanal, which ironically began KILLING me the night prior to my appointment. Dr. Sukoneck had plans to leave the office early and when he heard how much pain I was in, put off his plans to leave early and immediately began to drill out the painful root (Step 1 of a rootcanal) so I wouldn't be in so much pain. I would recommend this dentist to anyone. They are so great.One thing I really appreciated about this office was that with each mention of bad news, they follow it up with some good news. For example, although I had neglected the fact I needed a rootcanal for some time, they made me aware that I had been taking really good care of my teeth overall and there was hardly any plaque buildup. It may not seem like a big deal, but for how nervous I was, it really helped to put me at ease. I actually wish there were more than 5 stars, because this office deserves more than just 5. They will work with you on payments, they are not eager for the money like other offices I have visited, they honestly just want people to be free of any tooth discomfort and happy with their smiles. I think that's so wonderful and if you've been putting off the dentist for any reason, make an appointment here and I promise you will not be sorry that you did. A+++++ read more

I have been going to the practice for 35 years, first with Dr Sukoneck in the original office on Aspen St, and then moved with him to the current office. I have been a patient of Dr Wilson since he came to the practice. All 5 of my kids grew up in their dentist chairs and now my grandkids go there. There is no "dentist anxiety" going to this office. It's like visiting family. The hygienists and assistants are the best. The receptionists are awesome. Dr Sukoneck is retired now and there is a new doctor added to the practice with Dr Wilson. She is very nice. I have had a lot of dental work done over the years. Not because they sold me procedures, but because I wasn't blessed with perfect teeth. Dr Wilson does it all, root canal, Invisalign, fillings, cleanings, you name it. And we always walk out with a smile and no discomfort. I moved out of the city 12 yrs ago and still go there for my regular dental care. No one else will ever touch my teeth!! read more
