I had chipped my front tooth, which was pretty stressful, but Dr. Mandy Yip, DDS did an amazing job restoring it--it looks completely natural, like nothing ever happened. This place will try to get you to do unnecessary dental work. First time here, they said I needed gum mapping and went through with the service. Six months later, the dentist said I might need gum mapping again. The periodontist saw that I had the work done six months ago and said it's not needed. Third time here, another six months went by, yet another dentist said I need root-canal and a crown because of a cavity. I am not sure how I went from no cavities six months prior to needed a root-canal and a crown. The office manager provided the quote with two different prices while billing on the same medical code. I decided to get my xrays and asked for a second and third opinion from other dentists. Both of the dentists said they don't see any cavity and there is no need for a root-canal or anything. Furthermore, one of the dentist told me that it is illegal for dental office to charge me more than what they are contracted with my insurance and definitely can't charge me different copays on the same medical code. Also to clarify, the billing applies to Dentist at St. Rose since they are an in-network PPO provided through my insurance. Stay away. I've been here for a couple of years. I get cleanings every six months. This last visit I had the X-rays, met with the dentist for the exam and then sat there for 30 minutes waiting for the hygienist. Finally I got up and was told they recommend a "deep cleaning" that, with insurance, would be $400+. And they were short staffed that day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I said at this point I don't have time for a cleaning so will call to make an appointment. I called the next day and was told the dr recommends the deep cleaning so that's the appt she will make. I said I do not want a deep cleaning (mind you, I go to the dentist every six months, for YEARS), I want the cleaning that my insurance covers. I made my appointment back in February 2025 just move to Nevada and I needed a dentist because I was seeing my old dentist in March and I needed it by July because I have periodontist problems I have to see a dentist every 3 to 4 months. Didn't have my x-rays up and had to go to the front desk to see what was going on then finally she got up. The doctor came in. Didn't really give me an exam did the probing and told me that the hygienist will be in to clean my teeth he also recommended that I go to a periodontist for regular visits, which is crazy since my dentist for over 18 years has taken care of my teeth just fine .He said I needed a deep cleaning and they have to check with my insurance sat there and waited and waited. Finally, some girl came in with Insurance to tell me he was gonna cost me $457 to get the deep cleaning I asked her is it possible I could just have a regular cleaning today she said yes waited another half an hour. Finally, the hygienist comes in to tell me she can't do my teeth today because she had an emergency and she's running behind and there's only one hygienist in that office which I find fascinating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She says on the first visit usually you don't get a cleaning. I said I asked for that when I called and said I need an exam and I need a cleaning if it was supposed to be on a different date then she should've gave me two appointments. No one said a word about that when I made my appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]She told me to be essential if I had a deep cleaning, she looked and said I have an opening for tomorrow and I have an opening for Wednesday because of the insurance I had to come back two days in a row to have one side cleaned, and then the other side cleaned. . This happen to be on a Monday and I told her fine. I will be back and get it done when I came in on Tuesday for my appointment at 1:30 the girl took me to the chair and told me that she was running 30 minutes late. I was there the day before over 2 1/2 hours and had nothing done. I said no thank you I'm gonna leave. I cannot wait and cancel both my appointments and found a new dentist. This office is terrible. This is a corporation. I want a small dentist office that's owned by the dentist and that's where I went for 18 years in Washington state and I never had a problem. The dentist didn't really give me any kind of real exam and They have you sign things that you don't get a printout for I just don't understand how anyone can go to something like this. Office is super nice and modern, I mean it should be it's a brand new building. My first appointment here made me feel a little uncomfortable if I'm being honest. It was supposed to be a cleaning but instead it felt like a sales pitch on everything. I was told I grinded my teeth and needed a mouth guard. They wanted to reschedule me immediately to do a deep clean. It felt like they were trying to sell me everything instead of actually caring about my dental health. By the way the mouth guard fitting and the guard total cost was around $250. I decided to get a second opinion since none of my previous dentists had mentioned me grinding my teeth. And just as i suspected I did not need a mouth guard. You should come to st rose dentists if you like sitting in a dentist chair while getting milked. After visiting this dentist the past few years, I feel confident to give a decent review. I will say my first appointment was not very good. The cleaning hurt. Like physically, my mouth hurt for a few days. I have very clean teeth, I've never had a cavity. I needed Tylenol for a few days for the pain. The dental hygienist that cleaned my teeth isn't at the office anymore, so I don't need to give her name. At this same visit, the dentist acted more like a car salesman. Trying to get me to get a deep cleaning instead of a routine cleaning. He then asked if I wanted braces and they could do it today. What?! I felt like I was being punked for a minute. I did decide to go back, and my experiences have gotten better. Dr. Chad is very nice and personable. Dr. Mingh had done an amazing job cleaning my teeth, she's the dental hygienist. Today I had the pleasure of getting a full deep cleaning and laser treatment due to periodontitis. I want to give a big shout out and compliment to the Hygienist, Hershe Gilvison. She WILL BE the reason for me sticking to this location. Haven't met any other hygienist in my past visits to other locations that will explain procedure thoroughly and also have that great bedside manner and friendliness until Hershe. My husband had a tooth extracted today at 2 PM. They asked him what pharmacy would he like to use. He gave them the address and the phone number and asked me to pick up the prescription on my way home from work. After sitting in line for 45 minutes at Walgreens, I was told that they had no prescription for my husband. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This office closes at 4 PM so I got a hold of the night nurse. This place is exactly what you'd expect from any basic dental place and exceeded my expectations. HOWEVER, I was let down in one important factor (hint: masks). The front desk staff was friendly beyond belief. I had a hard time finding my dental insurance card and they were patient while they looked up my insurance information and waited for me to find the picture that I had saved somewhere. The guy taking my xrays was very patient as I was trying hard not to throw up from that plastic contraption that they put in very weird angles. My hygienist was very nice and was the right amount of conversational. Didn't try to ask me questions while I had my mouth open getting my cleaning done. Then, one of the Drs. walked in to ask how I was doing, asking about if there's anything I wanted to address in my visit today, and I noticed how perfect his teeth were. That's when I realized, he took his mask off to talk with me. The same thing happened when my wife went here about a month ago when the mask mandate was still in full swing. This is more of a learning opportunity I guess, but it'd be nice if Dr. asked the patients first if he can take his mask off so he can talk more efficiently. We've seen this happen before. You're at a restaurant, it's loud, they pull their masks back just to recite today's special. Just a warning or a heads up would've been cool. Overall, friendly staff with perfect teeth. I was very hopeful about this place because they offer a $49 initial exam, cleaning, and X-ray and seem to have good reviews. My husband took time off work to do this, went and spent almost an hour getting X-rays done, only to be told they would not do the cleaning and tried charging him $950 for a "deep cleaning". They get you in the door, up-charge you, and then act confused when you get upset about the false advertising and waste of time. The lack of organization, professionalism, and overall ethics is a huge red flag. I don't know how these Yelp reviews seem to be good, because this is a scam if I've ever seen one. DO NOT COME HERE! I was beyond embarrassed and taken aback by what I experienced! I am still in shock... This place is a total scam. I went in, for what is advertised on the OUTSIDE of the building, (and the person over the phone said the same when booking,) $49 for a cleaning, xrays and exam. Everything was going great, the staff was amazing and pleasant... I was just about to text my friend and tell her to come here! Then... I was told I needed a "deep cleaning." I thought, "Ok well, my old dentist charged $175 for a cleaning, that's fine." No! They wanted $1,100+! I explain to the women telling me the prices that I wasn't prepared to spend that much money today, I just wanted to have the $49 cleaning, she says she has to "ask the dentist." She comes back and says that he says its "not a good idea" and I was shocked. I didn't know what to say. I asked "So, either I spend a grand, or leave?" she said "yes." WHAT?! So, I left... with no cleaning, feeling embarrassed, and quite frankly, like I was played by a company that has false advertising. So I had a terrible experience with another dentist in the area and decided I for sure needed a second opinion. I came across Dentists of St. Rose and saw all the positive reviews and decided to give this office a try. Let me start from the beginning... First, getting an appointment is super simple! You can book online, pre-fill out your info and you don't have to wait a month for an appointment. Next were the COVID precautions. Masks are required and when you check-in they have you fill out a questionnaire. After the questionnaire they check your temperature and have you sit in the waiting area where the chairs are spaced apart an appropriate amount for social distancing guidelines. Next, is your mask is required at all times you are not being worked on (example x-rays and when you are physically sitting in the exam chair), I really liked this. Lastly, the exam rooms are actually individual rooms and not just one huge open exam area as it was at the other office I went to. Now for the service and exam... the customer service was impeccable, from the front desk staff, to the x-ray tech, to Dr. Hadawar and the hygienist. Everyone was so pleasant. Dr. Hadawar took the time to listen to the concerns I had about the other dentist I saw and explained his process every step of the way. Sure enough, what the other dentist had told me was way off base and unnecessary. I got my x-rays, exam, oral cancer screening and cleaning all within an hours time. It was a super easy and streamlined process and I felt like I was in good hands the entire way through. Bottom line, I highly suggest this office and Dr. Hadawar specifically if you are looking for a kind, straightforward and honest dentist. My whole family will be going here from now on!
