Before I could choose a chair in the beautiful waiting room, Ashlyn quickly called my name and my appointment began! My hygienist, Danielle, provided the best, most gentle, cleaning I've ever had!! Dr. Martinez is professional and thorough without being overly technical. Clearly an experienced Dentist and intelligent individual, he also has a calm "chair-side" manner - which is helpful for anyone who may have nerves or anxiety about dental work. He discussed treatments with me, including options that will help me in other medical/healthcare areas. My children go to this office. Last week another child with our same last name was attached to our profile. My husband called and was told it was an error and would be rectified. He was then sent an email detailing the child's first/last name, their parent's name as well as other personal info (address, procedure history, etc) as well as attached to us in their app. I called several times and left messages but no response. This is very concerning and a HIPPA violation. The level of care with confidential info is very concerning. I also feel the child's parents should be made aware of what happened. read more

The employees and dentist know what they are doing. The problem is they will not provide basic dental procedures without adding options which you must do or they will not provide the basic stuff. You as a customer do not know if they are telling you the truth or just trying to make money on top of the insurance payment. It is a waste of my time because they would not do a cleaning without paying $374 on top of the basic visit. Oh and they sell it like they are doing you a favor by discounting it. I am going to look for another dentist and work with the VA to get another opinion. My wife flosses and brushes 3 to 4 times a day and they told her she has a cavity that is so small you can't see it and wanted to charge her for it. It is a dentist car dealership. This is red flag place, this is the worst dentist I ever had in my life... I went here for cleaning then they pop my crown by accident and they should replace at no cost but they forced me to pay $1200 in full. They told my insurance not cover which is lies, then I called my insurance, they said I only has to pay $240 for crown co-pay.. I called this dentist so many time for refund but they just the check for $415 refund,, this dentist is not honest, overcharged and bad service.. I am done with this terrible and overcharged place........red flag red flag .. bad bad bad bad I wish I can put no star at all and it should not be opened for business anymore.... read more

I've never given a negative online review because I'd rather build up a business than point out its flaws. But after my wife's disaster of an experience here, I can't help but warn people to never chance their dental care with this office. Long story short, the office provided haphazard care and lied about treatment options which ended up costing thousands of dollars out of pocket. After learning there was another, simple treatment option that would have been covered by insurance, the office gave a stream of round-about excuses and said it was my wife's fault she didn't ask about other options that insurance would have covered. The office leadership has no integrity. We tried for an amicable resolution. They dodged phone calls, disrespected my wife, blatantly lied and said "they will no longer be discussing this case with us." All this is in addition to the haphazard care they provided. My wife had incessant, throbbing pain for 3 weeks after having cavities filled here. At the follow up appointment the dentist admitted she accidentally drilled into the pulp of the tooth and it would require a root canal to fix. Thankfully the endodontist was competent, but we still had to foot the bill for the root canal. I'm not one to leave a bad review but I can't not warn people of what they could be getting themselves into when they go to this office. read more

I've been going here for years as well as my daughter going here. I've had nothing but positive experiences here. The staff is amazing and kind. I love that I can go to the same place for dental exams/cleanings as well as orthodontics for my braces. This is the only place I've been that will not tell you you need something done when you don't. They don't push procedures or extra things on you. They give you options. I even went here when I didn't have insurance and I was able to pay as needed. The implant I got here is perfect and beautiful. No issues whatsoever. Highly recommend. read more

In the middle of getting a bridge put in they (after pulling the tooth) thought they were doing an implant but our original consultation with xrays showed my nerve was too close to get an implant. The bridge was 10,000. My insurance approved 6k and I paid 4k. They just canceled my appointment on me leaving me with a gaping hole and now I need a new dentist, new xrays and then the bridge. I don't think my insurance is going to approve that. Be warned, the Receptionist said the dentist doesn't talk to patients. I was concerned about the appointment because they were going to charge me more and I just felt something wasn't right. Zeeo patient care, lack of communication (I had asked for appointment reminders and they said they would yet didn't), no willingness to solve the issue, extremely rude. read more

Do NOT go here. They told me I needed a $1.079 crown on a tooth with a filling. They said there was decay above my filling. The dentist said I possibly needed a SECOND crown, but she would not know until she began the crown on the original tooth. I went for a second opinion. It turns out that not only do I NOT need a crown, but there is not even tooth decay on that tooth. It is very upsetting that a dentist could be so dishonest to want to charge me $1,079 (after insurance) and also want to drill my teeth for no reason. read more

After I scheduled Dad & I's appointments for a couple of weeks from today, I will update my review on our particular visit, Dr. Martinez & services. For now, I'd like to update you all whom don't have a dentist on what they offer. Being that I have only seen my Dr. Brady in Iowa since I was in Kindergarten, I am scared to see another dentist. I am looking for the right dentist to call my Dr. Brady so to speak, my regular dentist for as long as possible. Trustworthy & that I'm excited to see, you know, least amount of pain & all good news lol cause I floss & take care of my teeth. They do take Delta Dental so that's a plus for Dad & they take non-insured, a plus for me. Right now they are offering an awesome deal, almost too good to be true cause in Iowa it is $75 & above, not including X-rays. Dr. Martinez owns the dentistry so I feel slightly better that he'll be doing the exam. However, it's still scary so will post an update our initial visit & on the dentist. Receptionist & the lobby were inviting. Conveniently located from us, we even found a shortcut leaving! It takes you to Carnegie & Horizon Ridge w/ in seconds. I would like to let the public know to NEVER go to this dental office. I have a onlay done in there office in April, by Dr Christopher Martinez. Was charged a crazy amount of money, they billed my insurance company for my visit, come to find out that they are charging me over the contracted amount they are allowed by my insurance company. This is called "balance billing"! I have been fighting with them since May to get a refund of the balance. They are giving me the runaround. If you are not familiar with insurance billing, you would not know they were doing this to you. They would tell you this is a material upgrade, which again they are NOT allowed to charge you. Avoid this office at all cost! read more

How is this place still open??? I'm calling the headquarters and telling them that I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. This place is messed up and creepy and the lack of care and concern by the male dentists was ABUSIVE. I have beautiful teeth. I chipped a microscopic piece of the tongue side of one of my front teeth. Instead of being safe and open and telling me what my options were, the dentist shaved the whole tooth. How invasive is THAT??? Now my smile is off, because I have one tooth longer than the other. He didn't tell me what it was going to look like or what my options were. A doctor ALWAYS tells you your options. SO SAD. Teeth do not grow back!! He should have just reassured me that it was extremely small and needn't be touched. Or the other option would have been to fill the tiny spot with composite. I'm pretty sure they tried to sell me something on that appointment as well. They pushed so hard to do my molar implant- NO WAY!!!!! I went to Henderson oral surgery as you should too if you need a specialist- NOT an under-qualified dentist. The staff is even worse if you can imagine that. They lie and tell you inflated prices- it feels like a the worst used car lot! When I complained over the phone about the lying and horrible customer service, the front desk person hung the phone up on me. And when I called back she made some excuse as to why that happened. I'm reporting to the better business bureau. Only reason I visited here was because this franchise has an office in Rockwall TX that is very good. I'll never blindly trust a dentist again. It was my first and LAST bad experience. I will have to let this go one day emotionally, because the damage is irrevocable. Teeth do not grow back and if you're smart you'll know that anyone needing anything other than a BASIC CLEANING will get fu@*ed. read more

Our whole family has been going here for 2 years now and I have seen and experienced firsthand their professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond to help patients understand dental treatment options and complicated insurance policies. Unlike other dentist offices we've tried, they are very punctual with all appointments kept to their actual time slots and the dentists and assistants are just as personable. I must give extra kudos again to Paula who makes patients really feel like part of the family with her down to earth personality and warm conversation. I absolutely love Dr. Gunn! I brought my daughter in for tooth & ear pain and we found out she needed a root canal and her 12 year molars we're coming in early. She made both my daughter & I feel so welcome and comfortable! While my daughter was getting her root canal by Dr. Oknaian (he's also AMAZING) she was nervous so she held onto one of her Squishmellows. Taylor told them that once we found Gordon (pictured below) he would need his teeth cleaned. So today at my appointment for my root canal Dr.Gunn made Taylor's day by posing for a few pictures. I highly recommend this office, not only for their amazing dental expertise but for going the extra mile to put a smile on my daughters face!! read more

What a terrible experience I have had at this dentist. I had an appointment with a dentist that specialized in gum recession. I was pretty happy with what he'd told me and although I thought the price was a little high I was willing to go ahead with the procedure. I went back to the dentist for a pre-exam/mouth guard fitting and once I arrived they told me that they had made a mistake. It was actually $1000 more than what they had quoted me. I felt it was extremely unprofessional that they could not accurately quote a procedure that they specialize in so I decided not to proceed at this time. About a week later I receive a bill from from the dentist for $40 and when I called the lady said it was for this consultation and that I had to pay it. Also on another occasion they had charged me my my teeth cleaning when it should have been covered by my insurance. I let that one go and paid it but now I'm just over this place. read more

I loved this place, was a loyal customer. Even brought in other family and friends for treatment. Loved the dentist and never had problems with him. I was very frustrated when I called on my fiancés last visit, when they charged him $100 for a teeth cleaning. I asked them why they kept changing their prices (they claimed it was my Insurance, but I called and that was false) i questioned Why it was $100. She explained to me he had a $50 payment and that he approved of a special cleaning. I then asked my fiancé if that was true and he frustratedly told me that they where lying and they said it was covered by our insurance. I explained to the office worker and she basically told me HE was lying. I was so mad and disappointed. I asked to speak to their office manager or biller and she never called me back. It's now been a week. UPDATE : I called today and spoke to the office manager Paula, she was extremely rude when she was speaking to me. She claimed she called me and left a message but I have no message or call history that she did so. So basically calling me a liar AGAIN. She also happened to forget the conversation we had months ago when I fixed an issue with a check due to Their lack of wanting to work. But more importantly that day she explained when we first changed our insurance it was out of network and once the year passed we'd be in network. So why am I paying so much money for a teeth cleaning? They explain it's our insurance, but my insurance says they make the amount total. So really this office is a SCAM and MONEY HUNGRY business and I'll never ever go back. read more

Very Sad Place - As an existing patient, since 2018, I thought someone would call me back after leaving over 12 messages to book an appointment (since March 2020) but no one ever called me back. So I walked into their office to book an appointment 2 days ago and I was advised that the earliest appointment with any dentist was mid July. If you are a new patient you can book an immediate (same day) appointment on their website - and their Front Desk Manager will call back immediately to confirm it! If you are existing patient and call in to book an appointment, none are available (even if you can come in anyday/anytime) - you will be advised you have to wait several weeks or even months. I sat in the waiting room and heard patient after patient call in and they were advised by the Front Desk Team: "NO APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE"......But why can you book a same day appointment on their website and get an immediate call back, that it has been confirmed? I spoke to the owner and advised him their website confirms immediate appointments and their staff calls back to confirm these appointments, he was aware but not interested in changing this fact. Bottom Line: They are only interested in New Business and all existing patients are referred out to other providers - unless you are willing to wait several weeks or months for your next dental appointment. It is really SAD because the dentist and hygienist who took care of me in the past - who no longer work there - were nice and professional. This business should become an Urgent Care Dental Practice - since current patients like me who have referred several patients to them - are unable to book an appointment with a professional who has treated them in the past, these patients are just referred out. I'd look elsewhere for dental care, since this practice makes it absolutely impossible to book future appointments. read more

If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. I have SEVERE dental anxiety. Panic attack, shaking, sobbing uncontrollably, the whole thing. Dr. Gunn and the entire staff were so gentle, reassuring and kind to me from the start. They never made me feel bad for my reactions and did everything they could to make me comfortable. I just left an apt and did not need anxiety medication or numbing agents at all, for the first time in years. The work they do is spectacular and the care they put into each patient is bar none.
