My son and I have been coming here for years and we were there when Dr. Yip first opened this practice. She's gone now and corporate has taken over raising prices. We had a simple exam and cleaning appointment today and we were quoted almost $500 and encouraged to purchase a $149 dental plan to reduce the cost, outrageous! She takes her time and explains better methods in taking care of my gums and teeth better. I saw Dr Marquez (Dentist) for the first time today and have now made him my "go-to" dentist; he's friendly and gets to the point of what is needed, not needed, and what to keep and eye on. No sale-sy. I really appreciate the honesty at this dentist location. Also, Jeanette is the best! - she did my X-ray (first time ever was not painful), and she makes u feel comfortable. I was talking with them and insurance for 3 months, They got paid from my insurance but they haven't still reimbursed me back. It is a waste of time to go to this clinic. Specifically, the office has a poor process to make appointments for new patients. I called in early August to make appointments for both my wife and me, and we were told verbally that our appointments were confirmed. On the appointment date, we were told that our appointments were not made due to that the clinic didn't have a profile setup for my wife and me. Furthermore, the clinic claimed that it called to try to have profiles setup ahead of time, but the clinic never left a voice message. For some reason, the clinic believes that its calls will be returned without leaving a voice message in the first place given the numerous number of scam calls that we received every day. read more

They made me feel like I had been going there for years (it was my first time). Doc Yip was outstanding! She is the Karate Kid of the dental world....the best around. The conversation was so good that I forgot there were metal tools digging for vibranium in my mouth. I felt literally no pain. She was very communicative and also attentive. They are truly professionals here from the front desk & dental assistants, all the way up to the surgical team. Front desk is very welcoming and right away made me feel at ease. Answered any and all questions I had and trust me there was quite a bit of them as I was hit with a hockey stick and needed 4 teeth fixed. They are constantly running behind, one time I waited for almost 2 hours and then was told they couldn't do my service. I had my first visit today at Horizon Ridge Modern Dentistry, and I can not say enough about my visit, going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do, but I'm actually looking forward to my next visit here. As soon as I entered I was greeted with a huge smile and a warm welcome, everything in the waiting room was COVID ready, plenty of space between patients, bright, clean and welcoming. I was called back for x-rays, they actually used 3 different state of the art x-ray machines, the traditional one, then a camera, and finally a panoramic imaging machine, the technician was professional and courteous, very painless and easy process. All equipment was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use. Then I was moved to my exam in a beautiful brand new room, with a very comfy chair and more state of the art equipment. Then the dentist came in and did a physical exam, I even got sunglasses to wear for the bright lights, very cool. After the exam, I got a very thorough walkthrough of the issues she found, I got to ask questions, then a detailed explanation of treatment options and recommended timeline, no rush and no pressure, then I was walked through the costs of treatments, my various options and what my insurance covered, a very transparent process, much appreciated, I felt I was making my own decisions of treatments based on my budget. Upon leaving I felt very content, I've never had an experience like this at a dentist office, thank you. Then to top it off, I get the fanciest electric toothbrush, just for being a new customer. Nice! They truly mean it when they said Modern Dentistry, everything was flawless, clean, COVID safe, pleasant, friendly and filled with knowledgeable staff. -Didn't clean teeth after exam. Told we had to reschedule because hygienist was out. Who does this? Who doesn't have more than one hygienist? -Dentist used a metal pick to push on our gums to make them bleed then asked if we wanted to see the blood. Gums hurt bad after done and that has never happened before when we saw a dentist in the past. -Told us we had gingivitis and we see a dentist every six months. We have been going to dentists all of our lives. Our past dentists would have caught that. -Scolded her assistant in front of us, very unprofessional. -Told me that I would have to be turned upside down to fill a tooth. Huh? -Horrible chair side manner, felt rushed. -Took haphazard photos of mouth and had to re-take many. We will definitely not be back or recommend this place to anyone. I have been seeing Dr. Yip since 2018, now. She goes out of her way to be educated about my rare disease as it pertains to my dental health (since it greatly affects my bones and skull) and attempts at all times to go about treatments in the most conservative manner possible. This means more to me, as a patient with a rare disease for 37 years AND a person who has worked & studied in the medical field, than most people will understand. Furthermore, her bedside manner is genuine and comfortable, making you feel as if you're simply just visiting with a friend you haven't seen in a while, while you're having your teeth checked. She also gives great indoor plant advice! Dr. Yip's team is phenomenal, as well. They are exceedingly helpful and always going out of their way to make sure that I am comfortable, especially since half of my spine is fused from my skull, down, giving me very limited movement. They don't stop until they know I am in a position that is convenient and relaxed for my ENTIRE visit. Dr. Yip has also continuously been able to go around my disability with such ease and grace, and make me feel like it's not ever a problem (even when it can be tricky , she always finds a way!).
