While I've known of this store and the Piorkowskis for some time, it's only within the last year that I've become a customer. Both of my daughters have begun lessons here, on piano and guitar. The staff is extremely accommodating, matching the student with the most suitable instructor. They will ask if you're serious about formal training, or would rather take a more casual approach. They will also work with you to accommodate your scheduling needs. The current rate is $16 per half hour, which is very reasonable. Payment is due at each lesson. If you have to cancel and can give at least 24 hours, you won't be charged, and you'll be offered a makeup date if you'd like one. The joint is always jumping - there will likely be at least a dozen students across two floors. It can get cacophonous in the waiting room, but the energy level is inspiring. I might just take up some lessons for myself.

It was badly out of tune because of a major issue with the straps that control all the hammers for the 88 keys had rotted and fallen off! There was also a crack 8n 5he sound board. The major components of the player part were in really good condition. We decided that the piano held many cherished family memories and proceeded with the repairs. It took several long 8 hour sessions along with our assistance for the job to be completed. The entire piano was taken apart to access the hammers and sound board. We left plenty of time between sessions for us to refinish all the wood while it was apart. We could not be happier with the finished results! It sounds awesome thanks to Carl and looks good too after all our hard work refinishing along with tips from Carl. He has been back twice to tune and we will hav3 him back yearly to keep the piano in shape. I highly recommend Carl for tuning, repairs and he also gives music lessons. Not only does he provide awesome service but he is a very remarkable person!
