We used this cleaning company for nearly two years, across two different homes. In the beginning, the service was solid and consistent, which is why we stayed with them for so long. Unfortunately, over the last six months or so, the quality declined noticeably and steadily. I raised concerns multiple times and asked for specific notes to be added to our account so that the cleaners knew where to pay attention, but despite those efforts, the issues continued and in some cases worsened. It included simple things like the TV console and desks not even being dusted to fully missing cleaning entire rooms. At that point, it became clear the problems weren't being effectively addressed. On the positive side, Andrea, the coordinator, was always very kind and responsive, and the pricing was reasonable. However, consistent quality is key with a cleaning service, and that ultimately fell short. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend the company. read more

Be very careful to read every email the cleaning company sends you. I used them for bi-weekly cleaning for a year and half at $150/service. I then paid $500 for a deep cleaning to put my house on the market and took a pause. When I resumed services, I assumed it would be at the same rate I'd been paying and didn't read the emails. Being busy and used to the reminders and receipts, I truly didn't even look at them. Turns out they switched to charging me an hourly rate and I unwittingly paid hundreds more than usual. I finally noticed when I was checking the date for the next cleaning and saw the price had changed on the confirmation email. When I reached out to them, they did offer a $100 credit towards a future service, but I would expect a little more accommodation for a loyal customer who's literally spent thousands of dollars (including deep cleanings) with them. read more

We used them for cleaning every 2 weeks for over a year, and just finally had to cancel. Initially, they did a great job - with the first deep cleaning, and subsequent follow up cleanings. There were a few things I didn't want to be done - I don't like when my towels and kleenexes are folded up into fan designs - we don't live in a hotel, it's a waste of time since you're charging me hourly, and maybe this one is just me, but it's weird to have someone touch the things I'm going to blow my nose into. I mean, it just is. We also told them time and again exactly where the garbage and recycling went, and which was which, and they kept just tossing both of them out together (so we'd have to resort) near a bin that we use for yard cleanup. Random items completely rearranged. Regardless, I emailed them about it, and they said they would note that and let their cleaners know. Which is good. However, that stuff would continually happen (i don't think they ever got the garbage right), and I had to let them know a few more times. What this tells me, is that even though we have the cleaners come at the same time every two weeks, that they are scheduling different crews all the time. Crews that don't clean consistently. And generally, the entire quality of the cleaning was just creeping down. Very light barely swiffer-quality mopping, etc. Sometimes the couch & chairs would get vacuumed, other times not. Other reviews are similar. If all that may seem silly to you, the last few cleanings went steeply downhill. Rooms were skipped - once a bedroom not vacuumed or dusted (with a noticeable amount of kitty litter around), and once an entire bathroom (that was used by my young visiting nephews, and well, you can guess how good little boys' aims are). That bathroom doesn't get used that often, which makes me think how many times they ever cleaned it at all. But they didn't even check it. That was the straw that broke the camels back, so they say. I'll start this review off by saying I had no problems with the personal interactions of the cleaners themselves. They were professional and actually very sweet, and the poor ladies had been working over 16 hours total by the time they were finished with my place. That being said, I was fooled by the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Yelp, so I want to help others not be fooled. Life is short, so I try to remain patient and respectful, and I'll do the same in my review, though I will admit I have a lot of negative things to say, unfortunately. If you are ready to leave voicemails, get ready to do so. In the approximately 8 phone calls (read on) I made, not a single one was answered. I had to leave a voicemail each and every time I called this company. They called back sporadically, not promptly. I had a cleaning scheduled and was told the cleaners would call before they left, to ensure I had time to meet them to let them in. They did not call, though they said they did. They showed up, but I ended up having to reschedule, so I paid the $40 penalty (this was an error due to my tenants not being available, so it was understandable and reasonable). However, I told them to make absolutely sure they called me when they were on the way. I was promised this would happen. They scheduled for a 4-6PM window, and it was nearing 6PM and I hadn't heard from them, still. I called a couple times in this window to check on things, leaving voicemails each time. By 6:15 PM they still hadn't shown up. I called (and left yet another voicemail) and was called back. Finally, they showed up at 6:30PM. The cleaning began, and I clarified what I wanted done. I told them I needed the place to be exceptionally clean by the morning (this was communicated very clearly throughout). I explained clearly the square footage, the existing condition, and what it would take. I told them I was fine paying for as long as it took to get done right. After 2 hours, the place wasn't looking amazing, and I knew it was going to take at least another 2 hours, so we extended. It's 10:30PM at this point, and they're frantically trying to gather stuff, and it's still not looking great. I admittedly felt bad, these two (yes, only 2) ladies were working as hard as they could, but I could clearly see it wasn't going to get done. I sent them home, because at this point, it was futile. I think I ended up getting the end of the day service, which was done by two tired ladies who just couldn't put in the effort needed to get the job done right. I don't even blame them, I blame the company for overscheduling and underdelivering on their promise. Again, I had to follow up (though I asked many times) for a full invoice of the services. I asked them to call me before they charged, they did not. I think in total, I left about 8 voicemails and sent 5 emails, for one simple cleaning. Honestly, there are a lot of companies out there offering cleaning services, and I really encourage you to look elsewhere. This company deserves far less than a 4.5 star review, and if anything, should arrive somewhere in the 2-3 star rating at the most. I was very disappointed with the constant following up, and in the end, the cleaning wasn't done to my satisfaction at all. A real bummer to see companies like this are prevailing -- I'm all about supporting local Denver business, next time I'll do more research and comb through all of the reviews, because there are definitely some other people who have had the experience I did. read more

The best thing I could say is that this company did a mediocre job, and even that would be too generous. I would NOT hire them ever again. The online reviews are misleading. When I called them to book a move in/out deep clean, I explained that (1) I am picky about cleanliness and (2) that the people who moved out were dirty. I also explained specific things I was looking for: wiping all the blinds, cleaning limescale build up off faucets, cleaning corners and creases of window sills, clean the insides of drawers and cabinets, etc. The person who I booked with said that was all fine and all part of the deep "move in/out clean." She lied. When the ladies showed up to clean, my stepmom stayed at my house to make sure they didn't do a half-ass job, but there was a language barrier (the cleaning ladies only spoke Spanish), so she was not successful. At the end of the day, I got a call from the manager saying they needed to come back again the next day because they hadn't finished. The manager criticized my stepmom for asking them to use brushes to clean corners and crevices where rags and fingers didn't reach (even though using brushes is standard in all the other cleaning companies I have ever hired). At the end of the first day, the two ladies who had been there took MY cleaning supplies home with them--they took my brand new bottle of Formula 409, my multi-tool screw driver (they had being using it to scrape stuff off tile), and my Swiffer duster. When they came back the next day, I asked them to return my things. They denied taking them, meanwhile I could see my things among what they brought in. Only after I specifically pointed to my things did they reluctantly returned them to me. After a few hours of cleaning the second day, their manager came to do a walkthrough (and to serve as a translator). I pointed out several problem areas, including dead bugs along the edge of rooms they had supposedly edged with a vacuum, spider webs hanging from ceilings, and the blinds were barely wiped. At that time, they still hadn't finished my kitchen or living room, so the manager said they would fix it and finish up the rest in the next two hours. By the time the ladies supposedly finished, it was late and I did not have a chance to do another walkthrough or check the areas that hadn't yet been cleaned when the manager was there previously. When finally had a chance to look over the cleaning ladies' work, I saw that they did an awful job. Drawers were not cleaned, tops of cabinets had an inch of dust on them, there were dead bugs along window sills, the windows and mirrors were streaky, the floor was sticky, there was still limescale around sink handles, one toilet was completely missed (urine around the base), etc. When I called DCSC to discuss this, the company said it would send out two different women the next day for two hours. When the two women showed up, I took them all the problem areas. They called their manager (same one who had done the walkthrough), who asked to speak to me and told me that they would not be doing the work that day because it was more than two hours' work. The manager accused me of being too picky and asking for things that are unreasonable, even though DCSC had told me upfront that these things were included in the cleaning I booked. The manager also suggested that I had dirtied up the house since the ladies had last left (which is ridiculous seeing how I hadn't even moved in yet and the only other person who had done any work since the women--a painter--had stayed in a single room and hadn't gone into any of the problem areas). While the company offered me half of my money back, I am still disappointed, as I had to hire another company to completely re-do everything DSCS has supposedly done. I took lots of pictures AFTER Denver Cleaning Service supposedly cleaned them, and sent several to the company, and they are all disgusting. Definitely not clean. read more

Of course, they did an excellent job again. 7/26: After we closed on our house, Maria and Lyllia showed up on time. Showing up on time really does mean something when providing a service, and I really appreciated it. They asked me to walk them through the house and let them know what was and wasn't needed. 2 hours later and the house was and smelled so clean. I had a Deep Cleaning done post Christmas, and they did not clean a couple of areas, and my entry light still had cobwebs on it. Expensive and not worth it. To her credit, she said that she did not know I had an unsatisfactory experience, and that if they knew that, they would have sent someone out to fix any problems. I needed a cleaning after renovations. The ladies did the windows and sills, but didn't look at the window tracks. They were filled with sawdust and screws/nails (yes that is on the contractor), but a quick vacuum would have resolved it. There were paint drops on the slate floor that they put no effort into wiping or scraping up...just a basic mop...no additional effort. They did do a nice job wiping down the kitchen cabinet fronts and cleaning the bathroom, and vacuuming the bedrooms. Could have done it myself....too much $$$ for what I got. :-( read more

This was my first time using a professional cleaning service, and I was not impressed. I did a move-out clean for 2 hours, but I could have done a better job myself. There was still hair and dirt on the floors, and the counters look like they were just wiped off. They did a good job of dusting the windows and fixtures, but it's not worth the price to me. Edit - this was for a 700sq ft place with 2 cleaners. Edit - they called me back after posting my review and offered to clean the areas that needed more or give a discount. I asked for deep cleaning with carpet wash. I have to say the person who did carpet wash is a sincere and hard working guy. He did a great job and 5 stars for him. The deep cleaning was good but I think they could have done a better job. They finished the everything in 2 hours and 40 minutes which was great but there were some spots which could have received some more care especially when they had 15-20 more minutes to complete 3 hours they charged for. I am a big fan of this company. I use them for once/month regular cleanings and am very satisfied. As with all companies, there are always a couple little things that I notice could have been done more thoroughly, but on the whole they save me a ton of time cleaning and the house always looks gorgeous when they are finished! The customer experience has been great- reminder emails and calls about the upcoming service and emailed receipts. I leave a note every time about little things I would like done and being careful about letting the cat outside. We've never had an issue! The cleaners do a great job and I tip them accordingly. I think the true colors of a company really show when not everything goes perfectly. Denver Cleaners response to some unintended events is what makes them totally deserve 5+ stars. The first time we used them, everything was perfect. So, I was excited to call them again for another service. We had a cleaner who came in and was a bit rough on our place during cleaning, refused to clean the fridge (even though we'd asked for a deep clean) and was generally surly. As soon as they left, we realized they had broken our new-ish garbage disposal. Denver Cleaners fixed it all- they made their staff clean our fridge, said the cleaner would be addressed, AND paid a handyman to come replace our garbage disposal. I will 100% use them regularly, and they we great throughout the process- they arranged their handyman, etc. They are fantastic, and they do a great job! read more

I was told they were going to be late. 278.00 ended as the total for deep cleaning service. I'd expect the place to look spotless for the additional mins I agreed too. This cleaning job was ok for 278.00. They left some kitchen area untouched and parts of the place untouched. I had better deep cleaning service done around 180.00 and they left it spotless. I wish I had more time to research, but was in a rush and was too busy to look at other cleaning services at the time. I doubt this cleaning job reflects the whole company, but I'm pretty sure, they had done a better job at other places. I'm going to be the odd woman out on here. Scheduling was easy and the lady on the phone was nice. I mentioned I needed a deep cleaning and my walls to be scrubbed and cleaned. And I was told no problem. Cleaning lady's come to the door and I mention the walls and they looked confused but they agreed to do it, also called the company back the lady on the phone was pleasant and said she'd call the lady's and ask them to do the walls. My blinds are wiped down and cleaned like I wanted. But the rest was just ok, the cleaning product they used in the bathroom left a grainy like residue. My faucets still looked dusty. I had not noticed until they left and I took a closer look at the work done, there were also areas that were missed. I supposed I could have watched them the whole time and tell them what to clean but when your paying almost 340$ including tip. You would think that things would be done without you having to say so. The lady's who came to my home were nice, but I would not use this service again and it surprises me how satisfied people are. I may just have a different idea on what is considered clean. Lady's should also be trained not to but the bathroom rug on the bed, it grosses me out and I then had to wash my sheets when they left. Again I want to express the lady's were nice. But for the price of the service I feel robbed. Update: I didn't have a chance to update this review as I was busy and completely forgot due to we used this company before we moved. They were nice enough to send another pair of ladies at no charge to clean the house again. But I had really wished things were done correctly the first time around. The cleaning wasn't terrible but I also wasn't blown away. There was one major issue and a few smaller ones that brought my rating down. First, they arrived almost two hours AFTER the two hour arrival window (which is really a bigger deal than i am making it). Second, I asked them to only do a particular portion of the house if they were going to be under the 2 hour minimal limit. They started with that portion of the house and did far more in those rooms than I asked, which pushed their time to 2.5 hours. Frankly, it looked like they weren't do much of anything that last 30 minutes. And finally, the house was cleaner than it had been but I did not feel like it was white glove clean or anything. I know I'm in the minority here but I was not satisfied with this company and their service considering their prices. We had tried a cleaning service before and had such a terrible experience that we wanted something different. A company that was easy to deal with, great service with minimal effort on our parts. We're both working professionals and keep our place tidy but want someone to come in once a month for a good deep clean. These guys had great reviews so I felt good about it. I called them and requested a deep clean (which includes appliances, windows, walls, fans, light fixtures, etc). It was over $200 with tip. Two ppl came and were really nice, I stayed out of their hair the best I could and told them a couple things like if they could vacuum between the couch cushions and get a small scuff on the floor when they mop, nothing crazy. They were done in about a couple hours and on initial look, they did alright...smelled clean at least, noticed they vacuumed, the counters were wiped. I tipped them both and they left. Then I noticed what wasn't done: The coffee maker was dirty, toaster oven not cleaned, blinds and window sills dusty, fireplace mantle dirty, living room rug not vacuumed, entertainment center dusty, bathroom toothbrush holders not cleaned, and on top of that, they completely neglected the entire entryway of our unit. The whole hallway and rug was not swept or cleaned and our shoes were all over the place even tho there is a coat and shoe closet right there. I called to tell them that and they said they'll come and redo everything...thought this was great, they really want to take care of their customers. I scheduled for them to come on a Friday.I get a call from them Thursday and was asked if we could reschedule. Here's where I thought: great...another scam. I tried rescheduling, Saturday was a no, Sunday was no, I had Monday morning free but they didn't so I said I have Tuesday and Wed off. She says: well....since that's so far out, the house may be dirtied by then soooooo how bout a 10% discount and a $40 credit from the $200 cleaning?? If we ordered a basic clean, what they did would have been perfectly fine, but we asked for a deep clean and they fell terribly short. Unfortunately we will not be returning customers.
