after shaving matted/dirty hair & cleaned. (right chest/flank area)

This facility is not for senior/special need dogs. I disclosed that he is 16-17 years old, has multiple medications requiring administration, does not walk well anymore and does require attention to change positions regularly, he is incontinent of bowel/bladder and provided diapers/wraps for this purpose to keep him as clean as possible and would likely need multiple baths, which we were happy to pay for. We were assured that his care needs would be met at this facility, and I requested a call at anytime for concerns. We received a single phone call regarding our dog questioning if we could pick him up sooner, that his existing pressure ulcer had worsened, and that he would do better staying home with a sitter next time. Our dog came home distressed, in pain, unable to walk, with multiple new wounds and swollen face on his right side and an overwhelming urine odor. He would not eat or drink water. The staff denies any knowledge of wounds, reports that our dog had multiple 20 minute walks a day (he was unable to walk for 5 minutes consistently prior to boarding), and that he basically required 24 hour care that they were unable to provide. They were unable to explain why we were not called if they could not provide the care he needed. Update: A call was received from Deogi Pointe owner, Chris. Stated that he saw our dog walk once (on saturday 9/5- the afternoon I dropped him off), asked when they should have called (reports it is normal for old dogs to not eat, drink or move for 2-3 days when boarded), then proceeded to yell at me saying "I don't know what you want" after explaining we would like an apology and a refund for boarding since expectations were not met as discussed and our dog came home in much worse condition than when we dropped him off. Repeatedly yelled at me "this is a boarding facility, they get fed at 5 am, we can't be there 24 hours a day" and that they "can't keep him from laying in his own piss or poop the whole time". Chris yelled at me about COVID ruining their business, that they are "hanging on by a thread", and asked if "I wanted them to go bankrupt". Chris was still yelling when I hung up. I didn't like that I wasn't able to pick up my dogs on a Sunday. Other than that everything was fine.

Each location is an individual franchise and the terms as well as prices per location is at the discretion of each franchisee. Furthermore, I had brought my dog here before and he did fine. It's a new location and the facility is clean. That said, I would recommend finding boarding at another location if possible. I had previously made a boarding reservation here for the holiday weekend for my dog. However, with inclement weather approaching, we changed our travel plans due to potential road conditions. I had to pay a deposit equal to half of the cost for stay. When I called, they said due to their policy of it being a holiday weekend, I would have to cancel 1 week in advance. Otherwise, they would keep my deposit. No exceptions. I had planned to drop my dog off Friday night with Tuesday pick up. I had called other franchises and each have their own policy. The other location required only a 50 dollar deposit refundable if cancelled 72 hours in advance. If cancelled within that 72 hour period, the 50 dollars is kept but credited to the owner's account. Compared to other franchises, this makes the cancellation policy at this location much worse. I will not be bringing my dog to this location again in the future.

I used to think this place was great. I'm not sure what's happened since they've opened, but I…read morewon't use them anymore. One of our puppies got injured twice here. The first time he got into some sort to tiff with another dog and ended up with a cut above his eye. No one said anything to me about it when we left and I didn't notice it until we put him in the car. I came back in and they then addressed it and explained what happened. "It stopped bleeding but if it looks worse let us know." Gee thanks for your empathy and concern. The second time (and reason I will not recommend or use them again)they brought him out from daycare/boarding. They didn't have him on a leash and he surfed the counter and ended up spraining his front leg. I believe he also caught a virus there (but no way to prove this). I ended up taking him to the vet the following Monday as he was vomiting and limping. When we came back the following Saturday I brought a copy of his vet bill and asked them to reimburse them for 1/2 of his check up and his anti-inflammatory meds. Their response was sheer agitation and after giving me attitude their only response was to offer a free day of daycare or to put it towards future training (ridiculous). I felt this incident was handled in a very unprofessional manner and was met with hostility by the manager for even requesting this. They should be glad he wasn't injured worse! Which brings me to training. I felt that our trainer was very nice, but not very organized. I asked multiple times throughout our puppy course to get a list of the things we needed to work on throughout the week. I asked to be emailed the things we missed one week....no emails. We were also supposed to be emailed our "graduation day" photos. Never emailed. We had 2 puppies in the class and they are pretty closely bonded and I felt they didn't get much out of class at the same time. There was an earlier morning class and in hindsight I felt like a good trainer would've strongly suggested splitting up our puppies. Also if you ever watch the dogs on camera it seems like there are at least 20-30 dogs in each group for a small area with 1 person watching maybe sometimes 2. This seems very unsafe even though dogs are tested prior to being allowed into groups. Accidents can still happen. The place is very pricey...like most of its main competitors. 0 stars
