Mr. Business Owner: 1. I have never seen such an awful practice. When you call a customer and he is not on the phone, it is common sense to call a second or third time. I don't think a legitimate business would just let go business so easily. 2. All "professional" service firms, in-regardless of how unreasonable the customer is, won't argue and won't confront with customers in any business service setting; not on the phone and not in social media. Now, how you reply my comments (which is consistent with how your staff talked with me) has already confirmed your company's low standard of services. All people can see and make the judgement. 3. Your writing is somewhat low in readability. Maybe you should go to school to learn some business writing (and proper customer service management as well ^_^). 4. Finally, I have given the business to Fixar Inc. (based in Brooklyn). Fixar has a high standard of service operations. Their customer service uses a combination of phone, chat room, text and email for communications. Always keep me informed the status. The technician is polite and explain everything in details. I have no hesitation in recommending Fixar to anyone requiring appliance repairing services. AND do avoid those companies who don't respect customers, enjoy arguing with customers, and never make corrections. read more

My LG dishwasher broke while still under warranty. I called LG. They arranged for Dependable to perform the repair. The timeline of what happened follows: Oct-29: The technician came and said "Drain propeller broken. We will order the part and call you to schedule another appointment." Nov-6: No call came from Dependable. I called them. They said "The part is en route. ETA early next week." Nov-14: Still no call from Dependable. I called them. They: "There was a delay. ETA sometime next week." Nob-21: Still no call from Dependable. I called. Dependable: "You'll get a call today or tomorrow." Nov-26: Still no call from Dependable. I called LG to request that something be done. LG said that Dependable said that the repair had been canceled by me! Furthermore, LG had no record of Dependable waiting for the part. LG created a new service request, which means I had lost a month waiting for Dependable to do nothing. read more

The representatives are always dismissive, the technicians cancel last minute and via text, and they have yet to solve the issue with our dryer that has needed to be serviced six times in a year... My LG Refrigerator was not working. I called the PC Richard service dept. and they sent a trchnician from dependable Appliance Service. I knew it was the compressor because I had the same problem once before. The technician came, looked at the refrigerator and said "Yep, it's the compressor." He opened the refrigerator door checked the fan and said no air was coming out and he would order the compressor, which would come in within 4-5 businss days and I would get a call from LG. He was in my house not more that 5 monutes and left. After not hearing anything a week later, I called LG who told me no part was ordered. I called PC Richard and was told the technician wrote in his report that he sealed the gasket, and if that didn't work he would order a compressor. He did not touch the refrigerator except to see if air was coming out of the fan. Because the btechnician lied and dod not order the compressor, I ended up without a refrigerator for a month until everything was taken care of. read more

terrible experience! They came out to assess the problem with my range. It was determined that I needed a simple burner cap replacement. They literally never got back to me. When I called them after a month to follow up they said their distributor didn't have the part in stock and there was nothing more they can do. When I pressed the issue they suggested I call the manufacturer of the appliance myself. They completely dropped the ball! The manufacturer of course had the part but if I ordered it directly I would have to pay but I was supposed to be covered under a 5 year warrantee so now I'm fighting with PC Richards who contracted Dependable Appliance. How Unprofessional can you be to have someone like me to have to sign up to Yelp so I can relay to others how bad you are. Today they skipped my appointment without calling and will not repair my machine. I have spent hours with them and the warranty company . They had full approval to repair the washing machine but decided not to come anyway. They made a conscious decision not to come and to not let me know. They would not put the owner on the Phone so I could let him know what happened and By the way the service person was talking it was his decision. Don't use them even for warranty work! Working in conjunction with CPS warranty services. I had a Samsung Refrigerator Icemaker that was not making ice. Technician came 03/27/19. Work was finally done on 5/8-9/19. Was told everything was fixed and new parts were installed to correct a faulty and poorly engineered ice maker. Everything works fine for a few weeks. The issue happens again. After a few back and forths between warranty company and DAS. I'm told that since my extended warranty had expired in June I am not under coverage for the work performed. Which I waited almost 2 months to have completed. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am an electrician and if a homeowner had called me about work that I had done that was not working correctly I would be there ASAP to address it. A 30 day window for parts and labor on a piece of equipment is completely unacceptable. Will not even send out a technician to even diagnose the problem. I have tried calling DAS and I am waiting forever to reach a supervisor. I understand home service work is not easy. But you should stand by your work and your workers. Worrying about money for work that wasn't even completed properly the first time is a horrible attitude. I am willing to adjust my rating as long as I am reached out to about this. A 2800 dollar refrigerator and an EXTENDED WARRANTY should at least get a diagnosis or figure out the problem. Their work should be GUARANTEED! I would completely understand if it was a totally separate issue. As of now, I cannot call them DEPENDABLE by any means. CPS is a totally different issue. WHY EVEN HAVE WARRANTIES! Edit: updating to 3 stars as of now. Received a phone call directly from Steve who could not be more of a professional. He will be directly looking into this issue and helping with what he can. I absolutely appreciate the fact he reached out directly to me to resolve this matter. CPS on the other hand, you should stay away from their warranty services. After hearing about their business practices and how little they helped me, I will no longer use them if offered. As for my fridge. Samsung is another culprit in this. They have been installing and providing defective and faulty ice makers in their refrigerators for at least 5 years now. They are currently in a class action lawsuit because of this. I found DAS through the Internet. Repair tech was dispatched the next day (Thursday) to look at my stove. The service call was $97 which would be put towards the repair. He told me that the "girls" in the office were busy on Fridays but I should expect to get the quote to repair on Monday. Well, 2 weeks later after calling nearly everyday I finally got a quote of nearly $600 which I believe is excessive. After reading the company reviews I'm not sure I trust DAS. I will be looking elsewhere. Would definitely not recommend. read more

Two reasons 1) LG informed me that your company filed an incorrect report alleging that the issue was fixed - "repaired loose connections" - absolutely NOT TRUE. Your technician just turned the drum and it did not fix the issue. 2) I called your local office at (732) 222-2026 and (848) 200-0032 in two separate occasions to follow up 3 days and more than a week after the technicians visit. I spoke to a lady and asked when the report was submitted to LG but she could not give me details. The report may have been submitted to LG as you claimed (although this was disputed by LG) but the fact that she cannot provide any information was frustrating. read more

My dishwasher stopped working last night. I submitted quote requests via Angie's List and they were the first guys to call in the morning. They told me they could come between 11am-2pm then he actually came little after 11am! I honestly didn't expect that. The dishwasher started working soon after he started working on it. All he had to do was to clean out drain pump....... He came in so quickly that I didn't even have time to compare pricing so I'm not sure if they're affordable or expensive. The name "Dependable" must have been chosen in irony because they are definitely not dependable. Lowes assigned them to me for service on my Refrigerator. I received an Email confirmation from Lowes specifying the ETA of the technician (before 12 noon). At 10 AM I called Dependable and was told they knew nothing about a service request from Lowes and I needed to call Lowes. After being on hold for more than a 1/2 hour I was assured by Lowes that Dependable accepted the service request and they just didn't fulfill it. This was a Tuesday and Dependable told Lowes they wouldn't be able to get to me till the following Monday. I requested that Lowes assign a different appliance service center which they did. Before calling "Dependable" for service I recommend you read the poor reviews and take note of the consistency regarding their reliability or lack there of and chose a different appliance service center, one that doesn't just chose a name because it sounds reliable but one that really is dependable. They are in a difficult industry (no one is happy when they have to spend money to repair an expensive appliance they purchased.) But in this difficult industry this company shines! I am a landlord and have many appliances that need repair. And I have dealt with many many many appliance repair companies. And Dependable is just that, Dependable. And if you ever ever had an appliance repaired you know that most appliance repair companies are not only not Dependable they are downright undependable! It's that they do it on time and they do it right and they do it right the first time and they are happy to do it. My most recent technician was Javier. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. We have a kitchenaid dishwasher,14 months old with the Lowes extended warranty.The wash pump burned out..Dependable Appliance was issued my repair request by Lowes and an appointment was made for 3/31/22 ,8am to 12pm..No one arrived or called, it was 12:45pm so I called Lowes customer service. They finally got in touch with Dependable and was told a tech would arrive soon. I felt hostage in my own home at this point and had to waste a full vacation day from work for this nonsense.The tech finally arrived about 2:15pm,said he had to order the new part , would take 7 to 10 days.He left without giving me any contact info, paperwork, nothing. He said he had what he needed on his phone..20 days later, still no contact whatsoever from this company. WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD. STEER CLEAR. Uncooperative, unreasonable, hard to work with, technicians (when you can finally get one to come out) completely incompetent. If i had to choose between service on my five month old dryer again with these folks or just trashing it and getting a new one or face the pain of dealing with these folks again, i would go the new dryer route. Dealing with them is akin to getting a part-time job. Be prepared to spend 20 hours a week on .. scheduling your appliance "repair". Took two weeks to get someone out. Said needed to order control panel. Came back 6 days later to install it. But, turns out there was nothing wrong with the dryer, it was the electrical outlet. But they forgot to test it so they didn't know that. Tech left the clamps off of the dryer vent (lost had to buy new) and left the dryer vent disassembled. And, the light in the dryer burned out because he left the dryer on. So, it was left in worse condition than they found it, and, caused me extra work to fix their mess. And, nothing was wrong with it. The process to get someone out is extraordinarily painful, and they give you a five hour window so you need to take the day off. Steer Clear of this place and of any appliance retail outlet that uses them for service. read more

A total disaster. Cost over $2,000 and the unit was not repaired. Only after we spent that much on about a half-dozen service visits did they mention that they had an expert on our type of refrigerator that they could send. Along the way they installed parts that they later said were defective, we had the smell of smoke coming out of the unit one night and had to pull the plug, and an authorized serviceman from the manufacturing company came and said that the unit had become contaminated because not all the right parts had been replaced. The owner threatened to sue us if we wrote negative reviews. Offered only a $500 refund which we have not yet received. One star because zero is not allowed. read more

Woman who answers phone is onnoxious and says things like "that's not my problem, what do you want ME to do?" 2 months in and my microwave (which is under warranty) is still not fixed. They have ,in those 2 months, canceled my appointment without telling me, rescheduled my next appointment without telling me, showed up and said they would be back in 7-10 days with a part, then came back over a MONTH later, and then came back and said they couldn't do the repair because of THEIR "COMMUNICATION ERROR"- which the service guy said has happened "millions of times" to him. Stuck with them because GE uses them for warranty repairs- GE was so embarrassed when I told them of my experience with "Dependable" that they are sending us a new microwave so we don't have to deal with these incompetent imbeciles again. We had a brand-new but faulty fridge and Frigidaire sent us a repair person from Dependable to look at the problem. He was not able to make the repair needed but did not clarify that to us. He said he had to make a call and then disappeared without doing anything. Then Dependable lied to Frigidaire and said the job was completed, when our fridge was still not working. I wish I could give them 0 stars, I really do. PC Richards used them to try to fix my fridge. They gave me a 5 hour window yesterday. After 6 hours of waiting, I called them -- the technician apparently could not find parking near my home in Brooklyn, NY, so he left and didn't bother to call me. And there is a PC Richards across the street from me where he could have parked! They sent him out again today. He almost left again because he couldn't find parking and couldn't find the PC Richards parking lot, though he found the store -- the parking lot is at the front of the store and is hard to miss (and no one else seems to have this problem). He then came to my home for about 5 minutes (I wasn't home, but had asked someone to wait for him), apparently didn't fix anything (though he was supposed to bring the part that had been ordered to fix my fridge) and left. I am waiting for a response from them now. I think he probably forgot the part. I have had a lot of appliances serviced, and this is possibly the worst service I have ever received. read more

All these previous reviews are right. LG contracted this bogus company to fix the ice-making issues on our fridge. The obese dependable appliance technician comes in with an attitude and says he will order parts and it will take 7-10 days. It's been one month already and no parts. I called them four times and each time they say it's coming in next week. When you call in they always ask if we still need the parts, which makes me believe they never ordered the parts in the first place. The service person, Javier, called the night before, showed up on time, diagnosed the problem, was courteous and honest - what more could you ask for? I will let you know further once they actually install the parts as to whether or not this was satisfactory but for now the people I have spoken to and come in contact with were a decent, caring, professional hard worker group. read more

Our GE Dishwasher broke for the third time. The first 2 times PC Richard sent a GE repair guy. He was nice, friendly, very knowledgeable. The Third time, we were given to "Dependable." They sent a "technician" to our house. The 2 guys got out of a Honda, walked into my house, took 1 minute to diagnose that I need a new power board, whatever that is. He takes his bag and walks out, I had to follow him to the sidewalk to ask what the next step was. That was in April. In May, I get word the part has arrived, and this starts a cycle of them making and canceling appointments. The woman who handles the phone is a real gem, by the way. Finally, I get a call from them that my technician "had a sudden emergency" (on a Friday in 90 degree weather at the beach I'm sure), and Miss Personality tells me "we'll have to call you back next week and figure out the technician's schedule LOL! I said, what about my schedule? She said, we don't go by that. I asked if there was anyone else who covers his area because we've been without a dishwasher for 2 months, and she says "Nope." I said ok, so everyone in my area is getting screwed tomorrow because you don't have anyone else? She responds "Unfortunately, yes." LOL! I hung up and called PC Richards. The woman who answered went on for about 5 minutes about how awful they are and that every person that's been referred to them complains. Now we have to wait another week for another company to come out. They should be embarrassed. read more

They handled my repair for kitchen aid dishwasher through a PC Richard extended warranty. I will never buy the warranty through PC Richard again because of this company. Told me they didn't have my parts but when I complained to PC Richards the same day, they miraculously had the parts. So they either lied to me or PC Richard. As with all others, they don't deserve a single star. Jenn-Air scheduled my cooktop repair with them on my behalf. Unfortunately our cooktop stopped working 2 days ago, and I've got a 5 week old infant who I need to boil water for (for formula). They called yesterday to set up a window for today. They wanted to set up 9-1pm. I explained that I had a pediatrician appointment for my infant and would likely not be home until 9:30 or 10. Unfortunately there wasn't another option, so I asked them to call my cell phone instead of the house and gave them that number. I never heard from them. By 12:45 I called to double check, and was told that "they called the house at 9 but I didn't answer so they skipped me and I need to reschedule." I have vonage, and not only was a call not made (I can tell from the vonage logs) but also they never called my cell phone. Now Jenn Air and Dependable (who are anything but) tell me the soonest appointment is 6 days from now. Never use them - they are NOT dependable and I think they are liars. read more

I called back after 10 days and they told me they got the wrong part and I would have to wait again. I got in touch with pc Richards which i had my contract with. PC Richards farms out their service! They called "Dependable" and was told the part was in and the service man would call. It is now 2 weeks later and no call. Again I called PCRichards and they called and was told the service man would come today. Surprise,surprise they said he would only call to make an appointment. They are are not truthful!
