Completely misleading. Spoke to Tony first--he said it was a simple partial sewage blockage and quoted about $100. No mention of major work. Michael showed up, didn't inspect anything, then texted me from his truck saying he needed to shut off the water, remove the toilet, and charge almost $650. (See attached screenshot.) He couldn't even say it to my face. When I pushed back, he put Tony on speakerphone, who falsely claimed we discussed ripping out the toilet. That never happened. I understand pricing can change depending on what's found--but I explained my situation very clearly to Tony. He never mentioned any other possibilities beyond a quick, simple fix. Let's be clear: I'm not upset about the work itself--I'm upset about how it was handled. His dismissive approach and attempt to gaslight me after the fact was completely unacceptable. I hired another company who used actual access points (on the roof and side of the house--Michael didn't even look) and fixed everything for a fraction of the cost. I had a Dependable Rooter and Plumbing representative come out to my home today. I was quite impressed with him. Up front and direct to fix my kitchen sink which wasn't draining very well and did not respond to chemical agents being used he offered a price a flat rate of $898 for people whom located his company on YELP, for a snake and hydro jetting to clean out the debris or whatever else was building up over these last few decades. He worked through the plumbers kitchen clean out line. Once the hydro jetting got stuck, he took that out and snaked the drain again then hydro jetted again. He wound up snaking the drain four times and using the hydro jet four times to clear up the debris. He had suggested that once complete I put in a hot gallon or so of water down the drain just to be sure it runs nice and clear as he was packing up and leaving, I had warmed up the large pot of water poured it down the drain while running the sink at the same time; after the entire po went down the drain only then did the water level begin to rise again. Most of the items were picked up, his area cleaned, however the sinks were starting to fill back up. The representative then had to unpack and set himself up again with the hydro jet and the snake to clean it out. No complaints, smiling, and friendly the entire time.
