Called Alpine last night as the drain pipe of our HVAC unit is clogged causing our air not to work in some of the hottest days of the year in the IE. They were quick to reply on Yelp. Originally had a plumber sent out from Alpine this morning which he did not have the correct equipment. Following the miscommunication on my part (Plumbing vs HVAC tech) the owner Vince personally called me and told me that he was sending out another tech in the next hour that had the correct HVAC equipment to get the pipe cleared. (He said the drain pipe is a grey area between Plumbing/HVAC as while it drains into the sewer, that the plumbers don't usually work with pipes that small.) Incredible service! And really appreciate the owner calling me to make it right. We'll certainly call Alpine back the next time that we need help. read more

My water heater was down and I am so glad that my friend recommended me with Alphine Plumbing! Shoutout to Vince, Shawn, Edgar & John for helping me in getting my hot water back. The Alpine team helped me calling the Navien team to get the new part replaced through warranty so that's good value. I found out my water is very hard so lots of scum got accumulated which destroyed the water heater tank not able to heat up normally. To prevent his from happening again, I decided to install the Halo-5 water treatment system. The Alphine also managed to rework the pipping and make the installation of the Halo-5 with great care and efficiency! After the Halo-5 installation, Vince also helped flushing the water heater. While the flush is ongoing, he also helped me check my AC air filters as a courtesy. Had an issue after new construction which caused me not to have hot water. I called Alpine, and the delightful owner Vince called me to discuss the need. He sent Michael out to help me after the holiday and Michael helped with a few other things I needed advice on. I was in a bind moving in....and Michael was honest about a handy man doing some of the work to save on the cost, but I did not have the time and was tired of taking cold showers so I requested Michael do it as Alpine as they were more established. I appreciated the tip to save on cost, but chose to pay him to do all of it which required going back to the store to get materials to seal around the leak in the water heater cabinet outside. Pushy with the sell, super over priced , poses as mom and pop but is commercial. They're so busy they can't come by but they can show up and make time to come by .either you're busy and making time for me to make me appear special or you always had the time and are creating a narrative . Vince is a nice guy , he's doing what he needs to for his livelihood . I bet he's a good person to be friends with . Competing business said they had to redo some of their work not plumbing related but HVAC. Any business will experience rough patches when expanding service lines . For the price and being a supporter of small businesses I chose to pass on this service for HVAC troubleshooting and removal + installation of new ducting system . Our tub was inexplicably backing up with waste water from our kitchen sink and laundry which, other than already being super disgusting, cast a putrid smell throughout our house. I requested someone to come look at my faulty pilot light unit. I know how to turn on pilot lights so figured it had water build up or needed the pilot module replaced. Shawn came by and was very courteous. He went to inspect the unit and tried to light the pilot just as I did. Then 30 seconds later came in and said he recommends an entirely new water heater. I said we just got this unit a few years ago and he said your unit is 9 years old. Guess what? That was a lie. My manufactured date is 2020 as verified by another company that came and actually gave solutions and REPAIRED my unit. This water heater was 2 to 3 years old and he claimed it was 9 just to get an upsell Then says we can go tankless for $7,000. Those were the only 2 solutions Well another company came by and Rebuilt water heater internal and external parts. New burner and thermal couple as well as a new gas control and gas shutoff. Tech told me what the issue was and cost,2350 to replace 100 part. Said no and got a 2nd option and quote. SAME job, same partner charged us 600 and did the job on Saturday. Gas valve issue -- pretty simple. The technician said it would take two weeks to get the part, started with the lazy talk then immediately pushed replacing the entire water heater instead, quoting $2,700. That's ridiculous. We did not want to replace the whole unit; we only wanted the gas valve replaced. Instead of giving the customer what they were asking for, he offered no repair solution at all. Once we declined the full replacement, he simply said "okay, have a good day" and walked away. No attempt to do the repair, no effort to earn the business, and no interest in creating a recurring customer. Very frustrating experience. How do this companies stay in business, by upselling and taking advantage of customers that have a lack of knowledge UPDATE- The owner did reach out; however, if his principles of doing business were truly aligned with and reflected in how his company operates, the outcome would have been different. We ultimately purchased a new water heater and installed it ourselves -- $700 out of pocket. It was surprisingly easy with YouTube and AI guidance. Saved thousands. Found this company on Yelp and they responded very quickly (within 30 minutes of submitting a job proposal via the app). That was around 11:00am and they had a technician scheduled to come at 2:00 the same day. The plumber/technician Ruben Laura checked out the water heater and immediately got to work--the company that installed the water heater back in 2012 apparently just Mickey Moused the CO2 exhaust vent. They did not actually line up the exhaust pipe to the exit from the water heater and basically Carbon Monoxide has been pumping into that closet ever since. In the morning we had So Cal Gas come for a different issue and they discovered the dangerous install and instructed me to get it repaired ASAP and that I shouldn't use it until that's done. Long story short, Ruben quickly made the repair and also assessed the igniter that the Gas tech claimed to be broken (it wasn't). Within about a half hour, the water heater was SAFELY back to working order and everything was copacetic. This is a late review. We had Alpine plumbing come out to hydro jet our plumbing. Their pricing was the most reasonable and they use the big boy hydro jet instead of a pressure washer. When we contacted Alpine about drainage still being a bit slow, they honored their warranty without fuss and sent out their technician to hydro jet our pipes again. Great service read more
