I unexpectedly needed a few additional items boxed on moving day, and they handled everything without hesitation. Every item was packed and transported with great care. Nothing was broken, damaged, or missing. The move into my new space was just as smooth as the move out of my old one. They carefully followed all of the building's rules for elevator use, placed furniture exactly where I requested, and neatly stacked boxes in the appropriate rooms. What impressed me most was their professionalism and attention to detail. They communicated clearly throughout the process, regularly checked to make sure I didn't have any questions, and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was done right. Before leaving, they removed all of the packing materials they had used and left both my old and new homes clean and tidy. The entire move stayed on schedule and was remarkably efficient. I honestly could not have been happier with how smoothly everything went. The two movers assigned to my move were truly exceptional--kind, courteous, hardworking, and diligent professionals who clearly take great pride in their work. I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it. These guys provide excellent customer service and I was very impressed by them.

My priority was that the move should be drama free, and it was. I was willing to pay more so that it should be drama free. What surprised me most was that because everything was pre-packed and was an easy move, they charged me less than estimated because it was quick. So I didn't even have to pay more. You would have expected that since the price was linked to how long it took, that the movers would have taken it easy. But they moved extremely quick. So I am overall very happy with my experience.

From my first call to the company to waving the team off when the job was completed, each interaction was cheerful, kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. On moving day, they showed up, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, smiling, and ready to work. The team: Milo, Dragon, and Josip were incredibly helpful. Milo took one look at me, realized how flustered I was about everything, and took a minute to calm me down. Who does that??? He and his team worked efficiently and calmly. He even fixed a loose leg on a piece of furniture. Again, who does that?! So incredibly kind and helpful. There was a hiccup at the storage unit; we had an issue getting in, and they were patient and kind. Everything went off without any problems, minor or major. They were just, well, Magical! As for pricing, they were the only moving company that didn't charge predatory pricing. Magical Moving didn't charge me travel time, waiting time, or anything insane. Price-wise, they were extremely reasonable. Unlike the other moving companies I contacted. The other moving companies, once they understood it was a last-minute move, tripled their price, added travel time, wait time, everything. That was a nightmare. Magical movers treated me like a human being, not an ATM machine. I'll be using them again shortly. I just signed a lease, and, of course, Magical Moving will magically move me!
