Moving is never an easy thing. It is full of stress, uncertainty and tons of moving companies to choose from. I am very happy to have stumbled upon OrangeTruck Movers though. My move could not have gone any better! Moving day the guys showed up with an extra man to help (I had only hired two movers but lucked out and got a third!). They got right to work as I signed paperwork. They were all so friendly, efficient and hard-working. I was truly blown away. They wrapped all of my furniture very well as I was moving to a storage unit and they wanted to make sure it would be safe in there. I chit-chatted with them throughout the move but they never stopped working while talking. They finished loading up the truck and we met over at the storage unit. They were just as efficient there - even though they had to go up and down an annoyingly slow elevator. They packed my unit to perfection and made sure to leave any of my requested items on the outside of the unit. They come prepared with blankets, giant boxes, clothing racks to hang things on if needed, and more. I used Orange Truck Movers to move from Southern California to Montreal, and I had a good overall experience with Orange Truck Movers. Their quote tool was easy to use and they gave me a very reasonable price compared to other companies, especially since Orange Truck Movers handles the customs. Through factors out of either my or the company's control, there were some delays in transit, but the company was transparent and communicative and made sure I knew what was going on. As somebody who has moved cross country 5 times now, I think it's unreasonable to expect things to go perfectly every time. What is more important is to work with people who are honest, professional, and will make you feel right, and Andrew and Orange Truck Movers was exactly that. Regardless of any issues, there were clear communication and timelines, and I ultimately received all of my things without much issue. Yeah, This company is the real deal. I have moved 5 times within NYC and all of them have been stressful, had things broken, and worst if all way overpriced on a ***taken advantage-nickel and dime you- hidden fee behind hidden fee kinda way*** and way more stress than it was worth. UNTIL NOW... This is the first moving company that has exceeded all my expectations and killed my developed fear of moving in NYC syndrome. I ended up using them twice in one month- moving my furniture into storage and a few weeks later, from the storage unit to my new apartment. I first used Orange Truck Movers for my personal move in April. They were so exceptional that I recommended them for our business move. To say that they went above and beyond is an understatement. Because of the complexity of the move, Andrey had suggested that we do it on two separate days, but I talked him into doing it the same day. Unfortunately for them, Andrey had been correct. Used these guys a few weeks ago for my move in NYC. Pre-move communication was great, the owner (Andrey) was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and alleviated the stress most people experience while trying to arrange a move. On day of, the crew of 3 showed up on time and started to wrap/move my stuff right away without wasting time. All my furniture pieces were wrapped with great care, also the movers disassembled and then reassembled my IKEA bed (I've been told, this service is always included). All my stuff was delivered in original condition, nothing was broken/damaged. Overall, it took them 4 hours to move 1-br worth of stuff from Brooklyn Heights to West Village, wow! You can rely on this company for all contingencies during your move. Timely, professional and will go to all lengths to help you. Great crew. I had a first hand experience of it during a recent move within the city. It started raining out of nowhere, the city suddenly decided to dig a big hole on the street I live. The manager sent an extra person at no charge to cover this last minute mishap to be with the truck and to help out as the truck had to be parked at a distance. Overall time and effort needed obviously increased. But again no charge was levied for that. I had other issues that cropped up out of nowhere and again the manager did everything to help with the move. And they do not charge unreasonably like other movers. No hidden charges/tips extracted. I can't thank these guys enough! First off, I totally booked them last minute because the apartment that we were moving into wasn't available on the weekends, then they didn't finish painting it for Monday... needless to say - OTM were great in accommodating every change on our end. The move itself had some unexpected twists too but OTM was very transparent and gave me a reduced rate to off-set being one man short. What impressed me the most was that didn't stop the crew from hustling and taking care of our stuff which isn't always the case. I had College Bound Movers twice in the past and had my things damaged both times including my large screen tv broken and they didn't care at all. So this time I booked Orange Truck for my local move in New Hampshire. They gave me a price that was 1/2 of what I was used to so I was kind of nervous. No need for that.
