So here's the scam with this particular moving company. You speak with them on Thumbtack and they give you a price. You agree. Mine was $250. Then that day, after the move is complete they charge you double. They all of a sudden wanted $556. When I refused to pay that, only agreeing to pay the agreed upon price, they threatened me. 3 guys moved me, a single female in, and refused to leave my new building banging on my door and screaming to let them in and that they weren't leaving until I paid. These guys are THE BEST. I had fairly large move from my storage unit and had to get it to Yonkers. While it took me and a friend a whole day to move it into the storage it took just two of them 1 HOUR to get it into the truck. As much as I wanted to help i would have just slowed them down. The experience setting this up as well as the day of the move was seamless and the movers were very friendly. They're also the cheapest rate I found for my move. My deadbolt was broken during this move and I was unable to shut my door. I reached out to them regarding this after already calling a locksmith. They advised that they didn't do it and that I should have called them first to come fix it. Unfortunately, for my own personal safety I was unwilling to wait further. However, I advised that I don't think it was done on purpose or even realized what happened so I'd be happy to pay for half. I sent the invoice and was advised they'd pay a portion of it even though they didn't do it. I said ok, I appreciate it although I don't agree. After weeks of back and forth they said they will not reimburse me at all because insurance needs pictures. Which, if they were going through insurance why would they only pay a portion? I also made the mistake of not taking pictures so I will be getting no reimbursement. They're fast, efficient, and cheap. Just check everything before they drive away. read more

Paris, I love you. Really though. I needed a moving company super last minute. I messaged them at around midnight and a few hours later they were in my living room wrapping my TV (see literal action shot pic that I creepishly snapped). They were super quic, efficient, and quiet. My landlord lived downstairs from me and she didn't even hear them. I wrapped a bunch of wine glasses and other super fragile things in my clothes and stuck everything in boxes. Paris and the other 2 guys were super careful- nothing broke! AND- I will admit I did NOT do the best job packing. They literally handle your belongings as if they were their own. They are priced beyond well and you don't get hit with the "last minute" surcharge like you do with virtually every other moving company. I had to stay in my apartment to clean up, so I asked them to please call me when they were close to my new place so I could have someone meet them there to open up. They had no problem keeping me posted timing wise and I truly appreciated them working with me. They helped making moving EASY. They also do a GREAT job packing up mattresses and bed boxes in plastic wrap to fully secure the material. AND their truck looks clean which is super important because I'm not a germophobe, but I think the easiest way to get bed bugs is by using a random dirty truck that many before you have used. As a native brooklyn girl, I'll tell ya that if your not using these guys to move then your over paying the next guy instead of supporting these local guys who care about the service they provide. So so grateful to have found Paris, Carlton and their team to handle our move. They provided us with a significantly cheaper quote compared to other movers, so I initially wondered what the catch was. They were quick to respond to my e-mails and easy to coordinate with - a huge plus when you're frantically packing at the same time. Their team went above and beyond. While packing we realized that we had so much more stuff than what we had on the initial inventory list we sent for the quote. I'm talking extra boxes, bunch of Ikea bags, random totes, and loose items. They seemed confident that they would still get it all done by the allotted time and that they did. They even picked up a Craigslist buy for us on the way with no issues. They disassembled and packaged all fragile and large items with blankets and plastic wrap. I'm still amazed that they did all that and got everything out of a 3rd floor walk up without any issues or damaged items within 5 hours. Happy to report there's no catch to the affordable fee. Great movers, horrible management. I just had them move me today and they showed up early by an hour. I told the movers I wasn't ready and still needed that hour but they insisted it would be okay. Because I wasn't ready, we were having to scramble and move things around. The movers packed up and left at one point thinking everything was packed when it wasn't and I told them they had to come back up to grab more. Not a huge issue but it delayed things. I get the bill and they started charging me an hour before they were scheduled and we got done 5 hours later, going beyond the flat-rate, more than doubling my bill. I got a call from their management right afterwards, talking over me and saying it was my fault for letting them in. I kept explaining the movers said it would be "okay" assuming that meant I wouldn't be charged extra. I don't have a lot of money right now due to moving suddenly due to my old apartment having a busted pipe in the ceiling and had to just now take a pay day loan out to cover this. I made sure to give the movers each $20 but will never be using this company ever again. Moving is stressful enough and I'm super happy with my decision to use Just4Move! Paris and his crew arrived on time and early for my move. They worked very hard to move quickly even with the building's slow and busy elevator situation. The move out took longer than expected due to the elevators, but they were calm and seemingly unbothered even though I felt terrible about the delay! They quickly unloaded in my new location and I can't thank them enough for making a stressful situation as smooth as it could possibly go. My one other snag, was a piece of wood bed frame split when they were dissembling, but they were able to save it and fix it upon re-assembly. I will be recommending these guys to any of my friends! If I could give them zero stars, I would. We were scheduled to move at 3pm today, paid the security deposit and everything, and about 30 minutes before they were to arrive, they called to let us know that their prior move was taking longer than expected. We were fine with it, called our new building to change the move time and guarantee the elevator, and waited for an update from the movers. They never called us with updates, we had to keep calling them and most of the time, they didn't answer. After changing it to 4pm then 7pm then telling me they didn't know when they would show up, they became completely unresponsive. It is now 9pm and they are not answering any of our calls, 6 hours after the scheduled move time. I have never been so screwed over by a company before. I understand that things happen, and sometimes companies have no control over the amount of time it takes to do things, but the unprofessionalism of this company is unbelievable. They should have been updating us every hour. we should not have had to CALL THEM to find out where they were and when we call, they should answer! They were completely unsympathetic about how their issues affected us as their customers and we now don't have movers when we desperately need them. Do not trust these guys! If you need someone responsible who will actually show up as scheduled and be responsive, this team is not for you. I now need to contact my credit card company to dispute the deposit charge. Found this company via Yelp. I sent out a bunch of requests for quotes for my small move and got the cheapest rate by far- $195 flat rate for 2 hours. ($100 for every hour after that) Alvaro is kind and quick to respond. I believe this is a small-ish company. I read some reviews about movers being late / scheduling being an issues so I would recommend being flexible with the time and date as I was. My movers arrived perfectly on time. I only had 3 pieces of furniture to move and wrapping up took the most time. The movers were extremely careful not to damage my stuff. You will need to send a list of items to be moved, be sure not to deviate from this list otherwise you may incur an additional charge. If you want to make sure you only pay the 2 hour flat rate, make sure you're packed up and ready to go when your movers arrive and also account for travel time as well. read more

I had very specific hours in which my things could be picked up and although they were booked, they were able to find a time on the day I needed to move. I did a small local overnight move. They are very responsive through text and willing to answer questions. Although they arrived a little later than our determined moving time, they are very quick. All of my things were moved in and out in less than 30 minutes, and one of the locations was a walk-up. Overall, really great service and very responsive. I would definitely recommend, especially for the price! I've moved 10 times in the last 13 years (welcome to NYC) and working with this company has been the best experience I've had. I was moving out of my apartment which suffered a fire so the place was pretty hazardous and confusing to maneuver. The move also took several hours even though I paid for a total of three. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! I wish I could leave the 0 stars. I made it clear that I could only move into my building M-F, 9-5. They were scheduled on a Fri from 2-5. When they did not show up on time I contacted them and was told the movers were 35min away. Things got worse from there. For 3 hours they kept telling me someone was on their way.... They were sending a diff moving crew....They'll be there soon....Someone showed up at 5pm! I was not able to move at this time. And I was only moving 3 blocks away!!! Had they been honest with me I could have tried to salvage the day. Because it was Friday I was left in a difficult and stressful situation. They don't take responsibility for their ignorance, but it is their logistics that failed and giving me incorrect information that made me think someone would arrive at any moment, that's why I didn't just starting carrying boxes the 3 blocks over to my new apt. I'm moving to a new apartment and when I saw that this company was still in business I felt it imperative to write a review. Hands down the worse moving experience ever! Not only were the movers late, they did a move DURING my move. As a result I was out of money traveling back in forth to the Bronx at the last minute and missed my appointment for my WiFi and cable to be installed. My move took 6 hours and my bed frame was dented. I felt somewhat concerned for the movers until I started receiving unknown calls shortly after I complained. If you have all day to wait and willing to risk infestation from other people's furniture then these are the movers for you! I wish I could give them zero stars! Confirmed my moving date the day before and I even provided a deposit. They never showed, were first late and didn't call me. Awful customer service. The girl who answered didn't have an answer or know what was going on. Very soft spoken. Didn't follow up. I had to keep calling for an answer. Told me another 45 minutes to an hour nobody showed. I waited a few hours just to be told I had to wait even longer and I said no pls cancel. At one point, weren't even answering the phone. Original move time was 3pm and I waited till 5 yet they wanted me to wait till 8pm because didn't have a truck. So unprofessional and rude. Do not use this company. They thought about how'd they load truck, wrapped my items appropriately, and carried boxes down and up steps at both locations with no fussing.
