Hot honey pepperoni thin crust

The black of the house did a wonderful job ! We got the XL hot honey pepperoni pizza and as an appetizer the pepper jack cheese curds . The server asked if we wanted appetizers we ordered the cheese curds 2 drinks . Our pizza came out before our appetizer . Which was disappointing.and the expensive price tag for the amount . The pizza itself was thin crust and delicious She never came back . No refills we had to ask for our own to go box and walk up to the counter to pay instead of the table . We were completely forgotten . Won't be returning .

I was happy to see Derby City Pizza Company was moving in where Pizza Hut was in the past. PH moved further away from home and I stopped buying it. PH seemed to be declining in quality anyways. Today was the Grand Opening for Derby City in Jeffersonville so I wanted to be first reviewing it. I looked up the menu online and went through the motions to purchase through the website. It gave me a price, but I called it in. If you hear a sweet voice on the phone, you've been blessed to speak with Haleigh. Every business should have Haleigh answer their phone. She has a pleasant voice and temperament to match. I ordered the pizza over the phone and was quoted a higher price, about $4 more. I got in my car and ran over to the store to speak with someone and start my review. I met Haleigh in person and Manager, Mike. I told Mike what I found concerning online prices and store prices. He was surprised to hear about this, but said he would look into it. He gave me the 15% military discount and introduced me to the building owner who was a personable Navy Master Chief. We had a good conversation, including the pricing issue. The Master Chief introduced me to the business owner, Larry Davis who immediately got on the phone with his people concerning the pricing issue. Larry told me his people were already working on it and will get it corrected. The store is like brand new with a fabulous, covered, outside patio. The inside is nice and includes a private room for parties and a separate bar. I hear some electronic games are going to be added soon. There are several TV's to watch sports. Derby City is definitely an upgrade to the last occupant of this space. The pizza is normally thin crust or add $3 or $4 for thick crust. I really like the taste of the sauce and wifey and I have moved to thin crust for several years now. The pizza was cold by the time I got home due to me talking so long at the restaurant. I still liked it. The grandkids ate some, but wifey doesn't care for cold pizza. That's on me. I would definitely order from Derby City again. Perhaps the wife will like it hot next time. They also have appetizers, toasted subs, pasta, lasagna, salads and wings. I trust this is a great addition to Jeffersonville and has an easy location to get in and out. The entire staff was friendly and willing to bring customer satisfaction as Larry gave me the difference of online price and store price. Again, that should be corrected any day now.

It's definitely one of those places that cater to regulars and has a divey feel to it…read more We ordered a couple of appetizers, including : Jalapeno wontons (filled with jalapeños, cream cheese, and bacon, then fried to a golden brown. Served with our famous sticky sauce.) These were really good, not spicy but flavorful. Hoopster's Hot Packets (3 Empanadas filled with taco meat Served with our house-made chipotle aioli.) I did not care for these, the filling was meager and the exterior was literally dipping with oil which I cant stand with fried foods. For my meal I ordered a Shrimp Taco, Hand Breaded (topped with crunchy cabbage and cilantro salad. Served with homemade secret sauce.) Did not care for this, the breading on the shrimp was extremely salty, so much that I couldnt finish. However, the Fish Taco, which I got grilled (topped with crunchy cabbage and cilantro salad. Served with homemade secret sauce.) was much better - very fresh and very tasty. Service was adequate in terms of attention, not too much, not too little. There was a smell of dirty dish water/cleaning fluid at the time we were there which did put a slight damper on the experience but hopefully that was a one off and isnt there all the time. I dont know if I would make a special trip here again but I would probably go with people who were already going to watch a game or something.

We LOVE the salads here. They are huge and fresh and always delicious. Between our family this summer we've also tried burgers, chicken, ribs, seafood boils, mac and cheese, and green beans. Nothing has disappointed! Also, the snow cones here are the absolute smoothest I have ever had. Such a nice treat on a hot summer day! We have interacted with owner multiple times and he has such a welcoming personality. He and his family are doing a great job running this restaurant. They are very conscious about the pandemic and are currently operating curb side only. You can call ahead to save time or place your order from the parking lot. Seating was available inside and out - accessible seating for those in a wheelchair would be difficult indoors due to limited space - tables are very close together. We elected to sit indoors due to the heat and had no trouble finding an available table. Our server was Greg and while the restaurant was not crowded - he was covering table tables both inside and out - which meant he would disappear for long periods of time. While he did his best to cover everyone appropriately, I believe the manager should reevaluate table coverage for a superior dining experience. The menu provides ample selection of items to order. I would highly recommend the large pretzel as an appetizer. We ordered the Cuban sandwich with potato salad and a chicken sandwich with waffle fries. I mentioned to Greg that I was lactose intolerant and he was able to accommodate by ensuring he would mention to the chef that no diary should be used in preparation. Both sandwiches arrived with no issues - with the only complaint being that the potato salad was very bland. Other than that, all went well. Overall, the food was good - fairly straightforward bar food. During peak times - seating will be limited, possibly non-existent. If you try Pearl Street Taphouse go during off-peak hours for the best service and seating options.

A group of four that arrived after us was served, and left before our waitress brought our food. Our waitress was pleasant enough, but she was a ghost - we rarely saw her. Even water was slow to arrive. One man in our party went to his car to get his own water bottle. The fish nuggets in the fish and chips were not done. Potato salad had little flavor. The huge pretzel was a hit, but not much else. Too bad. We had high hopes. Addendum: the owner's response is basically the same excuse she's repeated to nearly every less than good review. 1,) I wish I'd read reviews first, 2,) they should actually work on improving food and process rather than making excuses if they don't want to close the doors.
