Update: I have since been back and tried their brownie sundae and reese's flurry. The brownie sundae was delicious and the whip cream is easily the best whip cream I've ever had.

I have always drove past Deri Delite and was always interested in trying them out. I'm glad I finally did before they close down for the season. I saw a facebook ad where they were showing off their new fall flavors- one which included a new pumpkin spice sundae. I saw it and immediately had to try it out. When I got there it wasn't crowded. I ordered a small and the man behind the counter was very nice. My sundae was ready in 2 minutes. They also offered me a free slushy (which I guess that comes with every purchase). I declined the slushy, but I'm sure they are great. The sundae was delicious. Which I wasn't sure how I would like pumpkin spice flavored ice cream but it was really tasty! So glad I finally decided to give deri delite a try. They will definitely see me again soon!

Deri Delite will forever be home. If you've never tried, you've never lived. Highly recommend all of their food items and ice cream treats. The service is top notch and you always get a free slushy for visiting.

This is a hidden gem in Aurora during the summer. You get great customer service, ample parking, and generous portions of the sundaes. Staff was very kind when serving us. We got the strawberry shortcake and nutty sundae. Excellent quality ice cream, fresh ingredients, and the prices are cheap. They also give you a free slushie with every purchase. I got a mixed flavor. They're closed for winter but please visit them when it's warm out. Worth a visit over the bigger companies.

This little ice cream shop has it all - shakes, floats, slushies, flurries, sundaes, frozen yogurt, novelty ice cream, nachos, mozzarella sticks, stuffed peppers, breaded mushrooms, onion rings, fries, wings, sandwiches, gyro, burgers, corn dog, chicken tenders, etc. There are 4 bench tables available if you want to dine outside. The cashier offered us a free slushy and it was pretty good. Sometimes the line gets long, but that's common with popular ice cream places. Strawberry Shortcake Sundae $5.95 - YUM! Great ice cream with actual strawberries and cake. Pizza Puff $3.50 - Delicious pizza puff, even comes with a side of ketchup sauce. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Soft serve twist dipped in a hot fudge sundae with pecans. Yes, I said pecans. Awesome old school drive up ice cream place.

Deri Delite has the best tasting ice cream in Aurora!!! Jeff and his family always make you feel so welcomed.

Absolutely fantastic! I originally didn't think much of this place when checking out the menu…read moreonline because the food choices didn't look super interesting and the prices were a bit on the lower side. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was completely wrong --- the portions are enormous, the textures are great, the flavors are incredible, and everything I tried was done very well. This is on top of fast friendly service, and a very unique interior. I went here with 3 friends and would absolutely love to come back again soon with even more. As I mentioned, the food here is just awesome. It's clear how much care is put into every single dish with the great presentation, attention to small details, and refined product. I highly recommend the tuna poke, maybe one of the best versions I've ever had of this dish. This has plenty of fish on top of extremely crispy wonton chips. The mix of creamy avocado puree, jalapeno salsa, honey wasabi, and sriracha aioli is incredible. This reminds me of the bold flavor combinations at Girl and the Goat at a lower price point. The bang bang shrimp was another winner with super crispy tempura shrimp served with a delicious sweet chili sauce and cabbage slaw. For anyone who's ever had this dish at Bonefish Grill, you'll be thrilled with this version as well which comes with a very generous amount of shrimp. The burgers were also on point -- both enormous in size and full of flavor in every layer. In addition to perfectly cooked patties (this was great for both the beef and bison I tried), I was pleased that all the components of the burger were very flavorful and well done. That is, the brioche bread was slightly toasted inside, the pickles had just the right level of acidity and texture, the pork belly was super flavorful in itself and cooked great without making the dish feel too fatty, the egg was slightly runny, and the vegetables were all super fresh. Unsurprisingly, their sides were prepared to perfection as well -- with crunchy onion rings and super tasty fries. Overall, this restaurant is worth a special trip and I aim to try every single starter they make soon. It's not often that I'll be thinking about a restaurant long after dining there but the excellence displayed here has left a lasting impression both with myself and my friends that dined here. The excellent meal here definitely made for a very memorable birthday dinner for the party.

Dark beadboard walls, copper ceiling tiles, round orb lighting, and upstairs a cavernous space with soaring ceilings anchored by a stunning skylight. It is genuinely one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the area. Date night approved. One gripe before we get to the good stuff: if you have pages and pages of creative cocktails and an extensive wine list, your two mocktail options deserve the same love. We don't drink and the options were fine but very sour and clearly an afterthought. Do better for the sober and sober curious crowd. Now the food. The burrata was creamy, rich, and gorgeous sitting in olive oil topped with chimichurri and grilled bread. Needed more balsamic to bring the acid balance home, but honestly still one of the better burratas I've had locally. The stuffed pork with gouda, chimichurri, and saffron potato wedges was a genuinely smart plate. The saffron wedges were a surprise standout, bringing a clean earthiness that cut through the richness beautifully. A touch heavy on the gouda and the whole dish woke up considerably with a little extra salt, but the bones of it are excellent. The churrasco hanger steak told the same story. Well cooked, flavorful, chimichurri doing its job. The curly fries were the one shrug of the night. Not bad, just boring next to everything else on offer. Mike our server closed the deal by steering us toward the caramel skillet cookie and honestly, bless him for it. Warm, salty, sweet, rich, topped with cold vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. It is everything a skillet cookie should be and we scraped the pan. We are already planning the return visit and bringing friends. Barrel & Vine is an unexpected dining experience that Plainfield is lucky to have.

It does take a few days for response time - BUT, I always got a response. And she was always willing to give us everything we asked for! The venue even let us in earlier than requested to set up our decor. We would definitely recommend this venue for a bridal/baby shower or birthday party - any special event that is smaller in numbers. Tonight felt especially memorable and worthy of a proper review. We usually avoid Friday nights because Vai's is almost always packed... and after tonight, it became crystal clear why. Diane and I were craving a standout meal, a little comfort, and a relaxing evening together. What we received was far beyond dinner service. We were treated like valued regulars and genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Pete, who I believe is the manager, recognized us immediately and encouraged us to put our name on the waiting list despite the crowd. I'm grateful he did. While we waited, we sat outside near the fire on a cool evening, which added another layer of warmth and ambiance to an already inviting atmosphere. Within minutes, Pete came outside personally to let us know two seats had opened at the bar. That level of attentiveness matters. As soon as we walked in, Eliot and Mallory greeted us with smiles and authentic positive energy. Not forced. Not transactional. Genuine. They made us feel appreciated simply for being there. Even on one of the busiest nights imaginable, they engaged with guests with the same warmth and attentiveness we've experienced during quieter weekday visits. In the background, Morgan was crafting cocktails with precision while still finding time for a familiar nod that quietly says, "Good to see you again." That kind of hospitality cannot be faked. We ordered our favorite dish, the Lobster & Shrimp Rigatoni and once again it was exceptional. Rich, consistent, perfectly prepared, and easily one of the best dishes in Naperville. Without us even asking, the kitchen thoughtfully split the entrée onto two plates. That small gesture perfectly captures what makes Vai's special... attention to detail seems woven into everything they do. From the fire outside to the flowers inside, from the cocktails to the consistency of the food, Vai's creates an atmosphere that feels welcoming, polished, and sincere all at once. Authenticity and respect seem embedded in the culture there. Tonight was a standout evening for us, and I'm genuinely glad we decided to stay despite the crowd. Pete, Eliot, Mallory, Morgan, and the entire staff - thank you for reminding us what great hospitality looks like. Outstanding indeed.

Unfortunately the management is terrible at this location. We were in the area of this particular location so we agreed to try it. We had a server, seemed very polite but inebriated. We waited for drink service almost 30minutes. Unusual for the brand but my daughter just finished competing so she was extra hungry and we stuck around. We ordered 2 salads and 2 orders of Pasta with sauce on the side. Nothing complicated. After 47 minutes our 1st drinks were finally refilled. I asked if everything was ok with the food and I was told they were alittle behind. I looked around and the place is about a quarter empty and It's just before 6pm. We got there around 4 thinking we'd beat the dinner rush. Just in my field of view I saw 16 employees. 7 were standing by a door or by their service stations on their phones. Most the empty tables haven't been bussed. I told my family what I saw and over the next few minutes they said "wow they keep coming out of nowhere". We counted 28 waiters or bus service, most standing around. We finally get 1 pasta dish and 1 salad. I just thought maybe it was too much to carry but they didn't come back. I started looking around after 10min and a manger came by the table. I said politely we were there for awhile and were missing a few items. Just then another salad arrived. The manager apologized and said he'd check on the food. He returned and said our order was lost in the system and they'd start it right away. 5 min later, a pasta dish showed up for my daughter. The manager apologized and said it was human error and offered to refill our drinks. The pasta dish arrived, was not the one she ordered. Were there over 2 hours and practically the simplest and quickest dishes to make, salad and pasta took an extraordinarily long time. The whole purpose of ordering those items was because of the potential expediency of their preparation. We ate and continued to watch so many employees standing around doing nothing. I was taught in the restaurant industry there is no time to do nothing unless you're on break. Setting silverware, cleaning menus, helping bus, refilling drinks, definitely not standing around playing on a phone. The management was embarrassingly inefficient with no accountability for their over bloated staff. I'd recommend avoiding this location.
