I've received 4 facial hair removal laser treatments. The first 3 sessions worked, and I noticed hair loss on my face. However, on the 4th treatment (a different technician) and it literally had no effect. I've tried to communicate with the staff about this concern multiple times, but they literally said it doesn't matter how I feel or think of the result, kept cutting what I was saying, and humiliated me for not understanding the procedure. This is how they treat their customer if we raise our concerns. 5 minutes of a quick session, and they take $77 while offering this kind of customer service. Pros: - Pricing is reasonable for now but it is on the up and up. - Sepideh is my fairy laser godmother, she is gentle, thorough, patient, prompt....everything in you want in someone who is going to laser your nether regions! Seriously shes the best, I feel so comfortable with her and go to Dermace 110% because of her :) - Office is clean and organized, they take pride in their work. - They offer an array of services. - Online booking is awesome and convenient. - The Soprano machine is AMAZING and I have seen amazing results!! Cons - As of March prices are on the rise - Transparency is questionable refer to groupon reviews and changing fine print on website ("full body laser" somehow doesn't include back, abdomen and chest....uhhh how about stating what it is instead of being dishonest?) - I've only found that I connect with Sepideh, I found Gabriella very aggressive in both personality and the way she does laser. Just a personal preference but when you're lasering my face and/or intimate parts of my body I'd prefer to be with someone I feel comfortable with. - They charge if you run late or miss appointments but I've gone early for appointments and had to wait 5-10 minutes, so again lets be courteous and transparent. - I've booked online and then had Aman from the Brampton office call asking for me to change appoints - irritating and I've stopped accommodating. I have a busy life too, please show some respect to clients. - They will give you a discount if you write a google review - but they breath down your neck as you write it - uh OK! Awkward! read more

I had 8 laser treatments here a few years ago and was very disappointed. Saw basically no results and even felt like I grew more hair on my face after which I've heard could happen if it's done with the wrong laser machine or unskilled staff. I bought a Groupon for 6 areas and was told my whole face was considered to be 2 areas and each armpit was considered 2 areas as well making two armpits come up to 4 areas in total which I felt like was a lie and they were taking advantage of me because I was somewhat very young at the time. I didn't argue but should have. The staff is very unfriendly and I almost had a new person perform the treatment on me each time I went in which made the quality of the service I got each session vary. Some of the staff were so not skilled at all by any stretch​ of the imagination. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. read more

I've been to Dermace (markham location) a few times now and the service is great! I've only had 2 laser hair removal treatment seasons so far and I have already noticed a reduction in the hair on my arms and legs. I had been to another laser clinic/spa in markham before (that uses a different brand of laser) and hadn't gotten the same results as I did at Dermace. I came here because quite a few of my friends and family go to the Dermace Markham clinic and have had great results. Everyone here is so nice and i don't feel pressured into buying other services/products. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

Their Groupon is worded to deliberately mislead you. They don't say anything when you book your appointment even though the manager says they are aware of the confusion, theh let you come in to pressure you to buy what you thought you got with the Groupon. The groupon implies six treatment areas for up to six bodyparts. It is 1 bodypart for six treatments .. 2 areas for 3 treatments.. 3 areas for 2 treatmenrs and so on. read more

I had been going to this clinic for almost 2 years for laser hair removal. At first the process was working a bit and then my technician changed and I noticed my hair started growing back much faster, and I started having hair growth in places I never did before. The reason for my 1 star is not so much because of the laser hair removal but moreso because of the service. I notified them of my issue and received no answer for about 2 weeks. After finally hearing back and sending me in circles it's been well over a month now and still have not heard from them or received a solution. Very rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. I will not be returning and urge others to not even bother, unless you want to pay for more hair growth instead of hair removal. read more

I've had several laser hair removal treatments at this beauty clinic and so far my experience has been less than satisfactory because of their poor customer service. I have had other laser hair removal treatments done elsewhere and have had much better service and results. Dermace has evening appointments available for the convenience of the working population, however, they always seem unwelcoming of their evening clients. I am always greeted with a grouchy face after fighting traffic to try to make my appointment. I feel that if they are not willing to see late appointments, they should not make late appointments. I have never felt welcomed at this clinic. The technicians always look like they are doing a tedious chore to perform my laser treatment. They are also not very thorough and I'm still having several patches of hair growing back on the inner side of my lower legs where the technician never spends enough time on with the laser. I can not wait to be done with the rest of the treatments with this clinic. I never want to return here to see their unwelcoming faces again. read more

I have to say that the owener, Simona needs to hire someone personable to do phones as well as greet you when you get there. One of the worst places I've ever been to. Was a new customer and came in to ask questions and have a consultation. The staff was super unfriendly and very passive with their answers. It was like they were doing me a favor by answering them. The facility is super small and it's not really what you think of when you think of "clinic". Prices are cheap however it shows through their service. Also there were a TON of male clients which is okay by me but I was the only female in the waiting room. Felt a Little uncomfortable especially since Simona (I think the owner?) started talking about lasering in the ahem male private gential area. I didn't know that was a thing but apparently in this place it is? I don't know I just didn't get good vibes...I would say half their clients are men which can put off a lot of people especially when the owner starts talking about their Private area infront of me in the waiting room and I was the only female client there. Also they kept pressuring me to buy more packages. read more

I'm not quite sure as to why the reviews are so poor, my experience at Dermace has been AMAZING thus far and I'd like to share it with everyone. Starting from my first appointment, I was very nervous and was worried that treatment would be painful (as the old machines were) and I may burn, however the staff made me super comfortable, and my technician Simone was great and reassured me that it would be a comfortable treatment and I'd leave happy and hair free. She was right! I barely felt a thing and after shaving for the first time 4 days following, as per her recommendation, my hair growth slowed down immensely!! It was also much finer. After having done about 6 treatments so far, I almost have no hair...and the little hair that comes back is so fine and soft. Their machines are top of the line, painless, and the most effective that I've used on my skin. I was especially nervous about lasering my face for the first time, and after 6 treatments now, not only is almost ALL my hair gone, but my skin has also lightened up and evened in skin tone! Oh, and their prices!!! Very affordable, much less than any other clinic my friends and I used to go to! I can't say enough about how happy I am with this place! I've also tried their hydrafacials with Simone, which are very soothing, and she did an amazing job clearing up my blackheads, skin imperfections, and dirt/residue from under my skin and pores. I'll definitely come back for that one soon! I'd like to also try their body contouring treatments, which I've heard great reviews from a few friends and family members that have tried it. I would give zero stars if that was an option. My mom and I went there together after she had spoken to them about laser hair removal. You can't rely on the word of their employees. We got two completely different messages with a staggering price difference. Decided not to go through with it but my mom went for dark spot correction and it was her most hated appointment. The staff looks like they're doing you a favour by looking your way. Their mode of communication is also horrendous. Appointments can be made but God forbid you try to change it... You will never know. They never respond to phone calls, voice mails or emails. I seriously signed up for yelp just to do this. read more

I had read several mixed reviews about this place. From those reviews, I got the impression that although there were no complaints regarding the procedures and facility, several people were unhappy about service. I had decided that I could put up with some (possible and alleged) poor service for good results so I set out to contact them. I was hoping to get a few questions answered and had every intention of booking an appointment. Because I would have been a new client, I wanted to speak to someone first rather than just go by their online booking service. I called several times over a few evenings. No one ever answered even though I called within their business hours. I left messages with my number and, sure enough, I never got a call back. It's a shame because I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt but I guess it's true... Customer service sucks. I will be looking elsewhere. read more

I was treated by a nurse named Simona Ghinet, at Dermace skin care clinic in Markham. She had preformed laser hair removal treatment on my legs, and has burned the back of my legs. My legs are now completely scabbed from the burn, and are scarring. My initial meeting with Simona after being burned was very frustrating. She back tracked on everything she said to me on the day of treatment, and brushed off my burns like it was no big deal. Not happy with how I was treated, and due to the fact I was in pain, I went to go see my family doctor. Who was concerned about the intensity of the laser that was used, and feels most likely that I will have scars. After filing a written complaint with the Dermace clinic, I was asked to come in to show my legs again. When I got there I was told Simona had left on a family emergency. Since then only another worker there has contacted me, Simona has not followed up with me at all. I feel this very unprofessional on her part. I was encouraged not to cancel my next appointment. When I said there is absolutely no way I'm going back to this place or her. There has been no response to email in regards to cancelling my appointment. Finally today after calling and leaving a message, did I get response from another nurse about confirming the cancellation of my August appointment. However, again no contact with Simona. I'm so very upset about the condition of my legs and also how I have been treated by Simona Ghinet. I do not feel this professional at all by a registered nurse. People have told me to sue, and although this is something I am considering, it's not going to help the scars on my legs. But I want to prevent others from having to endure what I have.
