Most underrated breakfast spot come enjoy breakfast. Hours are 8-8 min- Fri 7am on weekends . We made the mistake at coming at 7 during week day they haven't updated time but so happy we came back for breakfast

Solid burger! Did not expect it to come on Texas toast but it was a great idea! Fixings were all freshed and meat temp cooked to order. Service was outstanding even though there was only one person working the entire restaurant! She was very sweet and attentive! Parking was easy right out front. Great stop after a hike on your way back to San Diego.

We bicycled up through desert mountain country wondering if we had enough water when we came upon the Junction. Our server Alyssa and food and icy drinks were a godsend. Had our own window side booth by the window. "Stay as long as you like," she said. Get the taco salad - huge crispy edible bowl packed throughout with chunks of grilled chicken and surprises at every level like avocado slices cheese and refried beans at the base--if you make that far! The cowboy and highway biking decor was perfect to recharge our enthusiasm for the endless mountain climb to Julian. She said watch out for rattle snakes!

Right off the side of the road in the middle of nowhere where you can stop and get yourself the Hugest pancake! Then head to the gift shop and bring the kids home something nice from your travels!!

1/2 Sweet Jalapeno Burger, 1/2 Grilled Chicken Ranch Melt, fresh cut fries. This is the part that's coming g home with us...

We don't frequent here but we've dined here a few times. Every time we are impressed with the place. Small time vibe from the staff, great decor, clean and then the food. The food is fresh, hot, and made with quality ingredients. The combinations they put together are fantastic. Today we ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Burger and the Grilled Chicken Ranch Melt. We both chose fries as our side. Both sandwiches exceed expectation. The fries are ridiculously delicious. When around here again we will dine here, again. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality and quantity. They do charge 3% on CC, but so few place don't do that.

Some good food a little far from anything. We stopped by here on a motorcycle ride and had a great meal. The service was really good and the food was even better. Check out all of the food options and try it if you are in the area!

Living in the backcountry we enjoy this restaurant quarterly. My son loves the Texas toast grilled cheese and onion rings. I like the Philly cheesesteak. Side salad is ok, better off getting fries. They have generous servings on fries and onion rings.

A quaint and simple place in Descanso that seems to have a good local following. Dinner was a mixed bag for us, my partner having ordered the Chicken pot pie. It looked wonderful but actually became a disappointment. My tri tip was extremely tender and plentiful. Accompanied by mashed potatoes with gravy and corn on the cob, it was a real down home meal. No room for dessert.

I have been here a couple of times and have always enjoyed it. The place has a very cool, Western Movie Saloon vibe about it. The staff is always friendly and happy to answer questions. And I've never had a bad meal. Their burgers are always fresh and juicy and simply just DE-LICIOUS! I've enjoyed most of their burger options and today's was their Fireman burger ... spicy and yummy. They also have daily specials, which look phenomenal and I look forward to enjoying more. The one knock i have is that, as it's an older place, there are a few flies you may have to deal with. And the Men's Room can use a little attention ... yes, I know that men are pigs, but some of us do appreciate a clean restroom. That said, this is definitely a place to visit after a hike, during a drive though the local mountains or just a trek for an amazing burger!

Bad service, menu and quality. A good place to not get what you ordered. I drive by this place daily and will never stop here again.

I went with the Nickel Pickle burger that most seemed to like and I have to say was pretty damn good. Sitting on a bun that fit the burger well (sometimes the burger is too small for the bun an visa versa) built on a layer of pickles and nickel special sauce sits a quality burger patty topped with a slice of cheddar, tomato, and a bed of arugula or what appears to be a spring mix of lettuce. All in all it worked. While savoring each bite I washed it down with a Russian River Blind Pig. I was disappointed they were out of Pliny the Elder but BP is a good second choice. The beer list is legit by the way; local craft beers including Nickel Brewery in Julian well represented. I'll be back, maybe bring the family and give the menu a proper go.

The burgers were very tasty, the fries were excellent, and the relaxed atmosphere near the lake made for a really enjoyable stop. What made the visit especially memorable was our server, Will. After placing our order, I realized I had forgotten my wallet, which created a stressful moment as I tried to figure out where I might have left it. When I shared this with Will, he asked if I was married, which I shared that I am unfortunately going through a divorce. He responded with genuine empathy, sharing that he had also gone through difficult times himself. He suggested ways we could work out payment, encouraged me not to worry, and allowed us to continue enjoying our meal while I sorted it out. That level of compassion, kindness, and understanding made a real difference. I was able to arrange payment over the phone, my daughters avoided what could have felt like an embarrassing moment, and by the end what could have been an awkward moment turned into a positive memorable experience. Great food is always appreciated, but great service is what people remember -- and Will absolutely made this visit stand out. Highly appreciated.

Now let's talk food... the brisket was out of this world! Tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of smokiness. Paired with the coleslaw (so fresh and delicious) and their BBQ sauce that was sweet but not overpowering, the whole combo was dynamite. I even had to snap a "before" pic of the plate--and let's just say the "after" pic didn't survive because it was THAT good! They were out of dessert during our visit, but I'll definitely be back to try that cinnamon and lemon pound cake that customers around us were raving about. Big shoutout to Vi and to Penelope (I believe she was the cook that day) for serving up not just a meal, but an experience. The layout was super cool and very clean. The restaurant itself is pretty large, with a nice bar area in the front for more casual dining than 2 other dining areas in the back. They also had the biggest fireplace I've ever seen which was unique. The staff here are very professional, cordial and efficient, and the kitchen did a good job on plating. To the best part - the food. Really excellent menu that made it hard for me to pick. After much deliberation, I ordered the crab cakes that were much larger than I expected and filled with crab and probably one of the tastiest crab cakes I've had. I stayed on the seafood route and ordered the Atlantic sea scallops with pancetta and mushrooms. And again, the scallops were larger than I expected and I really enjoyed this dish. My dining companion went the turf route and got the filet mignon, and lucky me, I got to try it and was pretty solid and cooked perfectly. Then the finale of chocolate cake, very decadent was a great end to a delicious dinner!
